Fully agree with Wheaters below… this fragrance was the last push needed to convert me into an Alien lover and I evetually bought both Alien EDP and Alien Essence Absolue. I find that Stars is a great alternative for summer, and suspect it may be closer to the Alien EDT (which I havent tried so far). If you are looking for a dupe of the EDP I would suggest you also look at Perfume Parlour’s Alienz Women. I have the oil based one and it is closer to the EDP than Stars. It does however have a slight dirty undertone (which I love). The reason I still have Stars in my wardrobe is, as I mentioned, because it is lighter than the EDP but still has great sillage and ok longevity on me. It also layers well, if you have an Al Rehab Jasmin oil or similar you should try to combine that with Stars. It does a great job when you sort of know you are going to shower or change clothes quite often and don’t want to waste your precious Alien :-)) (which I love to sniff on my clothes and scarves as it lingers on and on)

It’s not miles away from Alien but it is also not an acceptable substitute. Stars also has the weird Milton Lloyd “Mystery Note” that features in many (not all) of their perfumes and that I find unpleasant*.
Perhaps if I tried Stars without the preconception that it would be an inexpensive dupe for Alien then it would be different. As it is, I am a hard core Alien devotee and Stars doesn’t do anything for me.
If you haven’t tried Alien and/or are not looking for its dupe, then by all means, try Stars. The notes are pretty nice and it is likely to to be a hit for many people. I fully admit that I approached this intending to compare it to Alien and should have known I would be disappointed, however I suggest that people give Stars a try. It’s inexpensive enough to not be a huge problem if you find it’s not for you, and if you like it, well then that’s great 🙂
*i don’t know what the note is nor why it is in some Milton Lloyds and not others. It’s a bit of a sour, sweet-decay kind of note. If anyone else knows what I mean and/or what the note is then please share the knowledge!

I wont buy alien as I buy so many inexpensive perfumes often. This is a great dupe and is much better than any other dupe of alien I have encountered. Love it

I don’t have TM Alien but do recognise the scent within this. As shushkin has said, it doesn’t have the depth that the original has but it’s still a really nice scent.
Will comment on longevity and sillage once i’ve had a chance to wear it properly.
Edit. This is better for spraying onto clothes rather than skin. It faded quite quickly on my wrists but i can still smell it on my scarf from a few hours ago. I could smell it coming off me for a bit while i was out and about too. Scent wise it does smell like Alien but again it’s missing that oomph. Great if like me you can’t currently afford Alien and can just spritz this throughout the day

I already have TMs Alien so I could do a direct comparison. Its not bad. Stars does not have Aliens depth and the top notes are a bit chemically but the dry down is pretty much spot on. Alien easily lasts all day on me and longer but Stars is weak and feable. Stars stays close to the skin after about half an hour. I keep it in my bag now to spritz during the day instead of using up my pricey but so worth it Alien.
