Well, since I praised this I wore it again a couple of times and detected a distinct ‘lighter fuel, petrol’ smell when I first sprayed. I shall leave it for a bit

I’ve only recently smelled ‘Angel’ on a couple of people after being completely unimpressed by ‘Angel Violet’ in an upmarket French perfumerie. They seemed to think I’d like that! Lol. I must admit I want keen on ‘Angel’ but this passes for it without that icky ‘Sherbert lemon’ note so I’m enjoying wearing it. To be honest my once fantastic sense of smell has greatly dimmed in the past few years possibly the effect of blood pressure tablets so I need something I can REALLY smell and this is it. I like it.

I waited for this to develop after the sharp citrus settled down. I swear there’s grapefruit in it. Once on for half an hour, it developed into a gorgeous patchouli.
I love patchouli – a hangover from my slightly hippie uni days burning Indian incense – and it is a real spirit lifter for me.
If you love patchouli, I think you’ll like this – a darn sight cheaper than Angel, which it is very similar to.

I’m on my fourth bottle of this.
It was love at first smell for me.
To me it smells initially of rotting fruit and body odour but in the most unusual delicious way.
    It’s sour and gorgeous!
I apply it generously in the morning and it lasts all day.
I’ve received many compliments when wearing this and once a man randomly asked me if I was wearing Angel. I said yes ha ha!
I will continue to repurchase this.

The first impression does reminds me of Angel. There are some bits missing such as depth and richness of coumarin, chocolate but it’s good enough to enjoy it as angel’s close cousin. If it was EdP it would be a constant part of my collection. Longevity poor. Useful only on wrists and neck.

This smells just like Angel, I smelt Angel years ago and hated it. I recently got sent a sample and I fell in love with it. I found this and bought it on amazon as the reviews were good.
Milton doesn’t disappoint, this smells just like Angel, I can’t tell the difference. it lasts too, I woke up in the morning and could still smell the perfume. It’s beautiful.

I never learn. Something in Angel makes me sneeze and I have to scrub it off. Pity really because I love the smell. I thought I’d chance my arm with ML Spirit of Heaven thinking it might be a lighter, more manageable version. How wrong could I be. I think it’s the Jasmine. Major sneezing fit, and not just me, the whole house was sneezing away, including the dogs. Typically the longevity was amazing, still sneezing at bedtime. Not for me I’m afraid and ML Chacal still my absolute favourite so far.

Bonkers! I’ve recently fallen pretty hard for Angel; I’m saving up for the real thing, but not being too good at the old delayed gratification thing, I decided to get this as a stand-in until I was able to afford the genuine article.
I didn’t have high hopes; I mean, it cost me £3.99 so how good could it be? Not very, I imagined, but curiosity and impatience got the better of me, and, well….. I’m pretty fanned impressed! The VERY first blast (literally the first five seconds) are pure alcohol but then it settles down and develops into, well, ANGEL. It’s got the dirty patch, super-dark chocolate and incense all going on, just like the real thing. And the sillage is pretty good – not quite as enormous as the edp, but that’s not always a bad thing. I’m comparing it with what’s left of my Angel sample and they really are almost identical.
I think when I get my ‘real’ Angel, I’ll get another of these for daytime use and keep the Mugler for special occasions. Angel-lovers, DO try this! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! I’m going to get the Rush copy next – in fact, I’m having a ‘grown-up’ slumber party next month; I may just get a few of these so we can have a laugh working out which pricier fragrances they are trying to be!
Very impressed that these guys have managed to create such a good dupe on such a low budget. Can’t decide who is the bigger genius – Mugler or Milton Lloyd!

Can’t comment on longevity as i didn’t have this on for long. It’s certainly strong, but the initial spray for me had something really off putting in it. Had to wash it off. Gave this to my sister and she said it’s really nice. It’s ridiculously cheap, so worth trying. Just not for me.

I just bought this today because I have always wanted to smell Angel and I would love to own it someday but it is not budget friendly. I read the reviews and decided to shell out the $5 USD. Not bad, not bad at all. This lasts forever and every time I move I get a whiff of myself and I smell freaking delicious! I don’t smell chocolate but I’m not disappointed. I get the fruits, flowers and patchouli. I also get a nineties vibe going on with this perfume. Maybe growing up I smelled this on someone somewhere, I can’t pinpoint exactly what, but it takes me back to my childhood. Lovely stuff.
    Edit: April 7th 2015
I now own Angel, and let me tell you, I can hardly tell the difference between Spirit of Heaven and Angel. They are really similar. Spirit of Heaven doesn’t have the rotting fruit/body odor/dirt opening but there’s no love lost there. You can just dab on Angel lightly and go crazy with Spirit of Heaven all over you. I doubt people will take offence, at least I hope they don’t because this is exactly what I plan on doing. 🙂

There’s no better flanker than a dupe! Or at least this is the case when it comes down to the creations of Milton Lloyd.
Almost dead-on, definitely Angelic [let’s see how many puns I can fit in to this review…] dupe of the notorious / legendary Thierry Mugler perfume. As one reviewer already pointed out, the most significant difference is the missing caramel note – though I, myself, am not complaining. Although I can appreciate and admire the extravagant nature of TM’s Angel, there’s always been just too much going on for me and my nose. Whenever I thought I would finally come to understand the secret of Angel, the fruity caramel note on top of the scent of BO was surely there to make me doubt my senses. “People are actually able to wear this stuff? Wow, I don’t know if I should be jealous or worried.”
How lucky was I to hear about Spirit of Heaven. This dupe has all the hallmark features of its guardian Angel – monster sillage, 10+ hour longevity, and the absolutely divine drydown of chocolate and vanilla.
The first hours are stunningly similar to Angel’s: patchouli overload combined with that easily recognizable “body odor” of musk, then honey and cotton candy, plus mild fruitiness from passionfruit in the background. The road to the heavenly chocolate drydown is not as rocky as in Angel, so yes, I would say this is easier to wear, more suitable for daytime use than the original. I can even detect the rose note after a while, what a nice surprise!
… Okay, I will admit this: I was jealous of those able to pull off Angel! So just imagine my enchantment when I finally wore this and got to witness the magical moment of pure sex and higher spirit that everyone’s been talking about.
With the price of this dupe ranging from 3 to 5 euros, there’s simply no one I wouldn’t recommend Spirit of Heaven to – even if you go wrong, well, the (financial) fall could be a lot worse! This is especially great option for those wanting to blind buy Angel against their better judgement (and everyone’s advice). Spirit of Heaven could also make a wonderful daytime wear in case you are saving your precious Angel only for special occasions.
To end this review simply (and quickly, since I wish to already be in my bed, snuggling into the scent of this): J’adore, Spirit of Heaven!

Just like Angel, warm and sexy with all the dark chocolate and spice you could want.

Well, if someone likes angel, she will like this. It’s almost dead-on dupe. Οf course, it is not as spicy and fruity as Angel. It misses my favorite apricot and caramel notes which I can distinct at Angel, but still a good dupe. Someone might think that is an Angel Flanker. It has big longevity and sillage as well
