This is a warm, richly resinous, fresh woody fragrance. There’s a deeply resonant and earthly patchouli, that along with the darker spruce and fresh green fir reminds you of being in a pine forest of old. Decaying pine needles litter the ground, and beneath that dark, earthy tones underlie the fresh green notes of the forest trees above. Clean, crisp, bright cedar, like a newly cut logwood cabin, stands alone, the fresh overtures of light citrus and olibanum enhance these woody notes. Inside the logwood cabin, theres a blazing benzoin that offers a kindled feeling, like freshly split firewood, spitting and crackling on the hearth.

From the moment I first encountered this perfume it was my new favourite. The rich forest wood tones and sharp, fresh citrus make me feel as if I have just set foot in an ancient Elvish forest, hidden away from the world. This perfume smells like sunlight and flourishing greens, wise old trees, and sweet dreams in a log cabin. Great during the day, even better at night. Addictive as all hell, I’m already on my second bottle.
