Songe Pour Lui is loooovely!!!! It is a beautiful golden sunset, a heavenly, brilliant sunset!! One of those ones you just stand looking at, in a stunned state of reverie! Lovely, bright and warm, just gorgeous. Soft and luxurious. Very sensual and elegant. Lovely bright glorious beginning, with citrus and pink pepper, then comes gentle and sweet vanillary jasmine and then a gorgeous divine smooth dry-down of saffron, gentle oud and beautiful resins. It’s just wonderful!!! I adore it, really really love it!!!
My husband wears it too, and it smells beautiful on both of us. Also…..I just adore ADOOOORE the stunning, glorious bottle!!!!!!!! Wow!!!! Wow wow wow!!! It’s magnificent!!!!

In my opinion (and I did own both) this smells absolutely nothing like mon nom est rouge! Rouge Is a thick deep dark rich woody rose with very littke sweetness and this is a bright saffron oud mix woody scent that slughtly recalls classic mens coligne….bcuz theres lots of bergemont and wood with pepper. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could even find them slightly similar….. I actually find rouge to be slightly more masculine and plenty less sweet. The only similarity I find is that they are both highly gorgeous and unisex as well as full bottle worthy
FYI…this would be an excellent starter oud or even for someone like myself whom normally cant stand the smell if oud as much as I wanted to love
Also, the drydown is a soft saffron woods sweetenef by a slightly gormand type resin.a warm sexy resin. I guess if I had to sum things up quickly I would say that this smells of a mysterious sunsine, or rather an unecpected sunset. Picture a normal walk home from the corner market days are getting shorter….u didnt expect it to be dark by the time u got home and u didnt expect the walk home with your significant other to turn into a romantic sunset that changes the corse of your evning
The drydown is a softly spoken, somewhat gormand , a bit boozy type of sunshine at dusk ..

Update Mar. 1, 2012: I most deff. agree to everything jeca said, on my skin its spicy but not so much it is deff. softer spicy && deff. woody I almost detect an earthy quality like soil as well not bad just ever so faint hint, its a nice smell, would I pay 450 for it no but again that is a very unique flacon to own.

The fragrance is brighter than the version for women, and I like it better ;o) This is an optimistic mix of golden resins, this definitions “golden”, “sunny”, warmed by sun fit the fragrance very much ;o) All these woods, spices and flowers smell like sunny day in the forest, the fragrance is very woody.
I like the bottle from the picture (I have only a sample vial right now), but can’t imagine my husband with his big hands applying the fragrance with this little applicator ;o)
