What’s in a name? A great deal I think. Solstice! A time to mark, a turning point, the idea of fire, warmth, a fluid strength, smoke, starry nights, celebration, colour…all present here.
Rainy morning, overcast and as soon as I spritzed this perfume I opened a door into a warm, vibrantly comforting and stimulating world. My first impression is almost of honey. I wonder do I sense patchouli or is it the wonderful blend of wood, incense and oakmoss warmed with rose and the jasmine. I don’t get floral except perhaps as a backdrop at first and as the fires burn to embers, I sink into the heart like an oh so soft eiderdown of rose and jasmine petals, very slightly powdery with smoke and incense. Perhaps this is where the oud comes in.
A great name for a magical perfume.
