notes for Solytis from basenotes:
– lemon, pineapple, ginger, galbanum
– orange flower, ylang-ylang, rose, jasmine, plum
– cedar, vanilla, sandalwood, amber
(so the difference is plum versus lily)

Oh, this is a really cheap smelling chemical mess. Smells worse than a cleaning product…can’t express this enough…being used presently as a bathroom spray, and still may be best to go with the bathroom smells instead…..

Very sweet and tropical. I chose this out of a selection of Lomani perfumes along with some great hand painted paintings for home and silver jewelry. I went to a South American art painting store closing and by the jewelry section was all of the Lomani perfumes. No where on these boxes or bottles have Liz Claibornes name on them. My bottle says Solytis instead. When i got home and looked it up it seems the Solytis printed bottles are sold in European and South American countries while Solara is sold in other parts of the world.
This opens up extremely sweet with fresh pineapple galore! When i first tested at the store i was fore sure there was honeysuckle intertwined with pineapple and jasmine. It must be the orange blossom with jasmine but it does smell beautiful. This is not a coconut-pinapple cocktail scent, thank goodness. Pineapple is the star with a supporting but light citrus which may be from the lemon and orange blossom. There is light woods but pineapple dominates this fragrance from start to finish. Vanilla tones down acidity from the fruit nicely. The sprayer sprays lightly so i went ahead and sprayed away too generously the 2nd time i wore this and it was too much sweetness i couldn’t stand it. This bottle projects lots so the sprayer nozzle squirts a thinner range for a reason.
The bottle is cool like a frosted drinking glass with grooves. The matte finish on the outtie grooves have that frost feel while the innie grooves are silky. Different but not completely outstanding type of bottle. I paid much more for this at the closing than what i see it on line for. I have no problem with that since the family, who’s store is closing, could use some support to pick up the pieces with finances.
Sillage: 9
Longevity: 9
Overall scent: 7.5
You must like pineapple and sweet scents to appreciate this. A beautiful form of a jasmine, vanilla & orange blossom perfume.
