I tend to gravitate toward LE’s and I snatched these Oscar LE’s when I saw them for a sweet deal a couple years ago. I love all the notes. The name says it all. It is indeed soft and all the notes here blend seamlessly and it’s hard for me to decipher them. It open with a VERY mild orange-y patch. Neither being more dominant than the other. I get a wee bit of spice and floral but not distinctly iris. I think the amber gives it that warm balsamic feel, but it not really an amber scent. It works nicely as a seasonal transition scent, bedtime scent or just cuddling up with a good book scent. It reminds me of a much softer version of Nanette, definitely not the same but of a similar style. If you like Nanette as I do you’re likely to enjoy this gentle gem as well.

this is my newest perfume, bought to wear for today… mother’s day. so far, i love everything about it. it’s a beautiful soft amber, warm and lovely. i don’t find this heavy at all. it has moderate projection and longevity and the bottle is gorgeous.. a lovely addition for my collection.

My mom used to wear this. We together chose it for her in a taxfree shop on a ferry. It really smells amber, really warm and comforting. It also is kind of powdery and heavy, so it’s nothing you want to overapply. Unfortunately my mom broke her bottle, so the bathroom smelled of this a really long time after. She was really upset about it since it was her favourite back then.

My box reads the notes as:tangerine, rose, & amber accord. I smell no rose, but perhaps everything blends to create a bright, cheerful, slightly spiced amberine! (amber + tangerine) It does smell like there could be a touch of pepper. Nice & not offensive. Very mild sillage. Lasts about 2 hours.

warm creme brule.
honey+rum.
I don’t get much floral or citrus at all.
light, a little unnoticeable but very comforting.

I am an amber FIEND so I immediately ordered this one.
I do not pick up ANY amber in this one!!!??? In fact, it smells floral to me. So strange and sad.

Agreeing with the previous review, a simple linear scent but a beautiful warm alluring one that doesn’t do a “KAPOW” at your nose. It s so warm and inviting tha tno one would complain about. Reminded me of the dry down of Britney’s Hidden Fantasy but this is much nicer without the cheap orange note (dont know why everyone calls it exotic and spicy,, it s just plain CHEAP) the iris in this keeps it feminine and spring-fresh. Granted that i do love amber scents.. I would definitely keep this in the collection which i dont do often with simpler scents.

I have just purchased this and from the bottle it smells just like amber should smell, but quite strong.
I then sprayed it on my skin and it isnt as strong as I thought it would be from smelling the lid, although it doesnt chage on the skin…. still amber.
It is quite a sweet gourmand amber compared with yves rocher voiles d’ambre for example. However, it is quite linear as others have said and on my skin it doesnt last long at all about two hours before it is just a faint powdery smell.
On the positive I dont mind freshening up every so often so this isnt a problem for me and it is a lovely looking bottle and lid.

I’ve just purchased a bottle of Warm Amber from the special edition collection by Oscar de la Renta. Warm Amber is not my favorite of the set,as it seems a little too generic for my tastes. It layers very well with the Fresh Vanilla though, and for me this will be a layering scent.
The bottle is beautiful, as all the ones from this collection are. They dsplay very well, and can be stacked one on top of another (space restrictions make this a plus for me).

I’ve been dying, dying to buy this one. It’s very peppery and musk. That’s almost it, except that the pepper is tempered by the iris and mandarin for sure. It’s a very simple scent, in that everything builds one soild note, and the individual notes for a while are hard to decipher. Its very summery, yet works seamlessly in the very coldest winter. I fully intend on purchasing this scent sometime in the future.
