Description
A new, interesting collection of perfumes named Six Scents came out of fertile cooperation of the houses of Symrise, Metaproject and Seven New York. It gathered perfumers and artists with an aim to present a fragrant scale, contemporary view of creativity, culture, awareness and collecting.
The collection encompasses six fragrances, each created by one of the following artists: Alexandre Herchovitch, Bernhard Willhelm, Cosmic Wonder, Gareth Pugh, Jeremy Scott and Preen. They presented themselves with their work by shaping this collection and dedicating it to “Designers Against Aids – DAA”. The whole series of fragrances is intended for collecting money for charities.
Six Scents collection includes the perfumes:

I got a decant from a friend a few months ago and I just tried it out about 4 hours ago. I get a light woody and vetiver effect. The Hinoki is more dominant over the cedar as vetiver is in the background. Sillage is about a foot at this moment as I feel the scent rapidly losing it’s edge. Far more better woody compositions such as Anat Fritz instead of this.

Herby, smoky, licorice! Phenolic but sweet, a bit like a trip to the mechanics shop with a bouquet of violets in hand. Fascinating. Would recommend for men. A bit similar to Serge Lutens Vitreol, but darker, richer.
Sabif – :
This is a great woody scent complimented by a dry as desert amber. Very similar idea with Gucci Rush and Wonderwood but where those fragrances stray to the spicy musk or over powdery respectively, this stays true to its woody opening during its evolution on skin. It is also much more natural smelling and more complex than its kin. Opens up green with Galbanum, cypress and black currant leaf and quickly reveals a heart of wood tinged with tobacco. There is a controversial note in the heart that I believe is fenugreek and I also believe there is some tonka. The leafy-watery opening and the sensual drydown temper the wood’s masculinity making this unisex. Too bad only 2.000 bottles were made worldwide and wont be repeated.

Six Scents 3 – Spirit of Wood is a lovely light uisex fragrance. Unlike so many wood based fragrances that smell burnt, this smells like fresh wood – imagine cracking a twig open and sniffing it. The vertiver keeps it green and the amber gives it some depth. It reminds me a little of Different Company Un Parfum des Sens et Bois. It is like walking in the woods in late winter, early spring but without the earth and moss odors. I recommend this for anyone looking for a light yet original scent.
