Description

Sine Nomine is a delicious fruity-floral with a smooth vanilla dry-down. The top features a crisp Red Apple and a sweet Fig note. The mid features a nice note of Tulip and a very dominant, powdery Rose Otto. The dry-down features a nice Vanilla, with hints of woods and green notes, provided by Iso E Super and a Fern note, respectively. Not sure why this one is marked as unisex, this is 100% feminine. It is a Floral/fruity bomb that smells like a high-end air freshener.
Doesn’t smell bad, I actually think the apple note is done quite well here. But no man is pulling this one off by any stretch of the means.

I’m going full Gall(review 8/8). Uh oh! I don’t smell Sime Nimone, i smell trouble. Smells like there was a lot of acquiescing going on in the Gallagher camp. Who co-signed this fragrant crime?!?! After the initial blast, my first thought was “this better change and change quickly.” To my chagrin, the hope for change was null and void. This is straight up Apple Cinnamon Glade Air Freshner. The results are deserving of the “McKayla Moroney is not impressed” meme. By far the most synthetic apple I’ve smelled in any kind of perfumery. The fig is absolutely on the amateur side albeit it has the creaminess of Cetaphil lotion. Once again, I can’t seem to escape that same fruity/woody combination that’s omnipresent in Gallagher creations. I’m not gonna lie, I can imagine this smelling really great on a sweater. Overall, this fragrance feels thrown together without any real evaluation.

Sine Nomine, the beautiful unnamed shape-shifter. Her opening act is a mouth-wateringly fresh apple – like you’d just bitten into it. Multiple metamorphosis take form, including the Aquatic (which registers as ‘coconut’ on my skin); and the vanilla-coconut combo offers a creamy vibe. Said lactonic facet stays the rest of the ride, but never goes over the gourmand-cliff. Fig + coconut combo is reminiscent of Philosykos, with floral elements instead of green.
In the world of niche perfumery, there are tried-and-true favorites. Indie houses each have their 1) Smoke, 2) Evergreen, 3) Incense, and 4) Floral. Fruit-forward and Aquatics, however, are never part of their vocabulary. This is where Gallagher impresses me. This house is not afraid to take chances and stand out from the crowd. Daniel Gallagher makes perfume FUN to wear. He elevates perfumery to enjoyment- stature; beyond the mere academic. Someone, please give this guy an Award!
