Description

After fragrance Shine which initiated the collection with the same name in 2011, fragrances Shine My Rose and Summer Shine were launched in 2012. The new perfume joining the Shine collection just before the summer of 2013 arrives in a pale blue flacon designed just like previous editions and offers aquatic fruit, exotic flowers and fresh aquatic accords on wood and musk.

Shine Blue arrives on the market in August 2013 with a floral-woody-musk composition, with dominant fresh aquatic notes. The composition opens with tasty water melon, cooled down with bergamot and combined with lemonish lily of the valley flowers. Aquatic fruity and green notes are enriched with exotic frangipani flowers in the heart, combined skillfully with rose flowers and accentuated aquatic accords. The base is sensual and creamy, composed of a blend of sandalwood, cedar and white musk.

Shine Blue will be available as 15, 30 and 50 ml EDT accompanied with a perfumed body care assortment (body spray 75 ml and perfumed shower gel 200 ml).

This scent makes me feel clean and full of energy plus it has one of my favourite summer notes – watermelon. This is the loveliest from the Shine line for me.

I think this is very interesting. When I smell this scent on my skin it reminds me of Davidoff’s Cool Water, wich its my very favorite. But….when I look at the top notes of both scents there is nothing, except the melon (although there are 2 different kind of melon) in common. When I look at the middle notes, they have only the rose in common. And at last, the base notes, the both do have musk and sandel in common. But from the very beginning it’s just like Cool Water. How is this possible? Good scent though, nice bottle.

This is one of my favorites. This is a clean water scent, and for an aquatic, has great longevity. There is a little bit of watery, but not sweet watermelon. This is aquatic, not fruity, just the way I like it.
I like to wear this before I go to bed. It’s relaxing, and the blue color reminds me of a blue bedroom, for some reason.
When my bottle is empty,I will repurchase.

Tested this today and intially thought that it reminds me of something. And then it dawned on me – Shine Blue to me smells like my skin after being a day at the beach! The combination of sunkissed skin, saltwater and lotion. And while this might sound strange it’s really nice!

I do not usually like aquatic fragrances(I prefer warm, rich scents with a soft, powdery finish to fruity fragrances), but when my wedding day was approaching during a heat wave, I began to look for something lighter than usual (not a “beach perfume” though). The bottle (with an irresistibly attractive shade of blue) caught my eye and even if I had to reapply it several times after the first few spritzs due to weak longevity, it turned out to be a good choice on a hot summer day – fresh, gentle, feminine, like a delicately scented breeze.(Its small bottle also fitted in my clutch, which was another consideration.) Although I have my favourites, I was determined to wear something new (and something blue – as a bride 🙂 ) so that the smell I had never worn before could bring back the memories of that precious day. Everytime I take a sniff of Shine Blue, I can immediately recall my wedding experiences & emotions, which are now exclusively associated with this smell for me.

Out of all Heidi Klume collection this one is probably the most interesting and unless previous scents the most natural, while the other seemed too synthetic.
The opening is sweet and watery, well balanced to me. A lot of watermelon, water freshness and just a tiny bit of lilly – barely noticeable.
I can’t really sniff any rose, and the musk and cedar are not present too.
If I had to describe Shine Blue in a few words I would definitely go for: watery watermelon with floral company.
It’s not the scent that would ever draw my attention. It’s too ordinary, too average. Nothing truly special about it, but I don’t expect much from celebrity scents.
For those who are looking (for celebrity scents) there are many celebrity scents way better than Heidi Klum’s though, so I don’t see any sense in buying this one.
The bottle looks nice with the blue liquid though.
But again, someone’s done it before (Beyonce’s Pulse).
    To sum up:
    – average, ordinary scent (no depth, no quality)
    – nice looking bottle

Extremely aquatic. If you like Davidoffs Cool Water, maybe this is for you. To me it’s just as all the other Shine variations simply a bad drugstore scent.

I have only seen Shine..Never saw Summer Shine or Shine my Rose

I would love to find a fresh, aquatic watermelon scent that actually works with my chemistry and doesn’t smell like over ripe fruit on me or sugary sweet like a Jolly Rancher candy. The notes in this fragrance look very promising – looking forward to trying it.

I am attracted to the blue tint of the perfume. Although Heidi bores me quite a bit, I will overlook that and hope this is a breezy, summer time splash.
