I bought a boxed bottle of this, the full EDP spray 1.2 ounce by Prince Matchabelli. Bottom of box dated 2008. Sillage and staying power are good. Smells sweet with vanilla and gentle earthy amber, like a lighter version of Queen by Queen Latifah for women. I think Queen may be discontinued. Sexiest Musk isn’t easy to find either. It does smell more expensive than it really is. Might depend on what batch you get. This one is nice, non-offensive and does not bring “musk” to mind. I’m a musk fan, so I don’t mean that as a plus or minus. It just isn’t very “musk-like.” I think this one is worth having, especially if you like Queen.

I just purchased this online to reminisce. I loved this when I was a teenager. It is not exactly the same now, but still similar. However, all these years later I will say this smells just like Armani Code for Men (which I love, and do find somewhat feminine). I’ve thought about buying Armani Code for Men for myself, but I have the women’s already and just couldn’t justify it (men’s code is a very simple composition, compared to the women’s). Now I have a very inexpensive fragrance that smells just like it. Score!!!

For a feminine perfume I find this very masculine.
Overpowering smell of cologne and unwashed musky skin. There is something about this combination that comes off very hot and sexual. Reminds me of an old boyfriend, the foreplay left me begging and the sex was mind blowing. This perfume brings that all back. Mm Mm…………..
A little goes a very long way, sweet, musky, sweaty, pure sex.
but…I prefer to smell it on my man.

I really like this. It’s a warm, cozy fragrance that actually makes me think of chocolate some how (kind of weird since it’s clearly not one of the notes).
It’s also very affordable, which is always a big plus. 🙂

Wow, my nose needs to get rebooted or something because I didn’t get those additional notes that Drugstore Classics listed in her first review, the pepper and patchouli! I wish they were there but are nowhere in the bottle that I just received.
This is a pleasant scent, probably best used in layering because it just isn’t interesting enough to stand alone.

If you like this one, or even remotely want to try it, I suggest buying a bottle SOON. It appears to have been discontinued. Certainly Walmart is no longer carrying it.
I feel fortunate to have discovered this adorable, vanilla-rich musk while it was still on the shelf, waiting for serendipity and ME! 🙂

smells greats, just like the notes. A creamy sweet musk. However it lasted barely an hour on me. It may be my acidic skin that does tend to eat scents.
Kolobok13 – :
Bottle cap smelled great, smells like bug-spray on me!

I had high hopes for this one, but not sure why–the listed notes are so simple, and it is indeed a very simple fragrance. It starts out a bit lemony, but then progresses to almost a pure vanilla with only a hint of amber and virtually no musk to my nose. I had hoped for something with more depth and character, something that blended these three phenomenal notes a little better and balanced their character more. It’s almost pure vanilla to my nose, when all is said and done. The vanilla reminded me of Yves Rocher’s Vanille Noire, it was a similar sweet almost plasticky vanilla. It does last forever (12 hours), and sillage is moderate. Think I’m going to try to return this–or I’m going to put it up for swap. Nice, but a bit disapointing.

I can not believe how great this cheap fragrance smells ! I love Dior and Chanel , but this amazes me for its richness and uniqueness . This smells wonderful and expensive !

any kind of anything even remotely “peppery” will *not* work for me… i get nothing even vaguely resembling that, from this gem of a drugstore scent.
i’ve now got this fragrance in the EDP, metal can body spray, pump body spray, shower gel and lotion. this, the EDP, and the metal can body spray are the same scent (to me, of course). the pump body spray is a little different and frankly i don’t like it quite as much. the shower gel and lotion are poor imitations of the EDP – and have overtones of that “cheap lotion smell”.
this is so much like the drydown of Lush’s American Cream perfume – or the bubbles in cream soda. it’s bubbly, light, creamy, sweet and vanilla.
there’s no Jovan or scary musk here – and no high-pitched, smells-like-detergent white musk, either. personally, i think this scent is misnamed. not that it isn’t sexy – simple and clean is sexy, too! – but it’s certainly not at all what i expected from the name and glossy red packaging.
i do really, really love it, though! and since it’s pretty easy to come by, and the metal can version of the body spray and the glass bottle EDP match, it’s worth trying!

at some point i picked up the shower gel in this scent. i didn’t care for it, on myself, but my husband has been using it for the last month or so and it is really nice on him!

No doubt about it, this is an underrated gem. I’m a tad suprised to find this labeled a musk, yet I may be anosmic….
As for the opening, this is a slightly sweet but invigorating lemon drops scent. Soon Amber, Patchouli, and Vanilla mingle so beautifully that I nearly swoon – not my usual reaction to newer scents!!
Did anybody notice that this is actually an edp, not just a cologne? On top of the terrific value, it smells seriously better (on me) than most department store orientals. Please try this if you love amber / vanilla orientals with a twist! You just might fall in LOVE.

Not bad for the price…To me this smells like Aviance Night Musk.
yosic.pavel – :
I do NOT like this perfume. I thought it would be mostly amber and vanilla but what comes out is something very spicey and peppery and I hate peppery scents…however this is just my opinion of course : )
Helga2011 – :
A sweet soft musk. Like another reviewer, I also heard it was similar to the original Guess, but sadly, on my skin, I found no similarity. To me this smells much sweeter than the musks of the past. I think the amber and vanilla adds a different quality compared to the pure animalistic musks of the 1970’s. This is nothing groundbreaking, but it does give a more modern spin to a typical musk, it’s dirt cheap, and it smells pretty good.

for a really cheap perfume it is nice. I picked it up today at lunch to try out at Wal-mart.
supor1 – :
I got 1.2 oz of the Eau de Parfum Spray on sale at Walmart for $9.50. It is sexy, but the tiny bit on my wrist is giving me a headache – So, a little goes a long way.
GaRik83 – :
For a cheapie, I have to say that this is pretty nice. It’s all vanilla and musk, kind of sexy, actually. It only lasted a second, but the opening slightly reminded me of Hypnotic Poison. The drydown is simple, as I mentioned before, it’s all vanilla and musk. It’s worth testing if you are vanilla or musk lover.
I saw the body spray selling for $3, can’t beat that!
fbl304Unlogrere – :
The body spray version of this was recommended to me as a fragrance that was supposed to be very much like my now discontinued favorite, Guess. I just got the perfume version today. It definately makes me think of Guess. The vanilla is very prominent but not as much as in the body spray. I think I’ll try layering this over some myrrh oil to sex it up just a little more. It may be considered lower end but its a very sexy, musky scent and will stay in my collection permanently.
scooter_tyumen – :
It smells better in the bottle than on my skin. I find many scents will smell divine in the bottle cap that I sniff but put it on my skin and its lethal! This is one of them for me. I prefer the more expensive perfumes if im going to spend my money on something anyway. The only one that I really still love to have is Wind Song by Prince Matchabelli.
