It opens with a smell… I don’t know what this smell is. I have no reference point to anything on earth so I will try my best starting with how it makes me feel and what comes into my mind first. It’s cold, modern, sterile, expensively strange. Is this Mango blossom? Deanna Troi on planet Betazed should be wearing this, a soliflore for outer space! :)Then it warms into something more familiar and approachable but keeps it’s refinement. Pepper blooms across the fragrance and then yellow powdery softness and sweet white creaminess from the tiare. The mango blossom recedes into the background but blended with all the rest of these notes changes into something truly unique and wonderful. The musk is subtle and fresh and an hour in the frag smells ebullient and warm, like fancy soap and oddness. Just kidding, at this stage it smells more conventional, but not boring. I could see someone wearing this with a summer dress, work attire or in a white blouse and jeans. A real class act. I’m so glad I took a chance on a blind buy with this! There is nothing like this in my collection and I have never smelled anything similar to this before. I haven’t decided yet if this is a like or a love. Truly a special fragrance! 🙂

LOVE!!!! I am always in search of great perfumes for my hot, humid climate. This one is fabulous. Mimosa and mango blossoms all the way. To wear while sipping fruity cocktails on a balcony overlooking the beach. Pure class.
Edit: a man could wear this, too.

Serpentine Silver is a surprisingly ‘yellow’ fragrance and is based on the aromas of soft petals and transparent musk.
I find the opening of Sepentine Silver very fresh and like a mix of sunny and aquatic notes.
It dries down nicely with prominent mimosa, tiaré and a soft base of transparent musk and warm sandalwood.
I fully agree with my fellow reviewers:
Serpentine Silver feels definitely mildly aquatic, yet it is yellow, sunny but very airy and fresh at the same time, like a fresh sea breeze on a tropical beach in summer.
The sillage is average, Serpentine Silver does not project far but the lasting power is excellent; it lasted 12+ hours on my skin.
@gesch, thanks for providing the info on the notes.

Where can I buy it? Can’t find Serpentine Silver anywhere. 🙁 Help me out guys. I wanna have this RC fragrance badly! If somebody knows a reliable retailer website let me know by writing a PM (private message) or post comment here please. I’d really appreciate it!

Lovely! It is indeed much lighter than the original version, and it’s so classy and sophisticated! Whenever I smell it, I’m thinking of red lips and black evening dresses. Wouldn’t wear it in summer though.

For edit:
Top note: Mango blossom
Heart: black Pepper, Mimosa and Tiare-Blossom.
Base: white musk and Sandelwood.
(found at Douglas website)
It is so light – a floral aquatic I think: nicely toned down spices and just lovely light and sparkling flowers(didn’t know it’s mango blossom;) The base is just a hint of powder. Another good quality: for an EdT excellent staying power!

Serpentine Silver is floral aquatic, transparent, italian, modern. Top notes revealed luminous citrus, not harsh, not strong, but pleasant and similar to many other perfumes with bergamot/ mandarin/ citrus start. Very fast flowers took the dominancy over note composition, making Silver romantic, slightly sweet and powdery scent. Having spring already here, and summer galloping towards us, this can be choice if you’re into casual modern perfumes. Advantages of Silver is that is rather unknown; drawbacks are weak staying power and common layout.

Mhhh… just tried it today and I think it will go good for summer, though it is not a young scent

Absolutely different from the main one, I can see just nothing in common: light, fresh, airy. When the consultant in the shop offered it as a perfume similar to Natsumi (my ex-fav), my first reaction was: you must be joking. Indeed they are similar.I wouldn’t mind using it for summer casual.
