Description

New pillar fragrance from Jean Paul Gaultier is launched in June 2017 in collaboration with PUIG and named SCANDAL.

Scandal is designed to break all clichés, offering something new and modern, and at the same time powerful and elegant. The key notes of the composition are blood orange, honey, patchouli and gardenia, which united share a creamy, earthy and balsamic gourmet effect, with warm, deep, woody undertones.

The bottle of the new fragrance SCANDAL is made of transparent glass while the stopper is designed in the sculptural form of female legs in a golden color.

This is the first fragrance of Jean Paul Gaultier launched with Puig company. The brand stated that they wanted to offer a different version of previous fragrances from the Jean Paul Gaultier collection respecting the well-known DNA of the brand and “to stop the fever of limited editions.” The goal is to create something more spicy, festive, sexy and fun, from the bottle to the campaign.

The advertising campaign was created as a mix of sex and politics. “We decided to tell the life of ‘Madame La Ministre.’ She’s a government minister who goes partying at night in Paris’ Pigalle neighborhood and makes her way directly into the office for her day job. The advertising face is model Vanessa Axente, leaving a club in a form-fitting black number. In her waiting car, filled with friends, she’s literally cut out of the outfit as her car speeds through the streets of Paris toward the Élysée Palace, where she steps out elegantly in a tailored outfit to join colleagues,” explains Jose Manuel Albesa, chief brand officer of Puig.

Scandal is available in 30 ml Eau de Parfum; 50ml Eau de Parfum and 80 ml Eau de Parfum. In addition to the Eau de Parfum, the collection also includes perfumed body care products: a Shower Gel of 200ml and a Body Lotion of 200ml.

Scandal was created by Daphne Bugey, Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud.

I have no idea why this magnificent perfume has many dislikes. Honey heaven, its so sexy and intriguing. I tested it the other day, I walked into a cafe and the cashier immediately went ”oh my god is this you? please tell me what it is” The fact that is long lasting is extra bonus. I think my hub will love it, for gourmand lovers is a must and for the upcoming winter I can’t wait to sit in front of the fireplace with a coco and a good movie. Yum!

Much as I love the wit shown by Gaultier bottles, the perfumes have been a disappointment to me, because they’re not that original in themselves and they seem to have a skin life of about half an hour. Until now!
Scandal is honey with a little bit of wood and patchouli to cut the sweetness, so it’s still a perfume rather than a waffle dessert. Everybody loves Scandal, unless you put too much on, but even then they forgive you, and its mid to base notes last a long long time.
Most successful honey perfume I have ever tried, probably going to buy some for Christmas.

Honey sweet, sure, but also very peppery.

A very, very, sweet honey blast to start off with. Almost overpoweringly sweet to the point of being cloying, and I just spritzed a tiny amount on the back of my hand from a sample vial. After twenty minutes it begins to mellow down to an earthy licorice, with a mildly sweet dark caramel lingering in the background. It’s much deeper at this point, less sweet, and almost going towards the masculine. I like this stage more than the initial blast. The initial blast was far too sweet and strong for me personally and, overall, I’d probably prefer to smell this scent on someone else, as long as they spritzed it lightly. It’s definitely an attractive scent, and an interesting one. It could be seductive on the right woman. I’d say it could be worn all year round, though it’s best suited to night time.

Smelled yesterday on a fine and kind lady. The scent is very good and intriguing. A cross between olympea and hypnotic poison. A real treat!

A sweet seductive scent. Its so warming in winter, like a very caring & well put together lady. Men love this scent and you will get compliments. and yeah, its a honey bomb but in the best way possible 🙂

This scent is very complex and interesting, but in a subtle and intimate way; if you smell it once or from far away it’s honey and patchouli, not very intense. But up close the beeswax note explodes on my skin and I think it adds something very different to this scent.
I alternate between this and Black Opium as my main scents, Black Opium is like a black sequin mini dress and this one is like a nude or light pink Helmut Lang outfit, daring in a subtle way.

By reading all these reviews, I can only conclude that it´s really impossible to trust them.
How can you people say that Scandal reminds of LVEB, Flowerbomb, Girl of Now, Black Opium, Poison Girl, Angel (for the love of God!!?) and other ones that I´ve read here????
I know that each person has its own perception, but my goodness!! I consider kind of offensive comparing this beautiful fragrance to so many others (totally different from each other and totally different from Scandal itself).
The only similarity is: they are sweet. That´s all.

why all that long dislike line? I feel like people who dislike this did not give it a proper chance to test. this is boudoir for out times “mondain” women. it has something smelling like women skin but in a loud way. I do appreciate this scent for it’s take.

I wish the very first notes when you spray this remained throughout its duration.Alas less than a minute later one note overpowers everything else.Beeswax, beeswax and then some beeswax. This creates a weird feeling making you wonder if you like or hate this perfume. It is quite heavy and one dimensional and in the end I can’t suffer it.It is a pity though, since it is long lasting and projects well.

I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. It’s a nice smell,. Nothing really naughty about it. It has good silage and you can amp it up using the body cream. Sweet but the patchouli stops it being to saccharine. A keeper for me.

Okay, so full disclosure I am a LVEB and Flowerbomb lover. I love sweet semi-gourmand candyish scents. I also love honey as a fragrance note, so I had to try this out.
I can say for certain this does not smell like the above listed perfumes. I love all of them, but the only similarity is that this is very sugary sweet. The key to using these fragrances is to use them sparingly on cooler days. If you stick your nose in it, it will be overbearing and sharp, but since I sprayed a little on the back of my neck, I kept getting the occasional sweet and golden honey waft. I mostly smell honey, beeswax, patchouli and gardenia. I didn’t really get any fruitiness or blood orange. I wouldn’t mind less gardenia, so I may have to try Scandal by night. Gardenia is not my favourite but since I love the caramelly sweet honey so much I can tolerate it. This is definitely not for everyone, as it does have that animalic beeswax smell that can be a bit skanky (perhaps why it’s called Scandal?) If they upped the blood orange and lowered the gardenia, this would be perfect.

Oh wow…On my skin, Scandal smells SOOO similar, much much closer to Lancôme LVEB EDP than Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb EDP (all three of them have strong patchouli).
From the opening, I got bee wax more than honey actually. Honey in this one is absolutely unlike the “floral” honey in KKW Pure Honey and Elie Saab Le Parfum (which I really adore both of them). It got mixed in with also strong licorice and orange blossom to become less sweet than I was prepared for. The main sweetness in Scandal is not like candy/sugar sweetness at all. It is almost like the “sweetness” of tonka bean/patchouli/licorice (sweet AND “spicy” at the same time), probably also because the caramel note is rather tamed in the back. The 4 notes that stood out the most on my skin are patchouli, licorice, bee wax and orange blossom. Honey, caramel and orange came out a little later and were much softer compared to those 4 above. I barely detected any grapefruit at all, as well as other white floral and peach notes. Sillage and longevity are the bomb and going strong for hours. Two sprays are more than enough to last almost all day long for me with a beautiful, smooth and well blended trail of scents when completely dries, as it is a little “gentler” and more “refined” than LVEB…, and still carries Jean Paul Gaultier’s style in perfume. Scandal is a solidly strong, bold, vivid, confident and characteristic fragrance for women.
I can surely say this: Scandal is NOT an office safe/close space or “friendly” fragrance at all. You WILL offend people who are sensitive to strong smells or who don’t like “sweet” scents like LVEB or Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb…But for whom that love those two frags like I do, you may enjoy Scandal.
I’m not a fan of Jean Paul Gaultier “Classique” line at all, but I LOVE Scandal and probably will get Scandal By Night too 🙂

I love sweet perfumes, but there’s something off about Scandal. I finally smelled it at Heathrow after waiting endlessly in the US for it, man what a letdown. The honey-sweetness is a barfy combination with whatever that kind of patchouli is, and the white flowers are making it worse. The result is more BO or summer trash and less LVEB or Mon Paris (both sweet-patch scents that I like). The Night version is even worse.

As a huge Gaultier fan i had high hopes on this but its a big big disapointement.
1)Bottle is exact copy of the vintage parfum head over heels from revlon. C’mon Gaultier? No more own ideas, really?
    2) Scent is soooo bland. I can t detect any other than a faint boring overlay sweet honeypot smell for maybe 4 h and its vanished completaly – no projection at all on me. Sorry gaultier this is a totally thumb down from me.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

honey, honeycomb, orange blossom, patchouli, jasmine, gardenia; love love love love, mostly about the honey, not like Classique until the drydown as the honey tempers.

  17. :

I agree with terezz’s below me, saying this is a ‘fun fragrance!”..indeed, it is!! At first blast, this sort of reminds me of a Juicy Couture flanker, then as this settles, also sort of reminds me of Donna Karan’s Nectar Love. I know this is voted as mainly a Winter & Fall scent, but I would wear this even in the Spring & Summer, it is just a fun fragrance. The strongest notes for me are the honey and beeswax, the caramel, and a little patchouli. White floral and citrus are very tame here for me…I don’t pick up the licorice note at all. This is a sweet one, but not headache-inducing, at least not for me.
Moderate sillage, but I only spray 2 or 3 sprays. More sprays may make this more potent smelling, but 2 or 3 spritzes I feel is enough for me. Lasts all day, so this has excellent longevity.

  18. :

WOW! Scandal is such a fun fragrance, i’m in love! It mostly smells like warm honey, caramel and blood orange. The patchouli is in the background but doesn’t take over. I’ve received many compliments while wearing this and the longevity is a beast! I really have nothing negative to say. It’s among my top 5 fav fragrances at the moment.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

    It’s fantastic.
Very strong and long lasting but surprisingly doesn’t give me headache.
On my skin it’s a honey and patchouli bomb which I absolutely love .
I also get orange blossom and gardenia with a bit of sugar/ caramel.
Blood orange note is non existent on my skin .
Reminds me a little bit of Girl of Now after couple of hours which I also like .
Perfect for autumn and winter one of my favourites recently.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

When I first spray it on, it’s strong in a kind of bitter way, which is annoying because I just want to be in sweet honey heaven. But after a while the bitterness is gone. I agree with everybody saying it reminds of Poison girl and Poison girl unexpected, but only in the drydown.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

I love this fragrance and I also adore the bottle! I do not really get the fruity notes but I smell the honey (which reminds me of Angel) and I also smell salt.. it might be just my nose. The longevity is impressive! I also receive a lot of compliments and from all the recently launched perfumes this one seems to be my favorite.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

So I got a small travel sized bottle because I’ve really been wanting to try it for a long time. I have two JPG #fragrances already and always looking to expand the #collection. I was excited about the peach and honey in this. But, with a name like Scandal, I was expecting something a bit darker and, well…scandalous. This is more like a persistent office rumor to me. :p It’s powdery-honey-floral on me. It’s nice, but it doesn’t make me go “HOT DAMN!” which is my general baseline for perfumes.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Today I made the huge mistake of overspraying this baby on my neck (ohh the poor people in the subway) and for the first hour, I would say, the scent of honey was drilling up my nose. And I love honey, believe me…but this was too much even for me. Now when I say overspray I mean two ✌ sprays, two. So go with a light hand with Scandal, especially in hot humid weather :/.
On the plus side this is a longevity monster. It’s been ten hours now and it’s still going strong.
Unfortunately for me I can’t seem to detect gardenia, patchouli or the orange in this. I think my favorite part of this fragrance is the dry-down in which beeswax gently calms down the honey and makes Scandal into a more calm and balanced scent.
Nonetheless, this is a big like for me and I will continue experimenting with it in cooler weather.

As usually, I bought this based on your reviews without test it before, because I wanted a honey perfume… and it is perfect! Is sweet but not too much, I smell honey, honey and honey! I love it thank you for the perfect description of this perfume, it is gorgeous

  26. :

I got it for my birthday as I’d loved the scent at Douglas’ when I’d been advertised widely. If only I’d checked what the fragrance was like on my skin… It’s honey only on me and I never received any complement while wearing it. It’s not sickly sweet or anything like that but too much sharp honey smell to my nose. I recommend to everyone to check their chemistry with any perfumes you smell either in the air or on somebody else.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

The honey dominates this fragrance but it smells really acrid on me. Even after an hour, this is so wrong – no softening of the off smell.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

This fragrance gives me life . The joy of life . Elegant, sweet Allrounder …..day to night . Definetly signature worthy for its lasting power. Pleasant not over powering but strong . It’s a keeper!

  29. :

Jean Paul was annoyed at Kim Kardashian’s new fragrance, because of the nude body..This is a total rip-off of Head Over Heels.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet mother of sweetness, this is sweet! It’s really appealing… i just can’t have enough of it I don’t know why. It’s a honey-patchouli bomb, very feminine, slightly floral… really good. Spray just once, though. A little goes a long way with this one.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

If you love flowerbomb, LVEB, Black Opium and the like than this is a great one for you. It is definitely in the same family as those. I find it gorgeous, bold and delicious . I love the sweetness with a deep base. It feels sexy and like it’s name scandalous.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

It started out so so good! like a glittery pink vibe! But then after it sets into the skin, it gets more fresh and sharp but still good!, and a little while after the honey is overloading! a very adorable honey smell. Not my favourite but if you’re a honeylover & into sweet & warm fragrances than you may like this one!

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Nice Perfume ,it reminds me of 3 perfumes mix together
    Lets get started 🙂
First spray opens with that distinct honey, honey comb & orange blossom notes of P.R. Lady million
Then middle notes has this sweet biscuity notes of V&R flower Bomb
Dry down I’d say has a very far away resemblance of YSL black opium ….I’m guessing the patchouli
If u don’t have any of these pefumes then give this one a try 🙂

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I think Scandal is a veeery sweet fragrance but very distinctive on my skin from Poison Girl or LVEB.Its sweetness is derived from honey and beeswax but more natural and less cloying than most of very sweet perfumes. And gardenia gives a floral touch that is to die for, very feminine and less girlish. Longevity is 12 hours-plus and sillage and projection are also off the charts on my skin.
The only downside is the bottle , a blatant rip-off from Head Over Heels (Revlon).

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I honestly don’t understand people saying this smells like LVEB… I dont know where this notion that all new scents smell exactly the same COMING from.. There are so many differences in popular gourmands that people claim smell the same, they must have a very weak nose. This scent is beautiful! Got it on a test strip and did a skin test. I’d advise a light hand with this scent, but its beautiful and juicy and honeyed, gorgeous and well blended

  36. :

    5 out of 5

To me, JPG Scandal smelled very synthetic and headache inducing. Compared the fragrance to Poison Girl which is similar, I think the latter has more natural sweeter fruity floral notes and not sickly, unlike Scandal where the honey sweet notes are overwhelming. Also I find the flacon little tacky, not sophisticated as their other flacons. Smells like a dirty fragrance, something you would wear when going out clubbing.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

I tested this yesterday, it smelt very sweet, and lovely at first. It reminded me of rhubarb before I looked and found out its ingredients. Unfortunately after several hours it dried down, and smelt like sick, so I doubt I’ll purchase it. I liked it before the dry down.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

I went to a perfumery and asked for an elegant perfume. This is very similar to Black Opium which I have and love, but that is not what I think of when I say elegant.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

Im a bit confused. Had high hopes for this one. Wanted this to be really honey like scent. Starts with same notes as YSL black opium. But then luckily comes some honey along. I do like it but its too familiar with Ysl.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

A very well made honey scent, the opening is very complex for a commercial perfume! And by the way, this could easily be a serge lutens fragance. I’m surprised.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

The opening is actually quite nice with fruity orangey notes. Then the gardenia enters the stage – and it’s very prominent one. Unfortunatelly after a while almost all of it gets drowned in honey. There are moments when I can sniff beautiful caramel in the background, but it would deserve to stand out more.
I don’t think it’s well mixed scent to be honest. It’s sickly sweet and the notes are beating each other rather than working together in a sync.
    To me 5/10.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

    I like it. Sue me.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

A solid like from my side, although I understand the love-and-hate going around. Yes, this is a fragrance in line with the now popular (at least in my country) gourmands, and yes a lot of women are wearing something in this category. However, why should there not be diversity in this category? Even though gourmands is not really my thing, I personally applaud at least some variety of smells in the streets. And I must say I really like the honey-wax smell here, it is different from the candy and red fruits-patch combo of LVEB and BO. So yes, I like it (on others 😉 )

  44. :

    5 out of 5

Starts as bitter orange with powdery-sweet patchouli and honey, but it doesn’t work on me. It’s a strange combination of bitter and warm, with the sweet SWEET honey overall. It’s not sticky sweet, and the warm soft powder is comforting, but the sharp woody/bitter notes don’t meld. It’s almost like I dumped wood alcohol on my skin, coupled with that smooth honey powder warmth. The honey powder part is just lovely, but the overall mélange is LOUD as hell and won’t scrub off now matter how I tried. If I could have only the soft honey, it’d be stellar. As it is, I can’t wear it. Over to you, happy reviewers!

Scandal opens with a sweet and loud fruity notes with dominant blood orange and with a wisper of white flowers laying on top of honey. At this point,in the opening,Scandal reminds me of a seductive, passionate and playful woman getting ready for a night out.
Soon enough, white flowers with dominant gardenia comes into the game and adds a bit romantic, elegant and green floral breeze with a strong and sweet presence of honey. At this point,in the middle,Scandal reminds me of a woman in a night club who sees the man she likes.
The drydown is sweet, warm, woody, sexy, seductive and all about honey and patchouli with a hint of flowers.I can detect a soft touch of vanilla, but it’s not listed in the notes. However, could be a nice touch of candy-like and creamy caramel. The drydown reminds me of a woman having a really good time with a man she just met.

Actually I tend to love gourmand sweet scents and fruitchoulies. Patchouli and sweet notes work amazingly on my skin. However I find Scandal a bit generic, dull and not something ground-breaking. It’s not bad at all. It’s something you can grab when you aren’t sure what to wear and you are in a hurry. It’s a bit perfume-y, something that lacks character and follows the trend of nowadays sweet scents. The name of the scent doesn’t match its character. I think it lacks character. If you want to impress wear something else. But if you want a typical sweet scent that’s it. To my skin, it’s all about honey, beewax, a bit of patchouli and a small hint of florals. Better use it in winter and fall as its sweetness maybe become overwhelming in warm weather- watch out in spring as bees will attack you 😀

  47. :

    3 out of 5

    Yes, well, I love it.
I hate to admit this, because I don’t like popular and generic fragrances and I am not that much of a sweet scents lover either. Actually, I like sweet, but only if it is done right.
I am not going to be long on this. Scandal is done really good. I love honey and I am always searching for honey scents that would be really good. And this is one of the best honeys I have tried.
But, it is wild honey. I love this. And I love the fact that there is no vanilla involved.
I don’t know what exactly is supposed to be ‘sweet’ but I don’t really find this fragrance sweet. I find wild, raw honey kind of spicy, not sweet. I think it could be unisex. But maybe it behaves like this only on my skin.
For me, Scandal is wild, raw, strong, really heavy and overwhelming. It is definitely too much and I love it for this as well.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I love Scandal! Perfect name and bottle. The best honeybomb in the world.Sweet, but not generic,it’s very bold.I can see someone young wearing Scandal, since it smells youthful.Longevity is superb!

  49. :

    5 out of 5

This has ultra intense top notes. It comes on strong in the beginning and then fades out for me. I don’t get the 24 + hours with this one. It’s really good with the blood orange, white florals and honey. It goes from being juicy and sweet to seductive flowers and dripping honey. Kind of reminds me of a sunny garden in the middle of summer, but not in a light or breezy way. Though the design of Head Over Heels might be similar, the perfumes are nothing alike and this bottle is definitely more heavy/expensive feeling. I can understand that fans of that one feel this is a rip off of the design, but so many perfumes get inspiration from each other nowadays.

  50. :

I received a sample of this in a swap. I am totally thrilled to discover my instant admiration for a sweet fragrance. It is so well made: the citrus and patchouli notes give this scent a fresh green edge to keep it away from becoming overwhelmingly sweet. It’s like white flowers dipped in wild honey with a few drops of sour-bitter orange juice and peels. It almost turns a bit soapy at a certain point. Gorgeous gourmand! Bravo JPG!

  51. :

    5 out of 5

Awfully sweet, enormously heavy with an aching overwhelming longeavity that me regret trying that tester. I was looking forward to smelling the new JPG, expecting something fresh and surprising.. Reminds me a lot of Poison Girl, which isn’t a good fit for me either..

  52. :

    5 out of 5

Oh well, this is sweet sweet honey and jasmine! The only thing that concerns me is the orange blossom. I dont know if anyone experienced something similar but any perfume with orange blossom gives me major headaches. This is my first try, so far I liked it but I need to test it longer to see if it nauseates me. Very beautiful, I would like to add this to me collection:)
…and yes black opium with overloaded sweetness but i like it anyway:)

  53. :

    5 out of 5

    Uniqueness – 5/10
    Longevity – 9/10
    Sillage – 8/10
    Value for money – 9/10
    Black Opium on steroids.
    Orange jam+honey.
I would go as far as to call this monster beautiful. Overly sweet? Yes. Powerhouse? Yes. Not unique? Yes.
Despite all this, I can give you 3 solid reasons why this fragrance is a good fragrance of modern perfumery.
    1. Tasty honey instead of urine-smelling honey (as you might have experienced in L’Instant de Guerlain). I think this tasty honey smell is achieved by adding beeswax – what a wise step!
    2. KILLER longevity. On my skin – whole day from morning till night, on clothes – days.
    3. Isn’t a wannabe natural scent. I believe in Chanel approach that fragrances shouldn’t try to copy natural scents because they most often fail miserably, but create something new. Today sweet is the new fresh. Scandal is a seriously good one.
By no means blind buy safe, just test it if you enjoy sweet fragrances. You want honey? Longevity? Sillage? Scandal will deliver all of that in a cute bottle.
PS Also stains fabrics MUCH worse than Black Opium – be careful while testing this!

  54. :

    4 out of 5

The complexity here reminds me of “La Nuit Tresor Lancome”, It’s so so complex, unbearable for me!
sillage is so loud, but the longevity in general is moderate, it doesn’t last for so long between (2-3hrs).

  55. :

    4 out of 5

It smells like honey and white flowers predominately to me, it’s very feminine and pretty. I don’t think is smells like lveb at all, I’m smelling them now side by side and scandal is very floral especially on the dry down, although scandal smells like pure honey on the first spritz it’s nowhere near as gourmand as lveb which is alot sweeter to me with it’s caramel tones.

  56. :

    3 out of 5

I thought the bottle was really cool and original, until I saw a picture of “head over heels” by Ultima II, a discount fragrance that I believe has been discontinued. I sort of prefer that one – especially the purple EDP version.
edit: and I just noticed somebody already pointed out the similarity downstream..

    LOVE at first sniff!
JPG is among my favorite perfume houses and I love sweet scents and all the listed notes(except patchouli)so I expected to like scandal since first day I read about it,but it’s more than a simple like for me.as soon as I tried it,I bought a bottle(1.7oz for 80$) and it’s among my top ten favorite fragrances now
Scandal is sweet so if you don’t like sweet, modern perfumes this is not for you.while being deliciously sweet,it’s not childish by any means.it’s feminine, strong, sexy.I don’t find enough good words to describe it
If you’re looking for something unique, something totally different with any other perfume,it will disappoint you.I agree that it’s not a revolutionary perfume and I also agree that there’s some sort of lancome LVEB vibe here but they’re not dupes by any means.even someone who has once tested each of them won’t mistake these two.LVEB intense,LVEB edt and LVEB florale are all my favorites but none of them can replace this honeyed heaven of scandal for me.though I can see why some people compare it to LVEB or black opium,if I want to name a perfume which it reminds me I won’t name either of them.it reminds me poison girl more than anything else.a honeyed, syrupy version of poison girl.I love them both and see them different enough to have them both
I can easily detect honey and caramel’s syrupy sweetness here.pairing patchouli’s bitterish dryness with them is such a good idea.it’s not enough to make this bitter or dirty but is enough to give it a mature and seductive dimension and preventing it from turning to something flat and cloying sweet.and there’s a gorgeous white floral heart wrapped by honey-patchouli-caramel goodness.it’s not enough to make scandal a floral scent but is enough to give it a feminine, creamy, beautiful white floral undertone..and oh,there’s this also a hint of this orangey citrus-peachy fruit thing;not enough to make scandal a fresh, sour, zesty or overly fruity scent but is enough to add it a touch of fruity brightness.
It’s dry down is mostly honeyed florals with a touch of bitterish,Smokey bite.sooo sexy!
Right now that I’m writing this review,I have this fragrance on my wrists and neck which I had sprayed early in morning(it’s 11:30 pm now).I can see it has some gens from several popular modern perfumes;still I can’t stop sniffing myself and I can’t stop loving it.longevity is amazing as mentioned before and it leaves an easy to recognize trail as one walks.people will definitely recognize you and though I’ve used only 10-15 mils of it,two strangers have asked me to write my perfume’s name for them
About it’s packaging,it comes in JPG classique’s signature package but it’s covered by a layer of pink suede and looks very expensive.it’s way easier to open and close it comparing to classique’s.hands down it has one of greatest perfume packagings.about it’s bottle,I’ve never seen revelon’s bottle in person but just by looking at it’s picture I can see that scandal’s bottle is an exact dupe and lacks creativity but this fact doesn’t make it less lovely.it’s made off high quality glass and I even love how they wrote it’s name on bottle
    Scent:10/10
    Longevity and sillage:10/10
    Packaging and bottle:10/10
    Creativity:2/10
    Edit:
I’m starting to recognize a hint of licorice, mostly in it’s middle phase.this perfume is amazing.I’m going to need backups.it suits winter as it’s really sweet and strong, the fact that spring is in it’s way makes me sad as I can’t tolerate saying goodbye to this beauy until next fall.

I love this new perfume of the great Jean Paul Gaultier.
His perfumes can be different, you can like them more or less, but never disappoint.
Already starting with the bottle, which is beautiful and with that cap with legs up, so French, so Moulin Rouge … wonderful, this also weighs, weighs the bottle because is good crystal, and weighs the cap, It’s not cheap plastic, no. Gaultier is luxury.
I had to prove it. Just smelling it smells like honey, pure honey mixed with mandarin in turn mixed with sweet candy. The smell of peach is also very present.
This perfume is SWEET with all its letters. It’s not childish, it’s elegant … it makes you fall in love. I give it a 10. I think it’s a very, very good perfume.
If it wasn’t so expensive, I would have a bottle.
By the way, the tin that contains the bottle, that rose, the typical can of Gaultier is of pink velvet, that gives pleasure to touch it.

It’s a wonderful, sweet, modern fragrance. I very love the scent of it! It’s similar of La Vie Est Belle, but even better for me. It is a really optimistic, happy scent.

So, I swear there is nothing scandalous about Scandal.
    What a pity…
Jean Paul Gaultier and Daphne Bugey, with their precise commercial instincts, created a fusion of sugary/syrupy honey, sweet white flowers & light patchouli. And how many times have we seen a composition like this? Yes, of course, many times…
    J. P. Gaultier said that Scandal was designed to break all cliches, but there is no value added, nothing shocking/outrageous, no exceptional feeling of wearing this perfume.
I don´t wanna say the fragrance is bad, it´s easily wearable /especially in the winter/ – but I didn´t feel any extraordinary pleasure when I was wearing this perfume. Sad but true.

Scandal was the first fragrance of Jean Paul Gaultier released after the licensing of its products have passed to the hands of giant PUIG. It started a new internal strategy and also a new pillar within the line of feminine JPG fragrances. It was announced in June for France, arrived in July in other European countries and began covering the countries of Latin America and the Middle East since October.
The irreverent concept has everything to do with the image of Jean Paul Gaultier in the market. After all, he already made male models wear skirts, ignored gender barriers, praised sailors through one of the world’s best-selling fragrances and gave conic breasts to Madonna. Only few people make a scandal like him.
This time the fragrance portrays the life of Madame La Ministre, a young woman who does not give up her pleasure to the detriment of her political affairs. She likes exposure and social media. She is the type who prepares a blood orange juice in the morning and does not drink, but publishes the picture on her Instagram in the same way, just to keep up appearances.
Scandal was created by Daphné Bugey in co-creation with Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud. Daphné has already created fragrances for L’Artisan
