Are you serious!? Some fragrances cross the line when they don’t last long for outrageous prices (looking at you Ex Nihlo 352) but Sanguine is a habitual line stepper.
I have been trying this decant for a while now and I’ve tried warm weather, hot weather, cool night air, lotion underbase…everything. In a frantic effort to get something out of it, I sprayed the rest of the sample (4 sprays) onto the same spot on my wrist. I immediately came downstairs and made a cup of coffee…
And it’s gone. Seriously gone. I have $7 scented liquid hand soaps that last ten times as long as this. Nose pressed to flesh and if I concentrate I can smell it. 10 minutes.
Abusive. Taking my money and not giving me anything in return. #notmygrayson
Scent: 8/10 for the first five minutes then 0/10 after ten because it just isn’t there!
Longevity: 1/10 can’t even make it to the 30 min mark to receive a “poor” rating.
    Sillage: 0/10 none.
    Projection: 0/10 none.
Would I buy a full bottle: hell no.
Would I ask for it as a gift: hello no.
Would I give this as a gift: only as a prank.

I am trying a sample today and really like it. Very nice musk, reminds me of Costume Nationale Sheer Scent. Unfortunately, it does not last on me. It’s my first experience with Keiko Mecheri, I wonder if it’s all like that. I gave up on Jo Malone and Artisan completely because of horrible lasting power on me.

A strong and interesting citrusy musk scent. I really think though, it’s unisex, because of how strong it is.
I think it’s more suitable for mature women, I can’t imagine anyone too young wearing it.
It’s top quality product, smells luxurious and quite natural. There are better citrus fragrances, but this one is also quite fancy.

SANGUINE is a very long lasting citrus fragrance based on loads and loads of blood orange, unlike in other creations, in SANGUINE it feels very natural. It has a good silage and it actually stays on skin for most of the day.
I do have to admit that I am not a fan of SANGUINE due to the soapy quality of the scent, I simply cannot understand the need of perfume that smells like soap. SANGUINE does so, the musk is purely clean and soapy, so for the most part of the day while wearing SANGUINE I was smelling like I just took a shower and used soap containing does of fresh herbs and blood orange. It is simply not for me, but I believe it could appeal to many. I also have to admit that even though I would not want to wear this myself I would very much enjoy smelling this everywhere I go – especially in crowded areas, what’s better than being surrounded by people who smell like they just took a shower?
SANGUINE is unisex fragrance, it did not project any sweetness on me, so this could be easily worn by both sexes on many occasions. I also got a very warm vibe out of SANGUINE for the first three hours, so this is not 100% summer/spring scent.

First thoughts. This is posh! The sample comes in a thick, embossed envelope! Gold lettering! Thick, heavy sample bottle! It contains amalfi lemon, not the bog standard kind! Ooo.
Boyfriend’s comment: Smells like Matey Bubble bath.
…Will not be buying a full bottle 🙁

Love this peculiar citrus. It’s a chemically gurmand, candy-esque red orange, sweet and juicy. Was it a colour it would not be a transparent yellowy orange but a velvety, matte pink shade of coral. So peculiar I had to buy the whole bottle before runnung out of the sample vial! Love it for it’s uniqueness, but I don’t wear it too often, it’s one of those fragrances is easy to get bored about or too accustomed of.

For some reason, Keiko Mecheri SANGUINE comes off as quite grassy on my skin. I was expecting a sweeter presentation of orange, so this took me by surprise. The overall effect is still refreshing, but the genre of this perfume hits me as closer to a green than a citrus aromatic fragrance. I seem to be in the minority, however, so I don’t want to discourage others from trying this creation, and I do think that it smells nice, although it wasn’t what I thought that it was going to be.
In the opening I really do smell more grass clippings than blood orange. As the scent settles down, the green and the citrus mingle together with the musk. SANGUINE is an interesting take, not at all like the other orange-centric colognes and perfumes I’ve worn before.

I just love this one! I bought a bottle via internet and cannot wait to get it. I have decided that this will be my summer signature perfume.
I usually don’t go for citrus, but here we are talking blood orange! So not as “citrusy” as the usual citrus. It’s crisp, it’s invigorating. The dry-down is nice: musky and green. Definitely a winner for me!

At first whiff, juicy and succulent blood orange, made
me thirst for more! Next, a sugary sweetness. As it dried down I picked up a plastic vinyl smell, the orange smelled synthetic as well.
Like a Barbie doll was left to stew in Tang!
As it dried, the vinyl calmed down into more of
a fine suede, orange trailed behind ever so faintly.
Maybe it`s just my chemistry, not at all what I was
expecting.I actually like the dry-down, very interesting
and even sophisticated.I just have to get past that
Barbie phase. Stays on very well, sillage is medium.
If you prefer a more traditional orange, try,
Acqua di Parma-Arancia di Capri,or,Atelier Cologne-
    Orange Sanguine.

Lasts all day. One of those fragrances I keep coming back to. I adore the blood orange & green notes. Just makes me happy!

Crisp citruses with my favorite kind of musk in the base… it’s my perfect combination in a scent. I generally have problems with EDT’s not lasting on my skin, but this one lasts quite well as it is in EDP form.

“Sanguine” is all about blood orange – on my skin, I was not able to detect any other note!
And this blood orange even does not smell natural, it reminds me of the summer edition of your regular bathroom cleaner. Very disappointing, especially as Keiko Mecheri has created such beautiful other fragrances. If you are looking for a feminine summer scent, check out “Mulholland” or “Hanae”, if you want a more masculine appeal, you might try “Taormine”.

The perfect scent for hot summer weather, it has the perfect blend of fresh citrus, musk and green to make it refreshing without being sharp or cloying. The musk softens the citrus. The citrus brightens the musk. The petit grain refreshes. I love to decant some and put it in the refrigerator, then mist it on my neck when it’s hot. Pure Bliss!

A beautifully crafted citrus aromatic scent. It opens with refreshing citrus splash from the lemon and blood orange.
The warm down is a soft musk and hint of greenish notes. A very refreshing scent for Summer or Spring.
I would recommend this for both sexes and for day wear. Staying power is average and close to the skin.
