I really like KVD’s Saint perfume, bordering to loving it. I don’t know what the older verision was like but I like this very well enough. It’s more of light florals on me with a very light touch of sweetness added to it on the dry down. I really really like it but it doesn’t really last long unless you overspray. Sometimes it comes across to me as smelling like how some glossy fashion magazines smell like when you flip through the pages. I’m not sure why that’s so and I’m ok with it smelling that way though (oddly enough). Of crouse since the bottle is gorgeous plus since Kat is vegan (which is admirable), it’s something that adds to the reason why I want this perfume.
Sadly, I only had this bought from someone who went abroad, and I’m on a look out for a similar fragrance that’s easily available where I am. I’m still on a search.

Very forgettable fruity vanilla smell, I don’t know how the original formula was like but I don’t see the hype if it’s remotely similar to the 2009 juice

I hated it! Which is unfortunate because I was very excited about Saint coming back It was my favourite perfume! Smelling the 2017 version I was very disappointed it smells nothing like the 2009 version. I know Kat Von D wanted to make her products vegan friendly which is fine, but they took the vanilla, sweet and light smell to this harsh musky floral smell. I know she tried to replace the caramel to almond blossom but it’s just not the same. She could of just used almonds might of helped or she could of use other fruits to keep it balanced with the florals and the musk, but oh well atleast the bottle is pretty!

At first, this fragrance smells like a bunch of fruit with a bit of a fizzy undertone – I think some reviewers compared it to peach schnapps. However, once it dries down, it reeks of musk. On me, it’s a sillage monster. I wore this home from the store on one arm, with Tocca Florence on the other, and my family members all preferred the scent of the Tocca perfume.

I think this scent is very easy to like. The woman I talked to who works at a local Sephora said this is one of their most popular perfumes! Nice floral/fruity and a very light scent. And that bottle…. The bottle (and Sinner, if course) is a work of art! Looooooove it. Best bottle design I have ever seen, imo. That said though, I wouldn’t ever pay full price for this because it is just too weak for me. I like strong perfumes that will last all day.

This is the perfect Spring/Summer scent! It opens with a burst of citrus and jasmine that reminds me of eating a green apple in a beautiful garden full of jasmine. It’s not overpowering and that makes it great for hot, balmy weather. The vanilla is very faint, almost nonexistent but it’s ok without it I think. Some scents don’t need the warmth of vanilla. Crisp and fresh is just fine with me when it’s done like this.

Very generic department store female fragrance. This perfume doesn’t deserve the gorgeous work of art that is the bottle. The bottle is so stunning & unique that I debated whether I should keep it for decoration.. but I simply can’t justify the price for a glorified paperweight. I have so many perfumes & I know I will never reach for this. I don’t smell any vanilla here, mainly a generic white floral with an aquatic feel. Very disappointed & will be returning to Sephora. 🙁

Expecting to smell something heavy and cloying but this is fresh and delicate. Not alot of silage tho. Smells really good indeed. It really reminds me of VIP Playboy, without the nausea inducing part lol.

This is hands down thee most gorgeous perfume bottle that I have ever seen in my whole life. Pure art at it’s finest!

This has zero scent if anything, it smells of tap water, a ridiculous lie. I am so offended it’s a fraud.
I spent over an hour smelling this, going out of the store coming back and it had no scent unless Debenhams actually filled their tester with water.

I really enjoy this scent. The floral scent balances the sweetness surprisingly well. The musk gives it a little bit of a bite without taking away the smoothness. I do get an overall scent of vanilla which is a note along with the floral. It is a good mix. The scent also stayed for quite some time. I am very impressed and would love to get my hands on a bottle of this along with Sinner!

I sprayed this on today in store and was coming back for the full bottle within 20 minutes. It’s a fruity floral but none of the cheap smelling Britney Spears type stuff. The moment I sprayed it on this is exactly what I was expecting as the first thing to scream in your face is peach. However, like with any perfume, it will take 5-10 minutes on your skin to develop and reach its full potential. Now, I am not a fan of yellow fruit fragrances at all and always preferred red and black fruit but this fragrance is magical. The mirabelle really makes it something else. The fruit is mellowed down with gentle balsamic notes which creates a truly beautiful scent. Kind of like a creamy sweet floral. To me, it smells like a beautiful summer’s day full of fun and happiness. I have a feeling that Saint will be becoming my new everyday perfume. Also, the bottle doubles as a decoration in a gothic vintage bedroom 😉 The only problem I have with it is the poor sillage and longevity – it’s actually very mild for an EDP (I thought it was an EDT at first!).

Smells exactly like Britney Spears Circus Fantasy….I like it as I do the fantasy. If you agree then a small bottle of circus Fantasy can be bought for around £5 so the choice is yours

Saint has been one of my absolute favorite fragrances to wear since it first came out in 2009-2010. I was very disappointed when it got discontinued a few years ago. I have been savoring my last bottle for the longest time now.
I got SO excited when it was announced that Saint and Sinner were coming back, and got even more excited about the gorgeous updated bottles.
Well … They ruined it! This Saint is not AT ALL the same Saint that came out several years ago. The original Saint was a beautiful caramel vanilla fragrance blended beautifully with citrus, plum, and sandalwood. It was a gorgeous and creamy fragrance. This reformulated version just smells like peach schnapps. GROSS.
Man. My heart is broken. Why did they reformulate this? Whyyyyyyyy.

  15. :

When I first applied Saint, it was PEACH with the volume turned up to 11. In the next 30 minutes the peach was joined by plum slices, all on a base of vanilla pudding.
An hour or so later the strangest thing began to happen. I kept getting wafts of a soapy, musky, dryer sheet smell. I was wearing newly laundered clothes, so I kept grabbing and sniffing my shirt and cardigan, trying to figure out if I was smelling traces of laundry soap. (And thinking.. isn’t my laundry detergent fragrance-free?)
Then it occurred to me that this is part of Saint and none of the reviews are talking about it. The white floral and cedar part is what’s wafting up at me like soap. That and a lot of musk. But then when I try to “smell my perfume”, I get the vanilla peach smell. It’s funny because it really seems like two separate perfumes that are competing against each other.

This went on smelling like bag full of Jolly Rancher candies, which faded into a lighter fruit candy scent before vanishing. I didn’t pick up any other notes when I tested it. The scent seemed overpowering to me, but my husband couldn’t smell it while sitting right next to me, so sillage isn’t strong.
Overall seemed similar in style and quality to some of the sweeter Victoria’s Secret perfumes. Particularly the Sexy Little Things line.

  17. :

Love this so much. Reminds me of 1980s (not all the styles were horrible then only almost all) but the lovely light vanilla florals were everywhere and this is a gorgeous one

  18. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t get any strong floral notes from Saint; I do detect a bit of the jasmine and lily which is underscored by the kick of the sage, but on me the fragrance is all about the creamy milky nutty tone of almond blossom, the comfort & light sweetness of vanilla, and the gentle warmth of the caramel. There is a sense of freshness to the top of the perfume, which is fruit and musk – I get the peach, but can’t quite identify the other fruits used. There is also a powdery undertone to the sweetness at the heart of Saint, which I’m guessing comes from a quiet mix of white florals.
The undertone of milky/nutty almond blossom carries through to the base too, and the woods, musk and light hint of something green tones down the sweetness of the lingering vanilla and caramel, which adds more of a mature feel to the fragrance as it dries down. Longevity is good: I get a very respectable eight hours – it goes close to the skin after around 4 hours though, so it does seem quite ‘quiet’. A fantastic fragrance for colder weather, as it is so warm and snuggly, although the soft fruits and gentle florals make Saint a all-occasions-all-seasons fragrance.
I’ve not been able to wear Saint for years, and I’ve gotten a lot better at separating & identifying key notes in perfume, so it’s a bit like owning it for the first time; Kat herself has said that the scent notes used are the same as the original Saint, but I notice the fruits more now, so the perfume has more juicy freshness than I remembered it having.

People complained that it was discontinued and now they relaunch it and complain they don’t like it, humans are so difficult.
I personally loooove this perfume, is sweet vanilla and so uplifting, I want to eat myself lol

Very beautiful bottle. The fragrance itself is nothing unique or special. Nor does it project. It is a skin scent that smells of nothing more than green grapes to my nose. I would never pay more than £12 for this scent.
Also it smells absolutely nothing like fancy love by Jessica Simpson, fancy love is a favorite of mine. This shares absolutely no resemblance.People are assuming they are the same as they both have peach as a top note. I personally detect zero peach in this scent. It smells of sweet green grapes to me.

the bottle is stunning but like most celebrity perfumes it doesnt stay :/ and is overly sweet. overpriced for such quality…

Meh. It’s nice enough but I sprayed it on my hand at 8:30am and at 9:29am it’s totally gone. Inoffensive, pretty enough, but smells like a lot of other fragrances and with that sort of performance not worth a purchase.

I received a mini-bottle of Saint in this month’s Birchbox.
The new Saint formulation is an overly sweet concoction of fake smelling fruit. The opening reminds me of a bathroom air freshener candle. It was tough, but I hung on with it for a few hours. It’s better on the dry down, but never something I enjoy.
Fruity sweets aren’t my favorite genre, but I can recognize and enjoy when this style is beautifully crafted. Saint is one of the worst-crafted fragrances I tried this year. Even my husband, who very rarely makes a negative comment about fragrances, said it was bad.
Perhaps the juice in my bottle was damaged somehow.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

A lovely Vanilla Jasmine , but sadly sillage & longevity are very poor for me 🙁
I can spray it & spray it and it still stays weak and hardly noticeable .

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I like the sweetness of this perfume. On me I get mostly soft florals with just a hint of peach. It goes without saying that the bottle for this along with sinner are absolutely gorgeous.
Even with that said though, since it has zero longevity I can’t see myself purchasing this. Perhaps an empty or near empty bottle to look nice for my collection but the sillage is horrible, which is a shame. You’d expect more from the perfume line considering KVD’s makeup is great quality.

  26. :

too sweet, too strong. When you apply it first it smells like a pure alcohol. I bought it in the small version in a beauty box that I bought at first place for this perfume and omg what a disappointment. What an asphyxiating smell. Can get out of my nose after I smell it on my hand. It’s a cheap smell in my opinion. Absolutely not my thing.

  27. :

Smells like watermelon and florals. Like a cheap dupe of Creed Millesime Imperial. I don’t like it.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

This was a freebie from Debenhams, so no great loss that I do not like it. At 51 this is waaaay too young for me, smells like a cheap body spray….a scrubber for me. Sweet, sickly, cheap. Did I say cheap smelling.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

I was hoping I’d like this because I am in LOVE with the bottle, but after going through a sample bottle I realized it does not suit my taste. I don’t get any fruit, just a very average blended floral.
Some people say all white florals smell the same – normally I disagree, but to me this is exactly that “generic white floral perfume”. One saving grace – after a few hours, a soft caramel drydown appeared. It was nice, but not worth wading through a bland floral.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

This is a pretty ok peach scent. It’s green but still kind of sweet (not as sweet as I’d like though). I’d recommend this if you want a peach scent that smells a little less watery than Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone, but also a little less realistic. The drydown is actually pretty similar to that of Nectarine Blossom and Honey. It doesn’t have much lasting power at all.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

in my opinion, neither Saint or Sinner are too original.
Both have plum as primary note, one with black plum and the other with yellow plum.
I used to have a mirabelle plum tree, I remember how wonderful they smell and taste, nothing like the other varieties.
This doesn’t smell like mirabelles, not even in this synthetic imitation.
Sinner is vanilla and cinnamon, Saint is floral and musky.
    Not worth it.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Beautiful & sexy, are we sure this should be named Saint? I got samples of this & Sinner, and I like this the one best between the two. I don’t get the fruit notes, or maybe they are just so well blended with the other notes I cannot detect them, but I get a rich musky vanilla almond mix that is as sensual as it is delectable. Silage and longevity are very good, 6 hours on my skin. The bottles are a work of art. Definitely on my want list.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Saint starts off smelling like peach and honeydew melon in some kind of extremely sweet gum form. As it dries you get more of a fruity soft pretty floral, like peach blossoms drifting through the air.
The fragrance doesn’t hold up to a hill of beans though, it is extremely light and disappears quickly. It reminds me a bit of CSP vanille apricot, but with a lot less vanilla. I’m surprised to see vanilla voted as the main note, I find it more fruity/floral than vanilla-y.
I like this one a little bit, but am not interested in buying it. I do like it better than sinner.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Surprisingly lovely! This is what a lot of celebrity perfumes aspire to be like. It’s fun. Sweet vanilla fruit that isn’t cloying, with some flowers and musk to round it out. I really like it. Having said that, it is not inventive at all and decidedly safe for KVD. Your mileage may vary.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

It is a very pleasant sweet vanilla-y fragrance, but don’t expect great sillage or longevity. You will be the only one able to smell it on your skin after an hour.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

To me this is a powdery, musky vanilla. I don’t get much of the fruit notes that others do, and hardly any sweetness. To be honest, I don’t get much of anything. The sillage and longevity of this is very minimal. On me, it’s pretty much gone in an hour or less. You could get the same effect from a body spray.
The bottle is absolutely gorgeous, but the fragrance itself is definitely nothing to get excited about.

  37. :

I’ve always loved Kat Von D’s make up but when I came across the two Sinner and Saint fragrances I was surprised tried them both at Sephora and I’m in love with Saint! The bottles are awesome very pretty and goes great with her personality I love that she puts a lot of who she is into her products absolutely a must on my fragrance list

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Before the re launch of this fragrance I always preferred Saint over Sinner and that seems to be the consensus but I prefer the dry down of Sinner. The top notes are clary sage and Mirabelle, heart notes are jasmine, almond blossom and lily-of-the-valley and the base notes are vanilla, cedar, peach and musk. This is very simplistic, universal floral fragrance sure to appease many. I don’t typically wear floral fragrances because they all smell the same to me, I like fragrance that isn’t deriguer, I don’t want to smell like everyone else. This EDP sells for $88 CAD but to me it smells like a cheap celebrity fragrance in luxe packaging, but this is a business model that works for a lot of fragrance houses – sell something that feels luxe but make the juice cheap. I would say the sillage is mild to moderate but for an EDP it doesn’t last long on the skin. Kat Von D played it safe with Saint I and again with the re-launch, it would have been nice if she changed things up a bit, like an ode to the former fragrance but made it more relevant. If you are looking for a powdery floral and don’t’ want to break the bank then this is for you. This was sent to me for review.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

The bottle is stunning, very pretty, a great design. But for me, the fragrance is one that feels done to death. I feel like Kat Von D played it very safe with this. A very average, inoffensive fragrance. I pick up mainly the white floral; the white floral totally dominates this for me. A wee bit of musk and almond, and the other notes I do not detect. But to me, this smells like so many others out there, and as a few other reviewers have noted, this does not last very long.
But to me, this is much like so many other frag’s out there with better longevity, like Mariah Carey Dreams, Dior Hypnotic Poison, a couple Escada frag’s, even Liz Taylor’s White Diamonds and La Vie Est Belle seem very similar. This just feels like a fragrance that has been done to death. Kind of disappointed, KVD seems to typically put out more unique, well-performing stuff.
The bottle might be cool for a collector’s item, or just if you dig the design, but the fragrance is very average with not great longevity. This has about the longevity of a body spray.

I smelled this along with Sinner at Sephora over the weekend. I really liked it so I decided to purchase the small travel size (it’s actually a spray-which is nice) for $22.00. It’s a lovely smell but upon getting it home and actually wearing it I find the Sillage to be VERY soft- almost like I’m not wearing anything at all. The Longevity is also very poor- under an hour before I feel the need to reapply. That being said this is EXTREMELY similar to the original Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier. So if you like that one you will like Saint and visa versa.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

I am a woman who really does not enjoy sweet scents. Saint has become the exception. It is not overly sweet or vanilla-y, more so a sweet floral like a honeysuckle. This perfume is a beautifully elegant fragrance that I can see many women liking. I was shocked to read Hat the scent did not last long on others, as it is probably the longest-lasting perfume on my skin. I actually have to be quite careful not to apply too much as it can become strong quite quickly.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Saint is a lovely, only slightly sweet, gourmand fragrance. It’s lovely, but generic. It stays extremely close to the skin and has an exceedingly poor longevity of less than an hour.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I’m usually wary of sweet fragrances, as my skin tend to make things EXTRA sweet. However, this fragrance surprised me! Despite the gourmand notes, this is actually very pleasant. Now, it is sweet, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not toothache sweet. I got a lot of peach for the first few hours, then in the end of the drydown the mirabelle really came out, which was beautiful! My only complaint is that the opening is pretty…standard. I don’t feel like this is terribly unique until the very end when the smell is so faint that I have to put my wrist to my nose to smell it.
It’s a good fragrance. I like it. But it’s very safe, which isn’t what I’ve come to expect from Kat Von D. However, I feel like this would make an exquisite gift for gourmand lovers. The bottle is stunning!

  44. :

    3 out of 5

This perfume is not very sweet on me. It’s kind of aquatic and floral fresh. I am more of a gourmand girl and like my sweet fragrances, and this is not sweet compared to my usual choices. I don’t get any fruit in this. I kind of like it, but don’t know if I would buy a bottle, probably would not use it that much.
I wish I got the sweetness that other people are getting,
Also, this disappears on me very fast.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

I saw a display of Saint and Sinner at Sephora and sprayed myself with Saint after deciding it was the more promising of the two. I liked it a lot. I’d have to wear a few more times to really form an opinion, but my impression was that it was a sweet cloud – with just a hint of floral. A little like pink sugar to me, but with more floral and less caramel. My husband couldn’t make up his mind (“You have so many perfumes, I feel like I get them confused”) but his one word was SWEET. I thought it did have really good projection and probably lasted about five hours or so on me.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

I had to return this. It’s a screechy, cheap smelling floral. If I could get some of the sweetness some people smell it may have been more tolerable. But. Unfortunately it made me gag. Reminded me of cheapie perfumes my mom bought me when I was a little girl.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

This is quite nice. I agree that it’s sweet but it’s the fruity kind–which I like better than a sweet praline or cotton candy. It does kind of smell like Taylor by Taylor Swift, but less powdery and more like cherry-plum like. I am kind of sad that it doesn’t last longer. The dry down is pretty short and it fades way too quickly.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I was very surprised to sample this perfume. To me, all I got was straight up candy sweetness…like smelling a lollipop. I smell anything resembling floral, just straight up sweetness. Its not for me, but if you enjoy very sweet scents you might like this

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I remember smelling this when it was first released and loving it. I regretted never buying a bottle for years. I just received a sample of the 2017 version from Sephora, and even though it doesn’t smell like the original (it is less vanilla and musky), I think it’s a GORGEOUS floral fruity perfume. It reminds me of something, but I can’t put my finger on what. I will definitely be buying a full bottle because I love it and my husband said I smell so good!! Give this a try, but don’t expect it to smell like the original.

  50. :

    5 out of 5

I do not know the original formulation, but I find this one to be delightful. At first spray, I thought it was going to be similar to Daisy, a light, cheerful grassy floral, but then it warms into a creamy white floral with hints of something sweet and delicious. Like sitting on the porch with flowers and cut grass around you, and the smell of a dessert baking from the kitchen window. I will definitely be buying a bottle.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

I’m sorry original Saint lovers, but this is not at all close to the original. I have both and I’m smelling them side-by-side and allowed for drydown. Maybe with some wishful thinking you can make out a tiny bit of the original in the drydown but it’s very light. It’s been turned into a high pitched generic floral with lots of almond blossom and very light vanilla and fruit. It’s pretty much the complete reverse of the original which starts out a loud gourmand blast of buttery caramel and vanilla and then settles down to a warm buttery fruity scent with a hint of florals. It’s a shame because the bottle is really neat.

  52. :

    5 out of 5

I’ve owned this for 8 hours and it has been an emotional ride.
I don’t know of a bigger fan of Saint (2007) than I. I’m sure someone out there exists that outcrazies me when it comes to the original KVD Saint perfume but I haven’t met them yet. It was my favorite fragrance and then I was forced to move on when it was discontinued. Now Fracas is my #1. That being said – I know my shit when it comes to the notes in the original perfume from first spray to dry-down. Now that I’m done tooting my own horn I’ll fill you in on the 2017 version.
At first I was furious – the initial spray and the first 15-20 minutes are nothing like the original. I might as well have picked up some generic floral at the local Estee Lauder counter. I even said something along the lines of “KVD owes Saint fans an apology!” I was getting kind of nutty about it. I mean, the hype around bringing this back was based on the fact that it was A: adored by legions of fans and B: the SAME fragrance.
Then I let it dry down and it’s been on me for about 6 hours and the original scent is really coming out. You just don’t get that burst of gourmand out of the gate like you did in the original – you have to wait for it. Then the spicey, caramel, almond vanilla comes out with some musk. So – is it 100% the exact same? No – but that’s what I expected and even with it being about 97% the same after dry-down – I’m not disappointed and I’m keeping it. Happy to have my old Saint back. For the most part.
Other important notes: As a vegan I think it’s incredibly important what KVD is doing for her line. I’d gladly give up the sins of Saint if it means vegan awareness is being spread and it isn’t contributing to animal suffering.
Bottle is great and the spray nozzle seems like really good quality. Love the fine mist.

I purchased this hoping it would be the original Saint in a new and improved bottle. Sadly, I was wrong. All this gave me was a slightly fruity-floral sweet blast at the beginning. Once it settled, I could smell a hint of that original Saint in there- the caramel-vanilla goodness. That was fleeting. On my skin the heart morphed into white floral land in a screechy way. The florals ended up giving me a headache. In the very later stages once the base notes hit (6-8 hours later), I could smell whiffs of that vanilla-caramel Saint but ever so slightly, as the heart of this perfume is very floral.
I had to return this to Sephora the same day I received it in the mail. Oh, well.

  54. :

    Sadly, this was reformulated.
I tried the original with this.
The original, which was a stunning creamy floral, was reformulated to be (in my opinion) a watermelon jolly rancher ish scent.
Im guessing the peach has something to do with it as even though its not a “watermelon”, it could give off that vibe as a jolly rancher type scent.
I wish I got the florals, but everyones chemistry is different.

I absolutely love Saint! (And I have several back up bottles hidden in a dark closet) The new bottle is STUNNING… and the notes look a bit different? Instead of caramel there is almond blossom? Well… that means I NEED this one!
OMG! The skulls on the bottle!
