I received a carded sample from Sephora. Good aquatic composition that has also very good performance, perfect for summer weather. For me this leans slightly masculine but anyone can wear it.
The scent is not that unique – I smell aldehydes, ambergris, salt and seaweed – but for an EDT it has lasting power. I wish this didn’t cost over $100, but I am contemplating a 10 ml purchase.

A nice, pleasant aquatic, which I prefer to the others I’ve had or sampled. It’s not “better” than Bvlgari Aqva or Aqva Marine but I prefer it.
Still, for the price, it’s too expensive for what it is. If I could pick up a partial bottle or one for a considerably reduced price, I’d buy it, otherwise, to me, it’s just not worth the price for a new bottle.

This is is a awesome fresh marine scent. The consultant in Sehora reccommend it to me. I sprayed it on my clothes and body, walk around the store and sniff a few more. This is about 15 minutes later, this fresh woody scent kept lingering on to my nose. I bought a bottle instantly. Smells like fresh blueberries, iris, ambergis and cedar. This is in my top 10 aquatic scents, Bvlgari Aqua, Tom ford Costa Azzura, Ferragamo Blu Essenziale, Creed Virgin island water etc.

It does smell like the sea… the sea breeze.
I agree the opening is a tad more masculine than unisex but the dry down is fresher, more unisex.
The sea breeze is so well replicated during the dry down.
This is my second favorite from the replica line after By the Fireplace (except I didn’t try Funfair Evening yet)

A review as MAN. This stuff is Intoxicatingly fresh. Moral of the story I received many compliments and on my date. The scent i get is Fresh Water, Iris, Rose, Juniper berry, and Amyl. I had to try it 3 times to appreciate. The first time I wasn’t feeling it. The second someone sprayed it in the air in the store and I ask the associate what was it, she said the name. Hmm Smells like greatness!. The 3rd time I came back to Sephora and sprayed it on my clothes and arm, waited 20 minutes and I was hooked. I went on a 90 degree hot outside date of a restaurant, we sat outside, my date name Nicole was hooked like an exclusive drug, she got blessed. Projection and lasting power is solid. Go get it

I’d call this a barbershop aquatic (I don’t know if it’s really “barbershop” per se, but it’s fresh in a very typical manly way). Maybe it’d be better/okay on a man than on me…but I still can’t imagine wanting to smell this regularly. I would never wear this myself and basically don’t like this combination of smells. Try before you buy.

I’d call this a unisex fragrance that leans masculine, mostly because we’re used to seeing oceanic scents for females interpreted as sunscreen and sand. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I do – Finally, a true aquatic that doesn’t remind me of cheap aftershave, with their weak attempts at impersonating ambergris and sea spray!
I randomly happened to sample Sailing Day about a week after I’d actually gone sailing (the randomness being that I’ve been on a sailboat about three times in my entire life), and was immediately transported back to the bow of the boat, feet dangling in the salty spray of the waves as the afternoon sun beamed across my face. I had to have a full bottle.
I’m sure plenty of the more sophisticated Fraganticans must think I’m a rube, but the Replica line can do no wrong in my eyes. This is one of the most straightforward, realistic aquatic scents I’ve come across, and I think it’d work beautifully for any gender or age. If you love the ocean, this is a must.

Fresh fresh fresh. This a fresh unique take on summer aqua scents. It’ll turn heads for the summer. I think people sleep on this one. Marine scent of the year. In My top 5

Take the scent of blue shower gel for men. Make it last for a few hours as an eau de toilette. Sell it for 130 bucks at Sephora. That’s MMM’s Sailing Day.
Ok, I am exaggerating, but only a bit. The fragrance does have a salty oceanic note without verging on darker seaweed territory, which is somewhat daring, even if it has been done before. It also lacks the thin, harsh, and abrasive qualities of some of the sport scents I’ve sniffed at TJ Maxx. Smelling it on my arm won’t sting my nostrils. But aside from that, Sailing Day smells like a typical calone dominated sporty, shower gel aquatic. I can’t really pinpoint any particular notes, and can only say it smells bright blue. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It is a very pleasant fragrance. However, I just don’t feel like it’s daring or unique enough for the price. I was actually more impressed with Nautica Voyage.
Performance is actually better than I thought. I get about 8 hours from it, give or take. With a few sprays, it projects solidly for a while. It also stayed on my necklace for a couple of weeks after I last wore it.

I tend to be a fan of citrus/floral aquatics but I can’t stand this. I thought it was promising at first but after an hour or two, the calone/seaweed combo became so conspicuous and obtrusive that I had to scrub, which didn’t even work (Props to MMM for longevity, for what it’s worth). To me, it smells too much like dish soap that’s just in your face the whole time. Sel marin is a much more refined execution of the same concept that I highly recommend to marine note lovers. I appreciate the effort to make a powerhouse aquatic, but it’s just not for me. Definitely try before you buy.

This one starts out a little pissy on my skin..I’m assuming it’s the aldehydes in the top notes. After that chills out a bit it becomes a garden variety aquatic…not bad but certainly nothing special. Better options at this price point for sure.

I sampled a test of this on a hot summer day and whilst it does carry an odor of what I wanted to remember was sea salted air one finds when on a yacht in the Atlantic it doesn’t really smell of much at all – somewhat dull and very much a skin scent but it has surprising longevity.

I like the way this smells when it radiates, but on my skin it has a slight urine vibe during the opening. Not sure which note is the culprit.

I have to be honest, I am a lover of aquatics. I feel like I am alone on this, a lot of the time. I don’t find this to be too sharp or headache inducing, but I love it’s freshness. It really blooms in the hot and humid weather.

Fresh, typical fake water smell that is created by companies such as Yankee Candle. It’s not bad. It dries down to a slightly masculine water/ambergris/cedar scent. I like it, but I don’t think it’s full-bottle worthy.

Okay, so I don’t do well in citruses. This is not at citrus, but the way that this settles with my anatomy comes off fresh crisp oceany citrus. Sailing Day is what a citrus SHOULD smell like on me, but instead is usually sour woodsy when it settles. I like this a lot, its subtle and refreshing. Definitely not a long lasting blast of flavor, but great for a beachy occasion

I like it but it’s rather weak in terms of sillage and longevity.

Aiyeeeeeeee! The suggestive blue color. The great inspiration of diving into the blue infinity. The familiar sea notes combined into an accord that perfumer’s all seem to agree is the aquatic beach scent. You’ve smelled similar in air sprays, candles, body mists for years. Unfortunately, they were done so poorly that it has ruined this basic combination, now associated with cheap beach souvenir shops and car washes.
MMM does a good job of this one. The ingredients are top quality, the construction skillful. MMM is known for making scents that recreate past experiences for us, and Sailing Day does that. It has a soapy calone heavy aroma, just like all the “beach” air fresheners we’ve all come to recognize as the consensus of what an ocean scent smells like.
However, we associate this smell with the versions of products labeled as ocean, not the real thing. The cheap and tawdry knockoffs that have soured our taste for this aquatic combination. For someone without these associations, this would be the one to imprint. Excellent construction, good sillage and longevity.

I tested this out today at Sephora for the first time and I was really pleasently surprised. What the others say is true, it is quite a linear scent, but I find it really enjoyable. A nice fresh aquatic opening that lasts a long time! Projects too! I’ll probably be purchasing this soon.

Agree for the most part with spcmiller. Initial scent is a lovely, fresh, if not fairly predictable aquatic, but oh man — I found this ridiculously Calone heavy and that lingered on my clothes for days in a very unpleasant way.

A lovely, yet predictable aquatic with a minimal degree of development over its lifespan. The story might end there, but what truly stands out about this one is the longevity.
Most (if not all) aquatics are wanting in the longevity department, and typically don’t last any longer than a Lord of the Rings movie. But Sailing Day is unique in that it lasts for a significant portion of the day. Granted, it doesn’t develop much beyond how it begins, but the length of time that it lasts is genuinely remarkable.
I have extremely high hopes come summer when I do look to my lighter scents to last longer and project well.

Interestingly enough Páros means in pairs in Hungarian. Kind of a cool coincidence about the story of two people jumping into the ocean of infinity.
