This is rose done to perfection, this is a fragrance that needs to garner more favour. I seem to be saying that a lot lately about this house. It doesn’t get talked about and it doesn’t get hyped, which I’m kinda glad, so I can horde their fragrances to myself lol
For me it opens up with a blast of rhubarb and a touch of citrus, but the rhubarb is the star. And what a star it is, just the right amount of sweetness to make it juicy and open the senses to the journey ahead. As the heart develops the rose comes to the stage. But not some skanky or medicinal rose that’s headache inducing. This rose is mellow, slightly sweet. Together with the undertones of the violet, it adds an air of sophistication. It’s classy and masculine. It lends itself to cooler weather, but totally wearable in the spring and summer on cooler days.
All this sits on a bed of light oud, oak moss and vetiver, never overpowering the other notes. They all play so well together. In fact, it’s something Charriol does well in the fragrances I have, they are blended so well and complimentary. The only note I can’t distinctively single out is the patchouli, but I’m sure it’s there.
I love this fragrance and I love this house.

A masterpiece creation by Annick Menardo. I have to say this is a royal fragrance for the gentleman that leads by example, to be worn with a sense of nobility, honor, chivalry, a trailblazer that won’t give up and fight the good fight. The best rose oud fragrance I have in my arsenal.

I just sampled Chanel Egoiste Platinum. Nearly identical. But CEP edges this out to me. CEP is fresher, better balanced, and has fuller notes. CEP has that little something that CRW was missing.

    INCREDIBLE PIECE OF ART
If you are a woody/aromatic/oriental scents lover you found one of your masculin top fragrances.
After spraying, you get a very enjoyable fresh and semi sweet opening (a strong dessert rhubarb note dominating but a citrusy joyfull grapefruit present as well), smoth development (fantastic not cloying sweet rose note dominating) and glamorous dry down (rose, oud and vetiver notes fantastic combo).
Exceptional quality in the componments are the only explanation for the joy you get from the existing notes.
    What a fantastic blending.
The performance is also fantastic with 10+ hours longevity, 6+ feet sillage and an above average projection that lasts more than 3 hours.
Let us see what the maths tell us about this intense EDT:
    Scent opening: 9.5 (my judgement)
Scent dry down: 9.5 (my judgement)
Longevity: 9.0 (above average for the existing notes)
    Sillage: 9.0 (same as longevity)
Uniqueness: 9.5 (very well designed and blended, a real masterpiece with no similar frags on the market as far as I know)
Wearability: 8.5 (Winter, Autumn, early Spring – Night and Day)
Versatility: 10.0 (a big yes to socializing, events, restaurants, and office type of situations; champion fragrance in what regards clubbing, night out, bar with friends, dates and “close encounters”; in summary – everywhere)
    Quality: 10.0 (my judgement)
Presentation: 10.0 (outstanding bottle and box; very good sprayer)
Price: 9.5 (100 ml for €26.00 + taxes; hardly could be better)
Overall rating for this fragrance: 9.45/10.00 (I really had to resist my will of rating a 10 in every feature)
    I really do recommend it.
This is my first Charriol EDT. This fragrance took 10 minutes to go from a curious blind buy to my top 10 or even top 5.
All the stages are hiper pleasant.
The opening is as triumphal as Aida’s Triumphal March and Chorus. The rhubarb does dominate with a surprising freshness and its sweetness is tamed by the more bitter grapefruit. Both notes are still present in 2nd phase opening a door tho the most magnific rose I have ever experienced (and I am not a fan of the rose note). The transition is very smoth and you can also detect the earthy presences of violet and patchouli.
This is not a strong oud cologne although you do feel its scent in the bottom notes and during the dry down. But this smoth sweet oud is there to give you a structure together with the rose and not to dominate the “global scent”. If there is ruler here, make no mistakes. It’s a queen rose, magnanim and majestic. The vetiver and the moss do have thair place in this magific scenario, helping with their bitterness and smokiness to control the reigning sweetness and keep the composition balanced.
This magnific blending let’s you also distinguish its various facets coming from the notes. You can inhale its woodiness (rose, oud, patchouli, moss and vetiver), its earthyness (violet, patchouli, moss and vetiver) and its powderyness (rose and violet).
Just turn on your computer and order one bottle ASAP!

I receive today my blind buy “Royal White Charriol” for men.
1st impression – Remarkable fragrance. Probably one of the best wearable oriental/oud fragrances I have ever tried. I have more than 20 oud fragrances and probably already tried more than 50. I also possess more than 100 Oriental Woody fragrances. I have never been so surprised in a positive way with a blind bought fragrance.
This is not really an oud fragrance tamed by rose. It’s really the opposite: a rose fragrance tamed by oud (and othe notes)
I am going to try to make a full review.
In the meantime I can assure you that this is a top designer perfume deserving to outshine many “niche” fragrances in terms of composition, quality, behaviour and presentation.
In what regards the scent… well it’s heavenly.

I purchased a bottle of perfume and a sample of this was included. At first, I dismissed it as some cheap crap because I didn’t reconise the brand. That was a huge mistake on my behalf. After just one spray I realised that this is a beautiful, complex, quality floral fragrance that melds both the best of western florals with the influences of middle eastern scents. I immediately went out and purchased the gift set the next day. Interestingly, I also received a Chritsian Dior sample of Homme Sport, and it’s amazing just how plastic and generic it smells in comparison.
Opens with a huge burst of green flowers and incense, before settling into a oud, rose and vetiver masterpiece. Old school and elegant yet intriging at the same time. Floral, leathery, sweet and sweaty. If you are a man who is looking for something different then … Sorry, I’ve gotta go and take a cold shower!

No, it’s not similar with M7
Royal White is soothing and comfy, with moderate projection it’s not trying to be a presence-maker in any way, it’s soft and fairly close to the skin from the very beginning, which also led to a eventual downside, it’s rather timid in terms of longevity – you might need to continuously respray to make others able to smell you!
Royal White offers a comfortable experience while wearing fragrance, the oud here is clean without being medicinal and with strong presence of vetiver and violet. A fragrance for someone who’s secure with no need for something screaming loudly “I WORE FRAGRANCE”. Be forewarned though, a friend wearing this and she smells like a Rose and violet with little presence of vetiver, seems that skin chemistry will play major issue in Royal White.
There’s a radiant warm notes here, I couldn’t pick it – was it the oud? it’s menthol-like and further enhance the persona of Royal White.
I would rate this 4 stars – It’s so soothing and relaxing, if Charriol make it just a bit stronger in projection I will give it a solid 5 star

I have tried it and here is what i think.
This fragrance is just about the least masculine fragrance (excluding unisex)i have ever tried.
This is too daring and i wouldnt like to believe that women want their men to smell like this.
Although, whoever wears it, i must shake hand for courage and also bright side is that it cant be very popular because of obvious reason (that i mentioned) so chances that u will meet a guy smelling this fragrance are very little. Good for u.
But I have to say, this is really good quality product and definately very different scent in today’s men fragrance market.

Oh elegant Charriol, I do wish this exotic white edition is just as good as what I have in mind.
It’s been one of my most favorite brand for accessories from jewelry and watches.
