Description

Rose Trocadéro previously known as Rose Thé (Tea rose): Mysterious, majestic and sweet at the same time.

“The sun is shining on the Trocadéro Garden – it is a blessing in Paris, even at the end of May. Behind you, the Eiffel Tower, before you, the Trocadéro Palace, looking so modern. Suddenly, a woman approaches. She is carrying a
huge bouquet of roses and heads towards the Seine with firm strides. When she brushes against you, you shiver with delight under the waves of rose so absolute that you but barely notice the trail of blackcurrant bud, lavender and musk.” – a note from the brand.

The tea rose fragrance is probably the best-known among the numerous floral perfume creations in the world.

The Eau de Parfum Rose Trocadéro (Tea rose) thus finds a place quite naturally in Le Jardin Retrouvé’s collection of original fragrances with its characteristic head-note that is green and strong and a base note reinforced by the presence of musk and slightly wood-like tones. The nose behind this fragrance is Yuri Gutsatz.

The most beautiful classic tea rose. Nothing noir about it.

A beautiful gothic antique rose augmented by cassis, delicate use of cloves and (white)musk. I enjoyed this a lot from the house, and would rate this as well as the Cuir de Russie the best of the line. If you are a rose fan, this is a must try. The rose is done with obvious artistry and experience, so its safe to say you havent smelled a rose presented in this way in modern formulations. I had a minor quibble with that sharp white musk that always seems to tear through a good composition. Good longevity and moderate sillage.

Rose Trocadéro tells the story of the garden in the Trocadéro Palace. It was built on the banks of the river Seine, in front of the Eiffel Tower and was the predecessor of the Chaillot Palace.
The fragrance of Rose Trocadéro, which is a new vision of Rose Thé (1989), symbolizes a woman carrying a beautiful bouquet of roses, while she walks towards the Seine, with firm steps, under the sun from an afternoon, back in 1935.
In the current composition, Rose Trocadéro has notes of Bulgarian rose absolute, blackcurrant, clove, lavender and musk. But nothing can overcome the smell of roses that this fragrance exudes. However, to not say that the ingredients were used in vain, I can say that there is the presence, even though subtle, of blackcurrant (with its fruity nuances) and musk, very luminous.
And although the concept of niche puts aside the idea of separation by genders (male and female), Rose Trocadéro is a perfume made for women, in my humble opinion. The scent of red roses is depicted with perfection and lightness, in a delicate and joyful way. It is not an exotic or sensual perfume of roses, but floral and diurnal.
Rose Trocadéro behaves very linear, at least on my skin. And as it has Eau de Parfum concentration, exudes very well all the time, in addition to last for more than seven hours. It’s one of those cases where the result goes together with the concept, admirably, leading you to imagine the scene of a woman walking under the sun towards the river Seine.

To me, roses symbolize childhood. Of course, roses also stand for love, passion and seduction, but in my memories, roses kind of play a different role. Maybe it is because I had grown up used to see their petals smiling in the sun, next to the window of my room, or maybe it is the image of my grandmother plucking the most beautiful ones for me to put them in my room… I do not know for sure, but I can certainly tell that the smell of roses makes me feel carefree.
In Rose Trocadero I have found the conforting smell of my happy memories. The roses from this perfume are bright pink, with dewy petals and bees flying around them. This perfume is in no way mischievous, as some rose centered perfume may be, but it is pure and joyful, like the smile of a child. I can sense just a hint of a fruity accord, but the perfume does not become childish at all. In my opinion, it suits a woman who does not forget to smile, even in the saddest days, because she knows that the people arround her need a smile in their life, even more than she does. I love how natural Rose Trocadero smells. It is one of my favourites from the line.

From the site original notes are:
Bulgarian Rose Absolute , Blackcurrant/Cassis, Clove, Musk.
    A Dark Rose.
Beguin and Blooms in the sun along with the freesia and raspberry, so I feel, but something bewitched arrives, along with black clouds which darken the rediscovered garden.
Not so unic, synthetic as hell, but it is a good scent, bit unsettling. An incense end.
    A Morticia Addams Rose.

A sharp green sticky rose scent. The alcohol is really strong at the off, very sharp and kinda nasty, mellowing a bit to rose geranium green. Not my thing, but it has the feeling of a spring rose, just starting to bloom. If you can wait out the nasty alcohol onset, it might be a good rose for those looking for a sweet tea rose fragrance. On me, not so great.
