Although sweet, the Oud is definitely part of the experience. I applied it 10:00 am on my wrists and it was still there at 10:00 pm. It stayed close to my skin and didn’t knock anyone else out. (I’m lookin at you Kilian)
It reminds me if Miss Dior Cherie EDP and a much lighter Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
I love it… Looking for more.

Rose & Oud is a nice, fruity, rose-imbued fragrance that is accessible, inexpensive, and relatively unisex. It’s a pleasant fragrance, but it lacks the depth in the oud element which remains too well beneath the surface to truly detect. For someone not seeking the sweet/medicinal notes that oud will bring, this is probably a very good option.
That said, this is a sweet yet subtle take on an EDP that lacks enough longevity to really last more than a couple of hours. The scent itself is not transforming enough to really develop beyond the strawberry leaf and rose notes. The premise isn’t very new either, since Tom Ford Private Blend Noir de Noir does the theme in a much stronger composition, at an EDP strength that seems like an EDP versus a relatively weak EDT. If you are seeking a NdN copy at a much lower price, this might be an option. Making this more complex would mean blending it with Incense & Musk or Persian Lime & Pepper.
For me, however, it lacked the complexity and longevity to make this something I’d recommend on its own. It’s simplistic, linear and needs significant bolstering.

Oh my lord! I thought this could be something a guy could wear but I was so wrong. Why? Because this is, by far, the sweetest rose/oud scent I have ever tried! I can definitely confirm that this is all about rich and sweet syrupy strawberry, acidic rose with a really quiet oud. The scent will get louder and sweeter as it stays on however, but the darn oud stays low. Use it with caution or headache will be calling.

Henri Bendel ROSE & OUD is a sweet rose composition which falls squarely within the fruity floral fragrance category. Or better yet, floral fruity, since it is more fruity than floral. I had been expecting a floriental but the oud is quite light and is overpowered by the fruitiness. Violet may be contributing to the sweetness as well.
The notes smell natural and nice, but the structure of this composition is simple and has been done many times before, albeit usually not so well and with lower quality components. ROSE & OUD is accessible and inoffensive, and relatively inexpensive without smelling cheap or synthetic. This edp is similar in some ways to TBS CASSIS ROSE–only this is much better…
ROSE & OUD is not really an oud perfume since it does not develop, and the oud is so very faint. STRAWBERRY ROSE would be a better, less misleading name for this creation, which would make a good gift for a teenager just starting a journey through the wide world of perfume. I recommend ROSE & OUD, which has good longevity and medium sillage, to fruity floral fragrance wearers.
