This is a fabulous rose scent. Irma Shorell did this one from scratch; it isn’t an imitation of anything, as far as I know. It’s a big rose fragrance straight out of the 1950’s. strangely it smells a lot like how lipsticks smelled in the 1950’s. I’m having trouble describing it and I can’t find the list of notes that came with my extra bottle. But I’d say there is some sandalwood in the base notes. It lasts on my skin at least 6 hours. It doesn’t smell like any other rose fragrance I know. It’s the sort of thing Balenciaga would have made if they’d had their wits about them.
