Description
Les Elixirs Precieux is a new luxurious collection of perfume oils from Dior, inspired by the oriental tradition of combining and layering scents. The collection consists of four “basic” perfume oils or elixirs developed by the in-house perfumer Francois Demachy: Rose, Ambre, Musc and Oud.
The collection is made of luxurious materials in high concentration, which are supposedly hand-picked by the perfumer himself. Rose contains essence of Turkish rose; Ambre contains amber of animal origin; Oud captures extract of agar wood and Musc smells both intense and soft with white musk.
These perfumes can be used independently, applying to pulse points or in combination with other exclusive Dior perfumes to create new fragrant experiences.
Rose Elixir Precieux was launched in 2014.

Dior messed up with this “exquisite creation” wannabe. This is everything but no elixir at all…A chemical rose sorbet from the beginning to the end when it transform into a cheap liqueur with a “Youth Dew” vibe. Nothing to clap your hands for and for sure a shame for this price. You can t pay hundred of euros for a nice bottle and a lie inside, sorry. NEVER buy this blind, it might be the biggest regret in your life. As a rose lover, this is something I can refuse even as a gift, sorry.

I was very excited to receive this in the mail. I have to say that the packaging is beautiful and the bottle is bigger than it looks. However, the good kind of ends there. I was really looking forward to putting this on and waking up in the morning and still smelling hints of it. The rose is definitely mixed with something else and wait for it… on me after about 15 minutes of rosy goodness, it turns into Coca Cola. Yes, Coca Cola. For $300, I refuse to smell like Coke so this is going back.

I use Amber Nuit all the time and it is my favorite perfume. I have read about the elixir and I am wondering if I can layer it with the Amber Nuit. Either Rose or Amber. If I get the rose, would it be too feminine? Is the Amber too strong?

Deep, deep, jammy, dark rose!
Although the rose is super dominant I’d almost swear there’s a hint of oud or something woody at the back of this…maybe that’s just my imagination from all the Oud/Roses I’ve sniffed.
Do not make any mistake this is the epitome of Turkish roses but not something I’d wear as it’s too rosy for this gent.
The performance and strength of this juice is truly stunning.

This is unexpectedly so beautiful. Its unlike any other. This is top grade Turkish rose in its pure extrait form. Yes, very pricey. One drop lasts all day long. a scent unlike any other that is for sure.
The most beguiling rose. The price is market price. As one tula of this in Quraishi or any other perfume house runs under about 5000aed.
It is meantioned for blending, yet alone it is truly spellbinding.
I am not a Dior fan and love this one.
