is not the classic rose scent, and it is easily portable even on a man because at some point we hear the woody notes given by the incense and ebany tree, and for the fans of the genre could be the different nuances that makes them decide to purchase it. the feeling is however that of a rose oil even if it is not suffocating. on my skin the duration is excellent but the sillage is moderate

to me this is Cafe Rose Tom Ford !!
both were launched in 2012 so I can’t tell who has cloned the other.

A leathery peppery rose which i think would be a great scent for men or those who like fragrances leaning on the masculine end.
As it settles the incense comes out more and smells very holy. The rose appears sweeter.
One of the best rose and incense combos that ive smelt. It has the same sweetness of rose that i smell in Armani’s Rose D’Arabie. The rose in Rose Gallica reminds me of Tea Rose (Perfumers workshop).
Ten minutes later the incense has reduced on my skin and the rose smells fruity. Smells more feminine now but on a man it would smell very nice.
This is reminding me of another fragrance that i’ve smelt….mind boggles badly now….erm getting a hint of Ghost by Ghost (in the light blue bottle).
This fragrance is changing since the first dab – not suitable for a full bottle blind buy!
I need to update on the dry down…
Well, its been almost 3 hours and it smells nothing like the magical beginning. Now quite similar to Ghost as mentioned above, but thats on my skin and you need to test how it ends up on yours.

very, very masculine Rose with a touch of Incese and balmy woods, good duration and sillage, a back up on its way!

Wow!! I just love this. It slightly reminds me of Armani/Prive Rose d’Arabie, but this is little bit better. Usually I don’t like rose perfumes but Rosa Gallica….

This smells like rose-infused White Linen. Off the top you get sharp aldehydes (not listed in the notes, but very reminiscent of WL and to a lesser extent, Chanel No 22). Then the rose quickly kicks in and after that, its pretty linear. .Projection and sillage are excellent. I just can’t get past the aldehydes and am so glad I didn’t blind buy this! I am sure this fragrance has a lot of fans, but it is the antithesis of what I personally like as far as its notes/accords go. 4/10

Reminds me of India: I lived there for a few years and used to travel carrying a small oil perfume with me, an essence of roses and sandalwood.
Very intense and long lasting. Good quality ingredients!
This wonderful scent brings back so many memories!
makes me feel warm in the cold season….
