The most noticeable notes are violet, rose and magnolia. By the type, it reminds me Paris by YSL. Intensive floral bouquet.
Noble fragrance!

O..M..G.. This is a stunning Nordic beauty. I have new version EDT. It’s beautiful. It’s floral. An exquisite, soft floral, honeyed, but not sweet chypre. Refined. Elegant. Dreamy. Very reserved. Nothing too loud, nothing too much. Perfect blend. Intoxicating beauty. Classic. The mood (not the actual notes): a solitary walk in the park on a quiet Autumn day along of rusty-brown-yellow beds of fallen leaves, inhaling cool breeze from the Baltic Sea. It’s in the same department as Chanel 19, but just a little bit sweeter, or Ivoire de Balmain, but not so aromatic and herbal. A head spinning combination of roses and violets is predominant here plus some mossy/woody notes…Ooooh… A masterpiece. You have to try it to believe it.

OK. This perfume deserves more credit. I must say I’m pretty impressed. It is not very complicated or anything like that, but there certainly is quality here in the sense of longevity, sillage and scent itself. It is a powerful floral immediately when I spray it on.
I get a lot of powder and a lot of violet and iris. The rose and magnolia sweeten it up. I do get why the reviewer below me gets that honey vibe. I also feel like either the lily of the valley gives it a hint of green, but it’s a very very small one. Almost undetectable I’d say. Then there is the rose-iris-violet combination that gets me weak in my knees as usual. It gives off such a feminine, classy, strong vibe. It actually just smells like something that could be a vintage classic.
It lingers around me, there’s some truly excellent projection happening over here. And it even stayed on longer than my Chanel Cristalle eau de parfum that was sitting on my other wrist. There doesn’t seem to be much happening anymore, except for it getting more powdery in the dry down, so what you spray on is mostly what you get for the rest of the day or night to my nose. Though, what you get is a completely luxurious scent. Certainly something that makes more of a statement than roses like Chloe or Stella. Tends to remind me of Insolence, even. They share the same density. It is quite linear, but that is fine regarding the price, if you ask me. It’s simple. But gorgeous.

It is a bit sharp at first with some strange tinge that I couldn’t define until it developed. Then it turns all violets, then violet soap…a then whoops! it’s all yellow acacia with lo-o-ots of honey, but somehow not too sweet, rather gentle, spring honey smell you can feel in the air, then it gradually gets even less sweet and more powdery. Very curious, especcially taking the price into account…

If ever possible, try the old version, with a diamond shaped plastic cap.It has nothing to do with the contemporary one.
By sheer luck, I won an old bottle from Ebay and it is gorgeous, and also lasts forever. The top notes are not quite there anymore, but the honeyed floral heart is still the same as I remember from when I was 16 and it was one of the most popular perfumes among us girls.Violets, rose, and dark wildflower honey.
The new version is much more light and yes, a little bit like Bulgari Femme. It is pleasant but does not have this unique appeal – just a well done floral, mostly synthetic, transparent and short lived.
Get the old one!

Yammy powdery violet with a hint of rose and iris. Ultra feminine and soft fragranse. Secret of Riga is a lot like Bvlgari Pour Femme. But sillage is not great.

A very deep, mysterious bitter and sweet, with classical vintage accent. For recalcitrant freethinkers, who love perfumes with history. Latvian Chanel No.5. Unfortunately it doesn’t last very long.
