It’s march. And it’s cold. I don’t like it. Maybe men will wear it better. However, I must say it might be good for me it summer. I can feel this freshness -perfect for windy summer, somewhere close to the Baltic sea 😉

Dead ringer for Givenchy’s Pi Neo. Sultry sweet and softly powdered wood. Leaning toward masculine but as a lady I prefer to wear it. I deemed Pi Neo FB worthy and purchased but since they are so similar I won’t do a FB for Reverie. Obtained a sample from Luckyscent.com. The ambroxan in this fluid is a nod in the direction of Molecule 02 by Escentric Molecules and keeps Reverie from becoming: ‘Oh no, not (just) another oud fragrance’.

I really enjoyed this offering from Tom Daxon’s eponymous new line. Opening is an extraordinary mix of herbal artemesia and rosemary with a smoky oud backdrop. Ginger and elemi give a spicy warmth to the dry down. The inclusion of iris root helps soften things. If one is looking for an overwhelmingly “oud” scent, he or she will be sadly disappointed. Oud is added here as an accompaniment, not as a star (and in my humble opinion, to great effect). (37)

This is the most longlasting scent I have tried of the Daxon line but I think that is due to the oud note which is impossible to kill even in the smallest amounts. Like the other Daxons, this develops at lightning speed and you are left with mostly oud and ginger. It would be a pleasant summer scent for a man but I definitely would not wear it.
