I remember checking this out with my friend. We both smelt this for the first time but looked at each other in confusion and just started questioning whether we’ve smelt it before.
It’s that generic. So generic that you may have thought you’ve smelt it before even though you haven’t.

A very strong scent. Definitely a strong statement. In fact, it’s one of my signature scent. I find this scent so unique.
I believe this is officially phased out from where I am residing which is Singapore. It seems like this kind of scent isn’t popular in Asia, only in Europe and the Middle East as said by the sales person who attended to me.
I had to stock up at the outlet store as it is not available at the usual stores anymore.

I am going through an oud phase lately and had to have this, I like the idea of oil perfumes and the notes sounded lovely.
Red Musk Oud does not register like an oud fragrance to me. It is beautiful but very masculine to my tastes. It resembles an old school cologne my dad used to wear in the 80s, maybe Brut? It feels like a very typical male cologne, a bit spicy and green.
Anyway, I now use it as an in-shower body oil and my bathroom and bath towels all smell as if a gorgeous man has just had his morning shower and used his after shave leaving the place smelling all barbershop-y and nice.

Red Musk perfume is a soft and warm scent, easy to wear, even though it does not have floral notes. On the other hand Red Musk Oud is a stronger scent, not so delicate.
But I’m a little bit disappointed. I bought a 20 ml oil perfume, the bottle is pretty by the way, but sillage is close and longevity not so long. In RM oil, I smell the perfume like 4-5 hrs even though the scent is softer. I recommend you to buy the EDT or EDP if you want sillage, because I actually like it.
If you’re looking for the oil, the body lotion works better, in my opinion. I have it and last very well on myself.

I just wonder why women aren’t wearing Red Musk Oud.
It’s a very beautiful, amazing scent.
Starts heavy but softens and softens ever so slightly as time passes, until it stays close to skin. It lingers very well. Very sensual after-drydown.
One thing: these is no oud in here, so the ones who came for oud will be disappointed, and that’s totally understandable. But, don’t dismiss it completely and try to wear it for the day.
A blast of spice, amber and medicine. The medicine will tame, but…it’s there. Even when it’s settled on the skin, you get the medicine thingy. I approve of it,in fact it’s the exact reason I picked it.
Patchouli in my opinion is far more prominent than the voting indicates, the overall blend is not thaaat incensey, so don’t worry, you won’t be a walking church. Very good take on a balsamic perfume; I myself love balsamics and wasn’t disappointed by Red Musk Oud. Who would have though tobacco+cinammon+cedar could be that sensual? You will smell the olibanum more in the late drydown.
Projection is very good for the first three hours, after that it stays close to the skin

it’s my first time to use oud scent. Usually i use perfume with citrus or warm spicy notes. Not bad i think TBS red musk oud, i love it but not my signature.

Spray yourself with RED MUSK EDP and then close your eyes and enjoy…
Imagine you are the princess of an Asian Emprire, wearing fine clothes made by the most luxurious fabrics, sitting in a gold chair, while you take part in a sacred ceremony. You can smell spices, tobacco, cinnamon, olibanum and the woods… It’s a mindtrip in the Oriental Earth…
I feel that this is exactly what RED MUSK EDP wants to tell you.

An underrated beauty. If you are looking for a strong oud scent, look somewhere else. But if you love sensuous scents that evoke certain states in you, then this could well be the one for you. It starts with a musky, spicy, peppery vibe that glides into a room scented with mysterious frankincense and sublime patchouli before opening up into a deep mystical forest of cedar and tobacco leaves. Awesome for meditation when combined with a drop of dehn el oud from cambodia…

At that price I can not understand how anyone can think that there is even a drop of true oud !As synthetic oud does not suck but it is impossible to propose it in the Middle East if you do not want to be teased or reported for this invention gourmand ! It would be like trying to sell plastic bananas in Costa Rica !

On the Canadian TBS website it isn’t available, some of the old perfumes look like they have been repackaged, but there is a black musk available. Interesting!!

This is SUCH a wonderful discovery. I only happened upon this by accident, thinking this was the regular Red Musk but ohhh did my dear heart flutter upon reading the word ~oud~. Super stoked as well that it’s on 20% discount so it comes down to IDR 302.000 (roughly AUD 30). I guess im just happy (and surprised) that there’s a reasonably afforable oud scent available, in quite a mainstream store nevertheless.
As for scent descriptions.. to me it smells very Oriental. Amber, musk, woody and sweet notes are what i can detect. sorry can’t really describe this very well, reviewers down below have basically done a better job explaining the notes, quite accurately i might add.

I’ve found it on the tbs’ website at the gifts. So, I think, it exists.

I love this smell…it is absolutely gorgeous.
I imagine a mysterious temple in a faraway, exotic place…perhaps tucked away in a magical mountainous region. The rain is softly falling outside the window, and a cool, gentle breeze russles the bamboo wind chimes. A thin wisp of smoke rises from a single burning incense stick. The sun is just setting, and one can hear the chant of evening prayers – hypnotic, enchanting and mesmerizing.

Wow! First sniff reminds me of Avon Christian Lacroix Absynthe without floral but still smell good! Definitely a fragrance for fall/winter!

Well since I couldn’t find this in the UK OR on the UK website for the body shop I emailed the customer services team and they didn’t acknowledge red musk oud at all, just said the only red musk they do is the red musk edp. So seems this isn’t real……STRANGE!

one of the most complex scent from Body Shop, imho.
I just wonder why the hell only the edt and edp version available in my country but not the perfume oil.
But kudos for body shop for making this frag, I like it.

I’m usually not a keen fan of The Body Shop fragrance line, but this one along with the predecessor the Red Musk turns me ON!!!
It’s a westernized version of oud, most likely synthetic. Perhaps it’s not synthetic, I don’t know but judging on my natural dehn al oud collections and fancier ittars along with Al Rehab stuff this one is probably yes…synthetic. But it’s okay! I love oud, it’s amazing!
Some might said it’s an acquired taste, but this stuff is one hell of a player, TBS definitely step up their game with Red Musk, and Red Musk Oud!

A very decent flanker of the Red Musk from the body shop that makes a very nice every few years. When you compare this to the original red musk, you simply realize that the latter didn’t have any depth as a scent, it was a very linear scent, but shallow as well, musk with nuances of many other notes, but this is a complete scent, may not be amazing, but complete.
Red musk our surprisingly doesn’t have any our in it, its a ln oriental scent, but oriental for Westerners only, its sweet, ambery, and musky blended with cinnamon and tobacco, more of the first, the tobacco here just seems to hold all those sweet notes together and to avoid it becoming overly sweet, it also adds depth to the scent. This has no oud, the base consists of musk and little sweet nances that I couldn’t recognize, its smells like amber, but amber isn’t listed so I’m not sure.
The introduction is much sweeter than the heart and the base. Over all a very nice scent that will probably sell well, and the “oud” is named for a reason, they’re trying to catch up with the Our hype before it dies.
The longevity of this scent is average, 4 to 5 hours max, the sillage and projection are amazing for the first 3 hours, I had this sprayed on one arm, when I left the store I had 4 sprays from different perfumes on both hands, I kept getting whiffs of the Raed Musk Oud without detecting the others.
Will definitely buy for the next winter, on the list already.

This one is Safe Westernized Oud, well balanced with Patchouli, that makes it little sweet and Cinnamon that adds a richness to Oud without clouding. In this version Tobacco is very less detectable.
Safe, well balanced, High on silage, Moderate on Longevity, fair on price.

Wow! Unexpectedly beautiful. I tried both the EDP and the oil version (which I liked best for the bigger sillage). Creamy musk, a balanced balsamic-spice accord and a smooth oudy woody note create a sensual and warm scent. Absolutely unisex and recommended.

Goddamnit, why on earth is this stuff not sold in my country (we have lots of people here that celebrate the Ramadan)….I already contacted the Body Shop but they simply wrote back it´s not sold where I live.
I just hope this scent is a failure then I can stop being angry about such stupid marketing ideas.

This one is dense, much more heavier on pepper then the original Red Musk, slightly sweet and dry, like a dehydrated pomegranate. End up buying the Oil concentration
