رامان my first authentic Arabian perfume! What can I say…there is something different from the orientals released by western designers. It’s very hard to pin it down, but the moment you sniff it you are likely to say: “this one is really something!”. By no means is this a sombre oriental or an overpowering concoction of heavy notes. The first ten minutes Raman is slightly pungent, but soon after it begins to develop into a mesmerizing and harmonious scent. A warm mix of spices is the dominant accord and the flowers are sorta stuck inside, dip into this opulent mix. The notes listed above are definitely incomplete, Raman for women must include something peppery — maybe the same pimento mentioned in Raman for men — and personally I got a vaguely incense feeling from time to time, when I catch a whiff from my arm. Sillage is moderate/soft but the scent is long-lasting and, as I said before, mesmerizing. I find it suitable for both day and night, and I love to wear it on special dates…it’s magnetic! Apart from the perfume itself, there is an attention for the packaging and the details I’ve never seen before! Raman is very choreographic, you have to unbox it to find a matching velvet bag and finally the bottle. The bottle is sumptuous, the picture here does’t make it justice and *side note* I prefer to move the stopper in asymmetrical position, so that the flacon looks less squared and more like a jewel. Raman is a must-try and/or buy if you’re looking for a warm floriental-powdery-spicy straight out of the Arabian Nights. Fragrantica should create a special button for fragrances like this! For me it’s beyond love.
