Description

Queen Latifah presents her new fragrance named Queen of Hearts in august 2010, made in collaboration with the Parlux Fragrances company. Queen of Hearts is a sophisticated and elegant fragrance of warm and feminine notes, romantic and perfect for fall season. It tells you that true beauty really comes from the heart of a woman, from her inner strength.

“The heart has a song all its own. This new fragrance sings out the message that beauty comes from the heart of a woman. Indeed, this fragrance too conveys my belief that beauty is a state of love, an expression of a woman’s confidence and sensuality. Queen of Hearts captures the allure of a woman’s body, her mind and her inner strength.” says Queen Latifah about the perfume.

Top notes of the Queen of Hearts perfectly balance warmth and strength with its aromas of bergamot, dewy greens, spicy cinnamon and sensual purple plum. Romantic, elegant and intriguing notes of the heart represent the woman’s inner beauty with Egyptian jasmine, red fruits and a bouquet of white flowers. Sensuality that lingers on skin comes in the form of warm amber aroma, musk, patchouli, vanilla, olibanum and smoky incense.

The Queen is dressed in sophisticated color of gold and azure blue this time. Queen of Hearts comes in a golden bottle engraved with a heart in the middle and golden box with a blue outline. The nose of the compositions is Steve de Mercado.

It is available as 100 ml EDP.

The nose behind this fragrance is Steve Demercado.

As a lover of the original Queen in the red bottle, I was impressed enough to want to own this one as well. The very first time I sprayed this on, I was a bit taken aback. It smelled mature and masculine in a vintage way that I didn’t think I liked. I thought it was going to be one of my rare, unsuccessful blind buys.
Thank goodness I didn’t give up on it. I came back to it a few days later and tried again. This time, I smelled the most warm, rich, fruity, boozy, smokey, spicy, ambery scent–and I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. I’m not sure what changed, but I do think that the very first 5-10 minutes of this fragrance can sometimes come off as overwhelming. If you had the same experience as me initially, give it a little time! It morphs into a warm, intoxicating beauty that as others have pointed out, has much more in common with expensive niche quality perfumes than most celebrity mass market scents. The bottle is also heavy and feels substantial and lux.
This is wonderful in fall and winter and the dry down is heavenly. Spray it lightly on your clothes or a favorite sweater and come back the next day and you’ll want to bury your face in it all day.

I gave away my full bottle of Queen Of Hearts in an impulsive decision and now I regret it a lot.it’s not your typical celebrity perfume and has an almost niche-like complexity (reminds me Mona di orio Vanilla a bit).I could really pickup cinnamon, incense, patchouli and amber,a darkish spicy-fruity undertone,a hint of musky florals and something like a smokey vanilla.Queen of hearts is a great blend of spicy, smokey, balsamic and herbal notes.I remember that it’s drydown was softer, sweeter, less incensey and I liked it more than it’s almost unisex opening
Very good longevity and projection and a sophisticated, multi layered scent.Sigh

To me this is a lighter version of Givenchy Organza Indecence. Queen of Hearts definitely “opens” much bigger and better in cooler weather

No incense or olibanum here. No cinnamon. Very disappointing. This is patchouli and benzoin overload. Little red fruit/citrus in the end and some harsh amber. So sad. I burn incense almost every other day. Different kinds of incense too but none of that here don´t be fooled. It´s not a bad perfume but it is bit dated and not a blind buy incense perfume and the components advertised are not right. It smells close to Tom Ford´s white patchouli. I may give it away.

This is such a cozy, spicy and somehow soapy and sexy fragrance after it settles in. The opening is just ok but the dry down is oh so nice! I spray away bc it is light but also inexpensive. Love!

I wanted this perfume for quite some time and got it this week. I can say that this can easily be called a man’s perfume or unisex- spicy, warm even heavy in some way. Reminds me of a weaker version of Judith Leiber Night.
Unfortunately this has almost no staying power on me despite being a spicy, balsamic edp.
I wanted to get her first perfume, but couldn’t find it anywhere in my country, but this one was available and at a very low price ( 10 euros). I hope that some day the red one would be available.

Moderately spicy floral with a bit of red fruit, dries down to frankincense. Reminds me a bit of Shiseido’s Bois de Femininite. Good cold weather scent, but I tend to layer it with other spicy/incense-y perfume oils to make it last longer, as it fades pretty fast. The good news is that it is plentiful and cheap on eBay and other sources on the web, so I bought several bottles (all under $10) and spray away!

Mmmm beautiful spices that are sweet and warm and lovely followed by incense and resins. Than the incense turns to soap. That sounds nonsensical, but it’s as if someone created a lily of the valley incense that is just slightly smokey and very clean. There is a perfect rich woody note, than more soap followed by a dirty musk.
If the longevity was better I’d be tempted to see if it was an off night. When it works it is amazing, but sometimes it just doesn’t.

I had a craving for this today. It is so comforting and has an ethereal presence. It reminds me of “Fancy Nights” by the same nose (Steve De Mercado) and one that i have also grown to love. It has moderate sillage and longer lasting than I had thought previously. I love its soft edges. Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a fragrance. This is a definite love now.

I’ve worn this three times now. That’s usually enough for me to know if I am into the frag in question. Unfortunately, this one…I’m just not excited about it at all. It’s not that it isn’t lovely (it is) or well-composed (it is) it’s that it just doesn’t stay. I am lucky to get ten minutes of its beauty (and this is WITH the lotion layered underneath) and then it is gone…gone with the wind!
Considering that “Queen” knocked my socks off (and is in my top ten of favorite celeb fragrances) I was really hoping that this one would surprise me. That just isn’t the case.
The cinnamon note in this is really lovely, and the drydown I get with the lovely yellow florals is something I can happily embrace (there is no smoke, no patchouli for me-this goes straight to yellow, light florals on my skin, though they’re nowhere to be found in the notes)…except that it just will not stick to me the way that “Queen” does. Of course, “Queen” is a boozy, caramel, fruit melange on me and the drydown on it sticks to my skin (or hair, or clothing, or anything in its path) for hours and hours. It’s the lovely pineapple-upside down cake thing (see my “Queen” review) that I love so much, and the longevity of the fragrance that I adore about “Queen”.
This purchase didn’t set me back much, but it won’t be something I ever buy again. Sadly, for all it’s good points, I just can’t justify having to spray myself repeatedly through the day. I want a perfume to hang around, announce itself, invite people into my personal space.
This one just is too shy, too skittish to do that.

first spray….warm spicy, gentle, comforting….gentle spice and soft flowers. This has a soft sillage. The gentle cinnamon keeps wafting up to my nose….lovely, feminine….a bit of lime to keep it fresh. Very nice…. safe yet different kind of fragrance. I will get to know it more throughout the day but if you are looking for something different, not too flowery and a great price then this may be for you.

As of September, I started making monthly perfume trays in order to get to know the perfumes I already own even better. This is on October’s tray, and now that the last days of October are coming to an end, I feel that I can give a pretty fair review on this. 🙂
I actually like this one a bit better than Queen, which is saying a lot because I really like that one! This is such a well-executed cinnamon. It doesn’t smell like the cinnamon pinecones that invade your senses as you walk up to the grocery store, but more like a cinnamon incense. This is a great cold-weather scent as it is very comforting. I read somewhere that someone thinks this smells like sugar cookies and I agree! There’s something cozy about it, but also quite sensual. I will say I was unsure at first of this scent because it is quite shoe-polishy at first. I can see that. However, giving this time to develop allowed me to develop a love for this one. I would definitely repurchase! I actually like to wear the original Queen with this one. They work well together.

This is a lovely, sensual and warming fragrance.
I’m usually pretty scared of cinnamon as a note in perfume, as it can be overpowering – but it is ever so light and delicate here.
I get more of the incense and plum initially, then it envelopes me in amber warmth and buttery vanilla with a very gentle, sweet citrus in the background. It has a clean, just-out-of-a-fragrant-warm-bath vibe going on as it settles on the skin.
Little side note: There are parts of the dry down that remind me of Dior Dune and Coco Chanel (spices and amber?) and YSL Cinema (citrus and vanilla?).
    Moderate sillage, excellent longevity.
QL’s fragrances are classy. A travesty they’ve been discontinued.

I use the s word sparingly in reviews, but the the opening of Queen Of Hearts is very sexy! It starts off with bergamot, then quickly rise into cinnamon, nutmeg and various other spices. It’s voluptuous, big, and sensual, like body heat or standing next to somebody too close. Over time it got bigger and bolder on me, and to a point it made me feel sick, which is really unfortunate because I really loved the opening. It has a solid heavy to enormous sillage on me. Still a very beautiful perfume, just the scent, my skin type, and my nose are not a #dreamteam. People with oily skin or easily nauseated by strong perfume beware.

I like this scent as well. Nice and long lasting.
Nice cinnamon and smoke notes. Smells nice.

This one’s a pretty good celeb scent. I get lots of plum, amber, cinnamon and incense. There is something a bit wood polishy about it but then at one point it made me think of a homemade plum wine.
It is the perfect autumn scent for the season of mellow fruitfulness. Warm, juicy and enveloping.
The berries and floral notes come more to the fore with time. Yes, a cheap fragrance that manages to develop. The cinnamon, plum and incense always stand firm though.
I think it would suit any age group really. It’s not a sweet girly scent. One to wear when you are likely to get embraced. They won’t want to let go lol

I read these beautiful reviews and was looking for something with cinnamon in it. Well I ordered via internet a blind buyand it came today. I sprayed it on my wrist and it smelt like vetiver full on. I sprayed it on my step daughter it smelt sweet. I sprayed it on my sons gf and it smelt like vetiver and died down after 10 mins to a sweeter. My young son could smell the cinnamon. His comment was cinnamon with butter chicken???
Anyhow definitely not for me after time it is now smelling like wood polish. Have given to my step daughter.
Definitely I dislike but she likes.

Just received this today, originally wanted her 1st one but got this one when I found it sooner. Still plan on getting her 1st, especially now. I could tell I would probably be pleased based on some of my favorite notes being in it (musk and amber). Yes I am a guy, just a disclaimer. I pretty much only wear female or unisex fragrances due to both an allergy and, well simply put, cologne smells bad on me. I learned this when I was a teenager and got into my Grandmother’s White Diamonds, and was the “rave” at school from all the compliments. Something about my chemistry turns almost any of these scents into a male scent for some reason and have never once been accused of smelling “Feminine” and always produce shocks when or if they discover I’m wearing something labeled as “A women’s fragrance”.. (Of course flowery/gardenia/strong powders ect are exceptions).
When I began air testing this, passing it slowly and letting it air out, doing some face passes and finally some skin tests. I was blown away. Smoky indeed! This one just took me away into some night time moon light escapade on the shores of Bermuda or something. The notes that stood out on my skin, even after several hours were the musk and spicy incense. The fragrance was very warm and felt like I was wrapped in a sultry balmy night. I found it rather exotic and perhaps even a little “Classy erotic”. I really am glad I tried this one, and cannot wait to try her 1st fragrance. I’m always slightly afraid of Patchouli but it did this one no harm, the light top notes provided initial whimsical freshness, but quickly settled into it’s darker mid and base notes. Though not a fan of her music/genre, I adore her as an actor in almost anything she does, I had a feeling she could produce an amazing scent…I was not disappointed.

I love the top note with its pronounced cinnamon. Queen of Hearts gets off to a great start.
Sadly, this is gone in a flash. I’ve been testing this one and I keep spraying it in new spots. When I go back to smell the dry down it’s already gone. I finally drew an X on my arm where I sprayed it so I’d know exactly where to sniff. Within 30 minutes, it’s gone completely – not even a skin scent.

I agree with Happy123 it’s a clean smokiness. I really like this, but the plum kind of disappears on me. I did find this horrid on a test paper, but it really develops well on the skin. I’m glad I gave it a chance. Nothing else like it in my collection. Perfect for the cold weather.

  21. :

Like the original, this is very much a grown-up scent. I adore the smokiness, which is more pronounced than in original Queen, and the plum here reminds me of Rochas Femme. It’s perfectly woody and sweet, quite patch-heavy in the base. Also like the original, the performance is lacking, but for the price, just buy it and spray on a shitton.

Nice perfume. It’s clean and spicy and smokey all at the same time. Have not got used to it yet. Very light on me …. seems to disappear real quick … but the smokey cinnamon scent remains. There’s something about it that doesn’t smell natural … as in flowers or spices … a little artificial. I’ll give it some time. Can’t say I like the red bottle of Queen much better.

I smell my childhood when I spray Queen of Hearts. Something in it reminds me of the past. Some distant holiday season where cinnamon, smoke, vanilla and my mom filled the air. It seems fragrances DO hold history. This one does…for me.
Queen of Hearts is a bit thick and heavy (in a good way) to me. I can feel the weight of the notes around me. Given that, it’s surprising it’s not suffocating, but it’s not. It’s wonderfully warm and comfortable.
I’m not sure there’s another fragrance with a better cinnamon note. This one is by far the best I’ve experienced. The cinnamon adds a little spice to the vanilla, making it more interesting than the typical role it plays for me, which is to soothe. The incense is one of my favorites as well. It’s sweetish and smokey but not dark. I smell less amber than most voters and the patchouli has a late arrival. Now the plum, that’s interesting. It’s more pronounced on some wearings than on others. Occasionally, it’s as clear as if I were eating it. Other days, distant and barely impacting. For the life of me I can’t figure out why, but I’ll take it! Two distinct fragrances for the price of one and love them both.
I believe my mother would have loved Queen of Hearts as much as I do. I know it’s the cinnamon and incense playing tricks on my psyche and tugging at my olfactory heart strings, but I don’t mind. Tug away…

I’ve been wanting to try this for some time especially after one of my residents had a bottle of the original Queen in the red bottle. That one smelled awesome like high end spicy boozy vanilla perfumes from Guerlain or Tom Ford YSL. I wanted to get a bottle of it but never really made it a priority or feel like searching for it. So finally I found Queen of Hearts at Marshalls for $9.99!I had seen it there before last week & i knew it was my time to finally act on it.
& Omg this is another banger from Queen Latifah! Especially wiffs of it remind me of a younger updated YSL Opium. Spicy comfy luxurious like the sophisticated businesswomen you pass downtown Chicago. Somebody can easily lie and say they are wearing something from Guerlain or classic Cinnabar type and u would believe it! It’s smells a hell of alot more expensive than what I paid. And the cinnamon notes are done right and not “booty” or “granny” smelling. Queen Latifah makes 80’s spicy perfumes wearable for today’s modern woman (or in my case-MAN).in addition, she takes out all the weird nasty cloying mess and gives us the notes that we want. Sophisticated spicy warm comfortable exquisite compositions at a fraction of the price of niche houses.

Spicy cinnamon with jammy plum! This is surprisingly nice. I feel bad for not giving it a chance earlier. It’s warm and just sweet enough without being overwhelming. Generally I’m not a fan of cinnamon, so it’s nice to see it done right. It’s such a cuddly warm holiday scent! Don’t let the price point fool you, it definitely deserves a test.

This is an underrated fragrance and smells so amazing. Though i don’t smell any cinnamon, this last all day and stays on your clothes. A little bit goes a long way. I blind bought this because the queen fragrance smelled so fantastic i had very high expectations for this one and when i received it, i was not really impressed from the first spray but as it dried down i fell completely in love with this fragrance and i could only imagine what Queen Latifah’s other fragrances would’ve smelled like if she would’ve continued to release fragrances and this review is coming from a guy.

I own and like queen latifah’s queen, the red one and I find it warm, boozy, classy and cozy.unbelievable quality for it’s price.I didn’t know what to think about queen of hearts by it’s notes.incense, patchouli and spices aren’t among my usual favorites and it’s almost nowhere in my country, when I found a 3.4 oz for 27$ I couldn’t let it go and now I’m here with another great job from queen latifah
Queen of hearts is exactly what I expected and wished belle d opium to be.it’s all about cinnamon grounded by smokey patchouli, spicy amber and vanilla.it’s so well blended that non of the notes shadow the others.spices are grounded so there’s nothing sharp here and it’s warm and sweet balsamic base, prevents smoke and spices to make it manly..it’s mature and complex and has a personality but it’s also soft, inviting and pleasant.to be honest it’s nothing you’d expect from a celebrity perfume or a cheapy.I find both queen latifah’s perfumes more complex, unique and expensive smelling than 80% of more expensive ones from high end brands
It’s the first day of me with this perfume so I can’t talk about it’s lasting power or people’s comments about it,I just know that I like it and it worthes much more than it’s price
    Edit:
Stays for 5-6 hours on my skin and alot more on clothes.sillage is more than moderate, almost huge at first but it gradually reduces to moderate, all in all projection is acceptable, better than lot of expensive perfumes and it IS a compliment getter mostly from perfumistas and my +35 friends,I think mature noses can appreciate it’s beauty more
As mentioned before most of it’s dominant notes aren’t my faves but I love cinnamon and amber and vanilla and it’s more about these notes on me.lots of cinnamon in a resinous, balsamic base, delicious and warm and inviting, a little dark, but also soft.it reminds me a softer organza indecense which I love
A lovely fall, winter scent, very different from the red one but both are warm and mature and I truly appreciate their presence in my collection
    ❤❤❤❤

This is very nice, spicy woodsy and sweet. The silage and longevity are below average and
It is also too similar to Salvador Dali Purple Lips Sensual which I already own, so I don’t think I will be purchasing a FB.I prefer that scent overall in terms of fragrance and performance. This one is however, a great budget buy, well worth the low price tag.

Blind buy gone very well and i am usually very picky. This was just as good as I had imagined, and easy to wear which is a bonus for me. The price is nice and the bottle is lovely. That much for advertising, go and buy it.
Just kidding. it may not be your thing but i love it.
I smell spicy vanilla here mostly. It opens with slightly smoky and bitter spices, mostly cinnamon and then goes to fruity floral vanilla. I am usually careful with vanilla based scents because I find them often too sweet for me. I am not spicy scents kind of girl either because I find spicy scents too much spicy most of the time (which is no surprise, right?). This one is a nice blend to me, vanilla that isn’t too foody or too sweet and cinnamon which is not so bitterly spicy.
I am not going to say this is very different or very complex. It is rather lovely not complex and linear scent. There are probably many other similar around here. but i say it is easy to wear, lovely vanilla spice blend which smells very good and is not expensive at all.
    A love to me.

So I’m the first guy to review it in a year. I have read through tons of reviews and have sampled this 4 or 5 times in the past year or so. I can only add that this is unisex. Great for any weather as it is light in composition and the plum really stands out along with the cinnamon on my skin along with the smokiness. I wished there were not any florals but they are also very noticeable. At $10 or less even if you don’t like I am sure you can pass along to someone who will. 7/10

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I do enjoy this fragrance. It is a lovely spicy cinnamon with a good dash of a boozy warmth which likely is just the vanilla. Softer than the red bottle (Queen Latifah) but I think this just makes it more wearable for the daytime. For the price it is a fairly safe blind buy for someone who loves cinnamon fragrances. I get a little bit of floral with the spices, but not much from the fruit. I imagine that is what brings out the fullness of the frag.I think it could be worn year round, but I find myself feeling it would really shine in cooler weather. The longevity is fair–maybe 4-6 hours and then only faintly noticeable. For the price, though it is excellent and am debating if I should buy another one before they are all gone. It is definitely the little sister though, so if you are looking for a spice with more punch, I would go with the red bottle Queen Latifah.

  33. :

a newish blind buy for me, partly as the price is low. I liked the opening and middle, but then sprayed it onto a mohair coat I had and left the coat in the hallway. For the next few days my hallway had an acrid and not very pleasant smell of hairspray. What I mean is the basenotes are cheap and harsh, and let it down. Will have to part company.

This is the second fragrance by Queen Latifah that I’ve tried and I’m still quite impressed, especially when compared with other celebrity scents. It’s easy to wear – there’s nothing weird here – but it’s very much a grown up fragrance. It opens with a sweet, slightly spicy floral bouquet, well grounded in it’s incense/patchouli base. It’s lighter than the original, with less projection; the flanker is a floriental while Queen is full on, boozy oriental. It dries down to a fairly standard but still well done and attractive sweet amber with a hint of drying incense. Maybe Queen of Hearts isn’t the most original fragrance but it’s amazingly well put together for the price. Definitely glad to have this in my collection for days I just want something beautiful and comforting.

Picked this up at my local discount store for only $8.00. Figured that was safe to pay for a blind buy. First spray – very mild and soft citrus/floral scent. I do not get any incense or cinnamon at all. The scent immediately dries down to a somewhat vague floral, reminds me a little bit of Si Senorita by Lolita Lempika, but it’s otherwise undistinguished. I do not find it complex or interesting. Rather nondescript fruity floral with a musky dry down, that’s light and faint. Pass on this one.

This scent commands a room! Sexy, Sultry, Get me Bodied, Power~Boss! The way all of the notes melds into my skin is absolutely beautiful…I am in love with this fragrance. You don’t have to break the bank to smell divine, but you have to be open to different possibilities…This is a Full-Size $9.99 Winner!

I blind bought Queen of Hearts, which arrived today. I figured it would be safe, due to its price (less than $10 for the 3.4 oz bottle), and due to the positive reviews here. I like the listed notes, and I like Queen Latifah’s other eponymous scent also.
I found this to smell remarkably like Cartier Le Baiser du Dragon, only this stickier and syrupy-sweet.
I really like spicy, interesting scents, and this is no exception. It might be cloying in hot weather. Too early for me to tell, as of now.
Le Baiser du Dragon is a very dry scent, and this is the very sweet side of the same coin.
    Edited to add:
I think the common denominator between this and Le Baiser du Dragon is an amaretto/almond note or accord (not listed here).

Beautiful fragrance of white flowers, incense, plum, cinnamon and amber. This was mostly a fruity floral with amber and just the right amount of incense and patchouli. I used to avoid any fragrance with incense and patchouli because I thought it would be too strong but now I know that it makes a fragrance so amazing so classy and so beautiful. The incense here is lighter than in Queen. In fact Queen is the evening cologne equivalent to this day time scent. It’s inoffensive despite all the notes which sound like it would be strong. It’s mostly a jasmine on me as well a pretty jasmine with spicy touches of cinnamon. The amber at the dry down is really quite nice so if you like perfumes with amber you’ll like this one. This is a bit on the soapy side too like luxurious hotel soap at the Ritz. Sweet, spicy, clean and elegant fragrance. It also reminds me just a little bit of Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds- only better!

I decided to pick this up after reading all the glowing reviews. It’s available for dirt cheap at Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshall’s–$9.99. I even saw a 3.4 oz bottle on clearance at Ross for $6.99. I can’t believe this is being discontinued. More bottles for those of us in the know, I suppose! I’m not one to be able to pick out notes well, but I know what I like. I’ve been wearing this for over 8 hours today, and it’s just heavenly. Rich, yummy, spicy, and resonant. Doesn’t smell cheap at all.

Sweety spicy, aromatic plum with cinnamon, based on evening incase and patchouli. Similar to Feminite du Bois SL and Belle d’Opium YSL, my favourites, but cheaper as well as the price of the bottle and the ingredients inside. But still nice, daily and creating warm shelter for winter or cold autumn.

For a few weeks after I bought this, I thought it was pretty good, especially for the price: a creamy cinnamon perfume that was very sweet but not crossing the line into nauseatingly sweet. More and more, I started noticing this acrid smell that was just way too chemical, like something trying to smell like incense or bonfire and instead managing to smell like burning hair or something like that. I wonder if it’s just body chemistry. To bad, since I love cinnamon scents.

This is really nice and how a smoky scent should be created. It feels sultry and the combination of the smoke with the white florals is beautiful. The spicy background makes me keep wanting to smell my wrist! It kind of reminds me of Belle D’Opium a bit (in a good way)

One of my favorite scents of all time.
The smokiness, the amber, the plum, the light spice just go together so effortlessly in this fragrance.
This is not your typical celeb fruit-bowl fragrance. This is a mature adult fragrance by Steve Demercado (i.e. Escada, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs). It is soft and subtle, yet noticeable. Longevity is okay. I get about 4-5 hours on clothes.

It smells DEAD ON like creamy bar soap. It’s fantastic first thing in the morning when you want to smell squeaky clean and shower fresh. It may not have been what I expected, but sometimes, what you don’t expect is even better – and that is the case here. I *love* to spray this on first thing when I wake up, but before I shower. It’s an amazing instant, lovely, creamy, musky, instant-clean smell. I may not wear it all day, but it’s the bomb right out of bed.
Yes. I’m having a lazy morning. Why, no, I didn’t shower, but you can’t tell, because I smell like Queen. 😛
UPDATE: I’m big on reviewing safe perfumes for migraine sufferers, so I’ll note. This won’t *cause* a migraine. However… if I have even a slight headache brewing, it will set one off. Like comedy, timing is everything. Wear wisely.

Queen of Hearts = Queen of Layering for me! I am quite a fan of spicy fragrances so a little cinnamon and incense would never put me off… in fact this scent is almost “middle of the road” for its genre, a little too sweet perhaps and a little too well behaved. What I have found that Queen of Hearts really comes to life when you spray it over a heavier fragrance. I have tried these as base and QOH on top and the results were amazing: YSL Opium, Rochas Femme, Cinnabar, Youth Dew, Coco Chanel… you could probably do the same with Revlon Ciara or Dana Tabu as well. Try it out and your Queen of Hearts will turn into a sultry grown up Queen 🙂

Wow, what a pleasant surprise!! I blind bought this based on reviews, and found it at an amazingly low price…this is honestly the best scent I have for the money!
It starts off a bit sharp, but mellows out within about 20 minutes…2 hours later it has weakened substantially on my skin, but still there smelling up close. I’ll probably spray this once on my hair and once on my shirt to see if that will help it hold longer.
I’m not great at identifying individual notes–but this scent is really great! It’s sweet without being TOO sweet or young…just enough sweetness to make it yummy, and just enough spice to warm it up. This really smells like a much more expensive perfume.
I think this scent is perfect for fall! I would wear it during the day or night…just apply it more liberally at night.
Though this isn’t one of my top 5 favorite fragrances, I’d say it makes top 10! And for the price, this gets a LOVE from me!

I like this. I have her other scent, but don’t wear it since the patchouli is a little too dominant for me. I like this more, with the patchouli being less powerful, but still find it a bit too strong for me to love. Patchouli, incense, and cinnamon are what I end up smelling the most from this.

    bonjour,

Interesting and weird scent, i don’t know that i like it or not..!
Queen of Hearts is a lovely lady-like perfume ,it might seem stuffy and old-fashioned to those who prefer bubble-gum celebrity perfumes, but it’s really a classic.
Longevity & Sillage are moderate ..
PS : I love the bottle on my vanity it’s pretty =)

Cinnamon, amber, incense, spicey but smooth and warm. There is something here that reminds me of a softer, lighter version of CD Poison. It does not feel heavy as much as it feels deep to me and certainly not as heavy as its sister ‘Queen’ Its a complex and quality fragrance and a bargain for the price as I think it’s comparable to far pricier scents. I can see on here that a lot of people love this one so of course………….Discontinued!
