This is a soft and sweet smelling fresh fruity floral scent I love to spritz on after a shower and to wear for myself at home usually on a leisurely Sunday morning. It’s fruity with apple scents which they list here as apple blossom but it smells like an apple shampoo to me. The cherry blossom is the strongest accord. It dominates the entire fragrance but the vanilla is right next to it and I would classify this as a cherry blossom vanilla. I can also smell sweet peony and the slightest hint of jasmine. The heliotrope is also there and I love heliotrope even when it’s not really standing out it’s good to know it’s there. This is not a gourmand, not heavily floral fruity; it’s simply a sweet inoffensive misty scent of cherry blossom. Heaven.

At first I wrote this perfume off as as being a bubble gum shampoo type of scent, and not for me. It is a very tart and clean scent, very fruity , but the sandalwood makes it a tad unique. I decided to wear this scent yesterday and four men told me it was amazing and asked what it was. I was shocked. I usually wear much stronger scents (youth dew, obsession ) But I guess this one is a crowd pleaser, I will wear it more often.
I see people comparing it to Chanel eau Chance, and I agree, it also somehow reminds me of Chloe EDP, I think if you love Chloe , you will like this (they are not the same, but sort of sister perfumes if you know what I mean)

Pure White Linen Pink Coral is a nicely tart, crisp, fresh cherry blossom scent, with just a touch of sandalwood to ground it, and heliotrope to soften the cherry blossom. Apple blossom shows up during the heart phase to bring some sweetness to the mix- but it’s a light, breezy sweetness, not thick, never cloying. The dry-down is sandalwood, peony and cherry blossom.
This is not a linear scent, so much as it is a scent dominated by the cherry blossom…but it’s such a *lovely* cherry blossom. The pink pepper is there to add a touch of dry rose, and the other notes waft in and out as the scent develops. PWLPC is really pretty, and perfect for hot humid days when you want to feel crisp and cool.
It’s the nicest cherry blossom I’ve come across, and really resembles the actual scent of cherry blossoms. Just beautiful.
BUT…it’s faint. It’s light. It’s kinda wimpy. You’ll want to douse yourself repeatedly to create sillage. That sillage might last for an hour, then it will be gone. You could keep this in the fridge and use it as a freshening spray. If this were three times stronger it would be gorgeous and amazing. But as it stands, it’s just nice.
Because of the weakness, I wouldn’t recommend spending much on a bottle. I’d place it in the $8-12 range for an ounce, rather than the $25 I’m seeing it go for online. Wait for a sale, if you’re in the market for a very pretty, non-soapy, realistic cherry blossom scent!
EDIT: A friend and I were disagreeing about this scent, and ended up pulling out our bottles, like a couple of cowboys at high noon.
Our bottles contain distinctly different scents. Hers is much sweeter, headier, apple blossom forward with little to no pink pepper, more sillage (heavy), but only lasts for a couple of hours, batch A29, from Feb 2009.
Mine is drier, rosier (more pink pepper), cherry blossom forward, it lasts for a good 24 hours, but only has light to moderate sillage, batch A19, from Jan 2009. I prefer mine, she prefers hers. Which is good, I suppose!
But please be aware that there appears to have been a reformulation. Both are good quality scents, just different, so I seriously doubt that either is a fake. If you have thoughts on what’s going on here, please PM me. Thanks! We each tested both on our wrists and compared- this is not a skin chemistry issue.

When I went to repurchase my favourite Beautiful Love from the Estee Lauder Counter the sales assistant advised me that it had been discontinued and this was to replace it. They definitely have a similar feel but they are in no way the same scent. This is a pink peppery re-interpretation of the first White linen breeze on my skin (the one with the frosted gold ribbed lid) which is also discontinued. Nice, I have tried it on twice but it is not for me, too girly/fruity. I prefer White linen Breeze and Pure White linen. Beautiful Love was gorgeous however and I wish they would bring it back.

This has a hint of Chanel chance Eau tendre but in a sharp spicy way. Clean & fresh, safe to use any season any time. Like it.

This perfume was acquired blindly in a swap and I knew what the original white linen was like but not this.
This is a pretty, light, feminine, floral, fresh, inoffensive, summer fragrance. It’s much safer than the original white linen which can be rather harsh.
This is nice for the summer, I would never wear this in the winter and I think it will have a place in my collection simply because it’s the sort of fragrance you can wear when you wish to be low key, unnoticeable and subtle.
The longevity is average on my skin, it lasts for about 3 hours and silage is moderate. It’s almost like a skin scent.

I like this one better than the original. Fresh and clean, a bit peppery with soft flowernotes. Great for summertime. On my skin it lasts about 3-4 hours.
Jag gillar denna bättre än originalet. Fräsch och ren, aningens pepprig med mjuka blomnoter, suverän för sommartid. Stannar på min hud mellan 3-4 timmar.

I had had the chance to smell this perfume in Mueller, some department store in Vienna, few days before I flew back home to Indonesia.
This is surely the best scent I’ve ever smelled. I could have forgotten how it exactly smelled like, but I never forget my “Mmmm!!!” moment when i sniffed it on my wrist. Soooo.. pretty! A nice, friendly, caring woman should smell like this I think. Not offensive at all, but very warm and nice, embracing the environment, and definitely got me a nice feeling.
I completely regret not buying it while I could. Here now I wish I could get a bottle…
    UPDATE:
A friend bought me this after his exchange semester in Vienna. Cannot be happier! Love this! It’s a complete keeper though. The fact that this fragrance is discontinued, I of course never want to finish it.
It’s the sensation of the pink pepper and the flowery notes! And Vanilla wrapped it up. Awesome. Just awesome!

I am a romantic at heart, and this is one of the most romantic fragrances I know. It smells “pink” without just smelling like roses. It is not “provoking”, but that does not mean it cannot stir up emotions! For me, it reminds me of the romantic I am inside, the side I rarely show to people.
I find PWLPC quite similar in feeling to Elizabeth Arden’s Pretty and Ralph Lauren’s Romance, and I guess one of those will have to be the replacement when my bottle is emptied, if it is true that it has already been discontinued.

Pure White Linen Pink Coral is very soft, if I could touch it, it would feel like cotton. But the pink pepper gives it a nice sharpness. It’s slightly fresh but it’s not the freshness you usually get from blue fragrances. This is pink freshness, it’s like a morning in a garden full of flowers.
On my skin the flowers tend to be more on the sour side and not sweet. This is nice and light perfume. And what a lovely bottle!

fresh fresh fresh . like a summerwind thrue the garden , the flowers . linger in the air. tha Pink pepper gives it a little kick .. very nice and easy to wear.
I can not smell anything of the Vanilla.

Being simple and clean, Pink Coral is a very nice summer fragrance. It’s wearable, I can’t imagine anyone being offended by it. It’s not groundbreaking, if you’re looking for a unique fragrance, be warned, this is not. But it nice and safe, appropriately fresh and flowery.

The opening is a spicy, floral mess I can’t understand. The pepper makes it smell as if there was cilantro somewhere in there… but I think that is the flowers & pepper combo.
The middle turns soapy and holds that thought for a while…
The drydown is powdery florals. I wish I got some vanilla, but I’m just not able to find it.
I’m glad I got to try it first. I almost bought this blind because it’s found inexpensively. I was looking for a simple, elegant, not-in-the-mood-for-perfume type of fragrance. One that isn’t so bold, like most of my wardrobe tends to be. But I guess I should stick to what is “me” because settling for boring isn’t “me” either.

Thanks to guusje who recomended this to me ( and she really has good taste) I went into the store and tried this one..I did not like the opening much, but in the next 10-15 mins, OMG…just wonderfull..the first feeling I had was that it is so youthfull..happy, warm and cozy..in a word, just wonderful! I had to go back the second day and buy myself a bottle:))

The little seahorse on the bottle is sooo cute i do love this quare puristic bottle and the frosted glass!!! so i had to purchase it unsiffed.
well, to me it didn t smell mutch vanilla. more clean crisp and fresh, flowery and little powdery, not sweet, even maybe a little bit sour… though!?
finally i gave it to my mother in law because i didn t liked it that mutch to use it for me for some lack of a special ‘attitude’.
to me it smells very mature somehow and i’m in my 40’s… don t get me wrong, i don t speak about outdated stuff. it is a nice scent, well done, but it’s just ‘nice’ and something remembered me to the smell of elder ladies than me such as those who do love to wear White Linen and Pleasures… scents of openminded middle-aged lady with good taste in sportiv-elegant clothes, always well dressed and styled.
well my mother in law loves it and it suits her very well indeed! so she kept my bottle.
i m happy now with my cute little mini of it 🙂

How fast perfumes come and go. On the market in ’09 and it is already discontinued this year.
Anyway, about the perfume. This is a sweety floral scent that is fairly noticable. Not too strong, but as you move about your day, you get a nice line of sweetness here and there.
I really like this. After all this time, I am still a floral person. This is floral, a bright and sweet floral at that.
One thing that strikes me is how sanitized these types of perfumes are. There is not a hint of layer or depth here, there is nothing hiding in the composition that will challenge or even–gasp-offend anyone. I guess most like to smell scrubbed and sanitized. I suppose most perfumes today are going to be like this. It is just a sweet floral that will make you smell pretty.

It’s casusal and in the same time elegant, romantic – that’s a good word to describe it. It smells of a beautiful bouquet of flowers – very floral and very delicate.
I wear the original and I can say that it’s the best from all the collecton!

It’s hard for me to understand why anyone might hate EL PURE WHITE LINEN PINK CORAL, for it is an eminently unobtrusive shampoo/conditioner floral frag. This could be safely “gifted”–say, in a workplace “secret Santa” scheme designed to bring the staff together–to basically any acquaintance who washes her hair. And then re-gifted, should the recipient find it too nondescript.
Why, oh why, is this a WHITE LINEN flanker? is the only real question that this composition generates in my mind. The notes are all blended together to form an inoffensive, if banal, blob. So perhaps it does not matter that on the manufacturer-produced card accompanying my sample vial the components are listed as these:
    “sea-kissed apple blossoms”
    “waterfruits”
    sweet peas
“camelias blushed with honeysuckle and sandalwood”
    Say what?

I just bought this perfume today. And like it very much. I have sampled this a few times to make sure I wanted it.
Its a floral perfume with a spicy kick to it. That comes from the pink pepper. it ends in a sweet smell that lasts all day.
One of my fav summer scents

I agree that this one is the best of the collection. I think it’s a lovely fragrance, quite interesting, but it’s too sweet for me. Anyway, if you like clean and sweet fragrances, this could be the right one.

  26. :

The best of the White Linens in my opinion. I find the majority of them sterile, this is more a floral fruity. Nice, not exceptional and a good day fragrance.

Totally boring flanker. Pure White Linen is the only one to bother with.

Went to go and test it today and I LOVE IT! Can’t stop smelling my wrist. Very light and just delicious. Nothing there to offend anyone. Would love to buy it RIGHT NOW, but 30ml will set me back approximately $64.00 (converted from SA Rand.) A little too much 2 days before payday 🙂 A must for floral junkies like me.
It is a month later and I’ve gone to “test” this several times since my original review. As much as I love this fragrance I must now confess that it doesn’t suit my body chemistry. I detect a slightly sour note. As sad as this makes me I’m going to have to let this one go.

it’s one of the best from lauder i smelled 🙂

This fragrance seems to be either a love it or hate it scent.
I personally like it, which is strange because I’m rarely a fan of Estee Lauder scents. Pink Coral is refreshing and delicate. A soapy floral to say the least.
I’m often bothered by Estee Lauder scents being too strong and too synthetic, but Pink Coral is quite light and although not completely natural smelling, it is bearable.
This is a relatively linear fragrance, I didn’t notice much of a change between the opening and the drydown. I find it to be a nice and rather pleasant blend of subdued flowers and a hint of watery freshness. The beachy and Summery aspect conveyed in the advertisement is very true to the fragrance itself.
Not a particularly mind-blowing scent, but pretty none-the-less.

    Eeep! Peaches and lemons!
Sharp and light, great for a washing powder scent, and gone within half an hour. Tempting at the first sniff, a disappointment all the way home!

  34. :

The pink pepper notes are very strong at the begging and carry on after the dry down till the very end, just dominate the whole scent….it is like the smell of dry flowers which is pretty annoying.

gave it a try last weekend and didn’t like it. i don’t know if it’s because i don’d like estee lauder perfumes in general or if this perfume is way to strong… in a cheap way…

A perfect fresh floral for spring and summer. I can also smell a fruity trace within an hour of application. Red, juicy apples. Very long lasting on my skin. Wonderful, clean and crispy.

I totally agree with alicektn. I tried it yesterday and I can’t remember how it smelled anymore because it wasn’t unique at all. Somwhow fresh, fruity, airy and very usual. My expectations were very high since I really appreciate Pure White Linen Light Breeze, but this one is a bit of a disappointment.

I tried it this weekend and I was quite surprised by it. Its a nice smell, somewhat safe and non offensive, perfect for office use.
Its seems to have great syllage and staying power for such a fragrance, a deceptive innocent scent.
I loved the combination of the pink peper and apple blosson on my skin, warmed up by the vanilla and sandalwood.
Perfect gift for Valentine’s day when in doubt…

I had quite an agony to try this scent, since I like Pure white linen a lot. It has been brought somewhat early in my country,so I was able to smell the content of this pretty, classy bottle.
It’s a peaceful scent, from start to finish. I couldn’t detect it’s seperate notes, but I think it’s better described as “Floral fruity”. Not at all similar to Pure white linen.
Anyway, in my opinion it is not a very unique perfume. And certainly not a memorable one. Someone would easily confuse it with something else. It also contains a chemical “note” that annoys my nostrils a little bit. I was rather dissapointed…I don’t want to be a hoodoo, but I believe this is a fragrance that will soon be discontinued.
Of course women who like simple, airy, “clean”, and above all acceptable fragrances, will appreciate it. It’s easy to wear, and non offensive for sure.
