I love this! I’ve bought bottles of it for 10 years. I don’t always have one, but then I’ll buy another. It’s just the most perfect vanilla with a warm musk and the slightest touch of patchouli that you really don’t even know is there, but it just makes it so rounded and perfect. There is also the faintest hint of heliotrope and freesia (don’t buy it for those notes, they’re accents). I think it still smells the same as when it was first released. I haven’t had quite the same love affair with any other perfume. No other vanilla compares in my opinion. It’s not a dessert scent, it’s more of a bourbon vanilla.
It doesn’t keep forever, so I wouldn’t buy a bottle from a discount seller. If anyone is in the states, lately Ulta online has had bottles with super fresh batch codes.

This is a lovely fragrance but I find it a little too overpowering for me, although it is pretty. I used to put a tiny bit on my skin but now I prefer to put a little on clothing, if I have to wear it, because its a big task to wash it off my skin. Even after soaping, it still reeks for about 48 hours. I purchased this as a natural perfume and although it does not contain many bad products that other perfumes do, the manufacturer does not say this is 100% natural, and on their website they list it as containing Nature Identical Oils. You have to click on ingredients and then click Botanical Oil Blend to see this. Natural Identical Oils are man-made in a lab and do not come from a plant (so this contains both artificial vanilla fragrance as well as natural fragrance). Many people mistake this as a 100% natural perfume but this is far from the truth. Personally I prefer a true natural fragrance like Van Der Faun, but I would recommend it as better than most perfumes. I would avoid their Lavender perfume as that one is just plain awful.

Honestly one of my favourite perfumes. It is definitely not a pure vanilla, it is a unique one. It smells like real vanilla beans, mixed with a bit of powder and some patchouli musk to give it a more sexy and a bit of an androgynous feel. Sort of like a much less sweet version of viva la juicy gold.

I thought this was just ok at first, but after wearing it a few times I have noticed that the drydown is really unpleasant to my nose. It actually reminds me of the smell of multivitamins! The opening just smells like straight-up vanilla essence. There is also a weird smokiness which lingers long after all the other notes are gone. I am yet to be impressed by Lavanila scents.

This was my signature scent for a few years, but has been languishing in the back of my collection for a long time now. While I enjoyed smelling like a pastry in my 30s (and enjoyed the compliments from happy people who also like that smell), in my 40s I prefer something more sophisticated. That said, I do still like this scent and others from Lavanila.
I’m wearing Mon Guerlain today and it doesn’t come close. Lavanila stays close to my skin and fades gently, but never completely disappears. Mon Guerlain starts off strong and pretty, but turns powdery and acidic after a while, and stays long after I want it to go. Maybe layering them together is the key?
This “healthy” perfume line never gives me a headache, which Guerlain (one of my favorite lines) often does.

this smells like the more nauseating version of mon guerlain. it’s overwhelmingly “old lady”, and i normally enjoy “older scents”. more powdery plastic-y than true vanilla.

I was surprised when I read through quite a few reviews and very few people mentioned the patchouli in this one. I am not a huge patchouli fan and sadly that was overwhelming the vanilla in this one for me. The patchouli does tone down after a bit but then I get something sharp that hurts my head so I will pass this one on to my son who likes it. It does come across more masculine to me than a lot of vanilla fragrances.

When wearing this perfume, I was told by 3 people that I smelled like a cupcake and one other person said I smelled like a delicious pastry. I was hoping for more of a traditional oriental scent, but am stuck with more of a gourmand scent. Not an entirely bad thing, as it does smell nice and people like the scent, but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

I like that this is not a typical sugary, Bath and Body Works kind of vanilla, but the floral notes in this wind up making it give off a strong baby wipes vibe 🙁 sad because I wanted to love it

This is a lovely, creamy vanilla with a touch of almond. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. I only have a sample and will definitely need to purchase a larger size. I really like this! It’s one of the nicest vanilla fragrances I’ve ever tried.

Simply a stunning vanilla. Powdery and rich. Never cloying but still gourmand. I love that it is natural to boot! This is definitely a fall and winter fragrance in my book. It warms my soul and makes me feel cozy!

Im not sure if I got a bad rollerball. I smell something like medicine or even menthol. My husband said it smells like bug spray. Im sad, I really loved Sweet Craving from VS & I was excited when I saw people thought this was similar. It smells nothing like it to me. It just smells nasty.

  13. :

    4 out of 5

Polite, watery vanilla. A light cookie vanilla, where I don’t get the other notes at all. Still, Pure Vanilla doesn’t smell like “pure vanilla” at all, but it does smell a lot like Vanilla Musk (both of which I like but don’t love). It lacks depth, and with a plethora of other vanillas available, I’m going to let this one pass.

I used this fragrance years back when they invested in a big Sephora launch, maybe circa 2007? It didn’t really hold my interest then and I moved on to other things. Recently I revived a personal quest for a perfect vanilla and decided to purchase another bottle. I was sorely disappointed! Within one use, I knew it wasn’t “the one.” There is definitely a darker note that for me, disturbs the idea of “pure” vanilla. It feels too heavy and clunky, and I had to wash it off within the hour. ‘
As an aside, this product is marketed as being so very natural and healthy, but besides the list of some commonsense ingredients they avoid, the brand overall doesn’t strike me as being truly green in the strictest sense (especially in terms of transparency of ingredients–I know, proprietary yada yada, but if you truly market as being healthy, that info should be disclosed, you guys).
Those looking for a fun summer vanilla may do better with the Lavanila Coconut. I happily wore it for years and have sweeter things to say about that one.

This is not the vanilla I was expecting. I’m not sure if it’s the patchouli that I’m smelling, but this definitely is not the “pure vanilla” I was hoping for, as something else in there is overpowering it for me.
It’s a pleasant scent, and I do detect some sweetness, but I guess it’s just not as “pure” as I was hoping for. I do want to give this company props for using safe/natural ingredients, though!

  16. :

This is my safe scent. When I am not sure where I will end up in my day I choose this one. A creamy vanilla with a hint of powdery softness. I also use this to layer with almost all of my other scents. It mixes so well with everything. This and cup of coffee and I am ready to go. It’s a safe buy and a long lasting scent.

Lovely vanilla sugar! I was hoping for more of a cupcake scent, but this is fantastic too! It’s straight up vanilla bean with just a hint of heliotrope. I love that all the ingredients are natural (even the alcohol is organic)! I can see myself wearing this a lot this winter. It’s not overwhelming in the slightest.
It does smell a fair bit like Lush Vanillary, but I feel comfortable owning both. I blind swapped for this; if I’d known how similar they were I probably wouldn’t have gotten it, but I’ll wear both regardless!

This one is surprisingly good. It’s very well blended and that what I think keeps it from going into the cup cake bakery zone. It has a touch of patchouli but not in the expected way I imagined. This great blending with the floral also is quite interesting to my nose. A grown up vanilla. Makes me want to sample the others as well. Very nice.

My first fragrance of all time. I initially bought this blind, when I decided I wanted a signature scent.
This fragrance has been with me for several years, and still remains my most complimented one, both alone and layered. A soft, powdery vanilla with slight hints of patchouli, this fragrance always lifts my spirits and warms me up in the best way!

  20. :

This is a rich, deep, pure vanilla that’s just about perfect to my nose. It’s my favourite among my collection of twelve vanilla-dominant scents, and IMHO a must-have for vanilla and gourmand lovers.
Lavanila’s complementary notes blend so well that it smells rich and pure at the same time – the way we hear a musical chord as if it were one note, when really it’s comprised of several. I expect it’s the Tonka Bean that provides the primary harmonic of gourmand, edible sweetness.
You can get by with a small bottle because it projects well and lasts many hours on the skin.

I love this vanilla scent, I love that it’s cruelty free and that it smells so comforting. I have the mini rollerball and keep forgetting to use it but today I put it on again after a stressful morning and it was like an instant ahhhh moment. I can’t detect the patchouli at all but that’s ok, I might add a dab of patchouli oil tonight and see how that goes. This would be perfect for layering, in my opinion as it is so soft if applied lightly. Tonka bean and vanilla are such a match made in heaven, and those are pretty much all I can smell in here.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

A lovely vanilla scent that lingers all day. My first impression was that it felt like a sort of simple, straightforward vanilla gourmand (However, gourmand lovers seem disappointed by the lack of sweetness here). The vanilla upstages the subtle floral notes in this one, and I find it very similar to Un Bois Vanille by Serge Lutens – A true, pleasant, and slightly ‘waxy’ vanilla (probably the tonka bean).
It seems like a great perfume for layering with other scents. If you’re seeking a no-nonsense vanilla that is lovely, warm, comforting, and a little delicious, too – be sure to give this one a try. However, if you’re looking to make a statement, this may not be bold enough.

Ok so I really wanted a sensual sexy vanilla perfume and this was not it! but that’s ok I know what it smells like now. I ordered a sample of this which came today. When I put a few dabs on my wrist… I didn’t smell any vanilla at all, it was more this powdery sweet almost musk smell that really irritated my nose and made me sneeze! This I imagine would be prefect for a young virgin woman wanting to smell like something as sweet as honey skipping through the meadows with her straw hat. But I must admit after hours when the smell dies down it does have a little sensual something but still too powdery and innocent.

Vanilla addict over here. Pure Vanilla is the scent I always come back to, especially when I have no idea what to wear. This is my signature, and it took me a while to realize that over everything else I have or tried – this one is tested and true for me. I’ve bought and re-bought over a few years, even before finding this site and expanding my wardrobe.
It’s a warm and cozy, sweet vanilla, but pretty and comfortably powdery. It’s not a pure vanilla extract smell for me. There’s a lovely floral and a powdery edge to it that makes this a slightly more mature fragrance, instead of a teeny bopper cupcake (don’t get me wrong – I love cupcakes!). It’s the slightest bit fresh as well, far far in the background. It’s extremely versatile too – good for crisp fall days, cold snow falls, warm spring walks, and cooler summer nights at the drive in. It goes perfect with casual day time, sexy night time and everything in between.
It’s such an aphrodisiac for me. I wear it when I need a pick me up and I’m instantly enveloped in a sweet and comforting cloud. I use it on my pillow when I want some extra deep sleep and I still catch whiffs of it in the morning. It’s also a huge plus that it’s an ‘all natural’ fragrance without harsh chemicals like phalates, not that I’m into that so much but it’s a nice bonus.
This is my own personal HG and it took me this long to finally come up with a review that could do it justice for what it does for me. It may not be someone else’s cup of tea, but this girl loves it 🙂

The vanilla is nice, but the powder and patchouli is a big turn-off for me. Could be a great scent if you like those notes though.

Jan. 2016 You build your fragrance wardrobe the way you build your clothing wardrobe. Pure Vanila is a staple that needs to be in your collection, just like a string of pearls or the basic dress pump. On its own it is fine. I don’t find it to be a gourmand scent. When I smell this, I think more herb/ flower, not confectionery.
I like to use PV to layer with other fragrances, to give them a different facet, dimension.
COMBO NOTE: Today I paired it with Tory Burch. The PV wraps around the citrus and florals of TB like a cuddly blanket.

    Luxurious Vanilla!
It’s sweet yet clean vanilla. Not pure as in “there’s just vanilla” because there is so much more. It’s purely vanillic but not pure vanilla. It’s pure as in clean. No syrupiness. There is a happy hippy feeling from patchouli and the freshness from musk, freesia flowers and tonka beans make this whole thing luxurious. I hugely recommend this scent for any vanilla-lover! Usually I prefer Vanillas that are little bit sweet and little bit sugary and mostly smell like vanilla beans. But this kind of pure vanilla is really nice alternative.
I use both Spray and the Roll-On version of this but I must say the spray is first somewhat “harsh”, and not in an aldehydic way but an alcohol-ish way. In a few minutes it’s the same as the roll on, but the roll on somehow is perfect from the get go.
The price is great. Ingredients high quality.
The sillage with vanillas usually is not that big but somehow this one manages to have a great one! Maybe it’s because of the tonka beans and musk.
    Longevity is amazing.
    10/10

Not a simple vanilla extract scent as the name suggests. Naturally, as I do not like vanillic perfumes without oriental or floral notes. It is powdery, slightly soapy. The most dominant notes are sugary vanilla and sensual patchouli.
If you like scents that leave a trail behind you and linger wherever you have been this is a scent to seriously consider. This is impressively strong! Fills up a whole room. When it leaves the room it leaves a big sillage trail on whatever path the wearer happens to take that lasts several minutes even when the person wearing it is no longer in sight. Obviously requires little application. Very easy to overdo.
I’ve noticed within the past year this scent has grown in popularity. I’ve noticed it more and more on women as they walk past or at my work place.

Omg, I recieved a small rollon bottle in my Ipsy bag this month and I love this scent. It is the best high class smelling vanilla scent that I’ve tried yet. Most vanilla scents seem to smell of vanilla and coconut and very powdery “on me at least” but this one is exotic smelling and it has a wonderful staying power, I can smell it the next morning on the top that I wore the night before, and this after only a few “touches of the roller to my neck and cleavage” I usually dislike Patchouli but in this scent I’m not getting that, only the amazing scent of an extremely “Pure Vanilla” I will buy this scent and I am so happy that I got to try it out via Ipsy.

Disappointed. Smells cheap, reminds me of Jovan white musk, which is a drug store perfume. I probably will never do a blind buy again.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

If you enjoy gourmands, but don’t want something too cloying or sugary (like Aquolina Pink Sugar or Britney Spears Fantasy), then I totally recommend Pure Vanilla. It’s a more grown up gourmand, but it still smells delicious.
The vanilla and the patchouli are the stars of the show in this fragrance, in my opinion. The vanilla smells more like vanilla extract than it does a cupcake (but that tonka bean still makes the vanilla smell creamy), and the patchouli adds a very powdery quality to the fragrance. The white florals in this, though, prevent the patchouli from becoming overpowering. Patchouli tends to have a “bite,” but that bite isn’t present in this fragrance. Because of the white florals, the patchouli actually smells more like white musk on my skin, which adds a clean and fresh burst to the perfume.
If I had to sum up Pure Vanilla with fewer words, I’d say that it smells like vanilla extract with white musk. That might not sound so appealing to some people, but I think the combination totally works. It’s sweet, creamy, feminine, and clean.
The longevity of the perfume is quite good as well: It lasts a good 6 hours on my skin before I feel the need to reapply it.
As for when to wear this perfume, I think it’s best for Fall, Winter, and early Spring.

  32. :

I am not sure I’m completely sold on this. I generally love patchouli but something about this perfume sits not quite right on my skin. I do use it to layer underneath other perfumes and I adore the smell of the solid stick deodorant much more than the perfume spray.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

I have a little rollerball of pure vanilla and WOW! approach this one with caution. It smells lovely when applied extremely sparingly, a dot on each side of the neck, perhaps, but apply a bit too much and you’ll find yourself nauseated and begging for air. The sillage of this (on me, at least) is shocking.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

This is so nice. I really love vanilla, but I prefer it to smell natural, rather than like cupcakes. That’s why I love this one so much. It’s soft, yet smells so great on my skin. It also lasts forever. I can go all day without needing to reapply. Another great thing about this. I love layering this with other things to give them a little more depth, but really this works just as well on its own. I only have the rollerblading right now, but I’ll definitely be getting a FB soon.
    Keep shining, you beautiful people!

I love this scent. It is like a comforting hug! Pure natural vanilla scent with less sugar….love it!

This was the first perfume I’ve ever purchased. Vanilla makes me happy, and like a previous reviewer mentioned, the first perfume I’ve tried that didn’t aggrivate my asthma or allergies. When I wore it, someone would always mention I smelled like a vanilla or chocolate chip cookie. Fun!
Now that gourmond fragrances have been become more popular, I’ve graduated to other equally sweet fragrances. But sometimes I still pull it out to wear. If it wasn’t for the slightly nauseating patchouli (it wears off after the first 20min), it’s probably all I’d use.

As a lover of vanilla and natural products, I was excited and curious, due to the mixed reviews I’ve read, to add this fragrance to my collection. Especially since I was able to snag the lotion and a 1 oz. on eBay for $22! Sorry, I digress…I love a good deal. 😉
The bottle I received did not have clear liquid. It was a light golden brown. This is normal for all perfumes that have actual, not synthetic, vanilla, so I knew that was normal. When I sprayed it, I got a fair amount of an alcohol smell, that very quickly dissipated leaving only a warm, lovely, pure vanilla. I also love that this is the perfect layering perfume, if you are looking to sweeten, or smooth out the edges of any other perfumes you may have. It smelled so good with Coconut Passion by Victoria’s Secret. I’m wearing that combination right now, and it smells delectable! All in all, I’d say Lavanila did an amazing job making an au naturale vanilla. 🙂
This is for those curious about the ‘Pure Vanilla’ LOTION: When I opened the tube and smelled the lotion, I literally smelled nothing. I squeezed some out, and rubbed it into my skin. Nothing. I was so bummed. Here’s where it gets strange. I’ve never had a scented lotion do this before. After about 15 seconds, the lotion transformed, and I got that warm, sweet vanilla I was looking for! I’ve been wearing it now for over an hour, and it’s still going strong. I’m so glad I can layer this with the perfume!

This, layered with Kenzo Amour on a rainy day… perfection.
I think I’ve already commented about how I like to wear this to bed because it’s so warm and comforting. Today, I decided to layer it with a scent that I’ve found quite difficult to wear lately. I love Kenzo Amour, but it’s been dusty on my skin. This Vanilla tempered it down and rounded out the heliotrope perfectly, rendering an almost wasted perfume now salvageable.

Started off as a cross between Pink Sugar and Flowerbomb but later reminded me more of Atelier Vanille. Very yummy, light, and long lasting. A keeper.

This one is waaayyyy too sweet on my skin.

  41. :

To me: a very generic, artificial, powdery vanilla.
    That’s it.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

A warm, straightforward vanilla that I just want to roll around in. I especially love it on a cold day or at bedtime, though it’s also suitable for everyday, the office, or even a date if you want something romantic yet down-to-earth (many men seem to love vanilla on a woman). It’s also perfect for layering.
Beware of the lotion though; it smells nothing like the scent! I got a huge dose of fruity something-or-other that was just sickening and hard to wash off.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

This isn’t pure vanilla but it is wonderful. It’s a powdery scent with a subtle but noticable hint of vanilla. I prefer this to overly vanilla smells. A lot of time they make them so sickenenly sweet that I can’t enjoy vanilla. This is nice and mellow. A real woman’s smell. I’ll be getting a big bottle of this as I can see myself wearing this anytime forever.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

This layers nicely with other gormand scents. I’ve also used it to warm up a few white florals, so it has a place due to that.
Alone it isn’t terribly complex. A warm simple vanilla.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

I was so excited when I bought this today. I could hardly get out of the store to try it on. But my excitement quickly faded, unfortunately.
Maybe I got a mislabeled item? It smells nothing like the notes listed here. I get a whole lot of musk and a little bit of vanilla. No heliotrope, no tonka bean…. nothing but musk and a smidgen of vanilla sigh!
It will be going in my swap list 🙁

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Pure Vanilla is a wonderful comfort scent. Powdery heliotrope, squeaky clean freesia and a big dash of tonka bean (coumarin) modify the monolithic vanilla accord into something that smells very akin to a plastic doll’s head (in a good way!). I am a huge patchouli fan and can’t for the life of me detect the slightest hint of it in this perfume, which is just fine with me. A great bang for your buck fragrance, IMO.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

It’s very plain to me, it’s one dimensional vanilla. I guess if you’re layering it with other fragrances you could really get something nice out of it. It’s nice to wear during cold day, I find the vanilla to be very warming and comforting. It’s a gentle and unoffensive scent that I think everyone can agree with.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Does anyone know if this was reformulated? I had a sample I got a couple years ago and the description on it was: Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean and rich heliotrope, now I have it in a mini rollerball set and the description is: Madagascar vanilla, sheer freesia and tonka bean. Unfortunatly I cannot compare them because my sample is long gone.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I am sampling this on myself right now, and I didn’t like it initially. It smelled too much of smoky patchouli on me. Ten minutes later, I’m getting the vanilla and I like it! Will update after I leave it on and it goes away.
Update: Overall, this is a like from me. Lasting power: about 7 hours, sillage is low to moderate. Sometimes I liked it, sometimes not (when the patchouli was dominant). This definitely isn’t a ‘pure vanilla’- it’s more a foody vanilla with a patchouli scent, so don’t be fooled by the name!

I tried this today, just for fun, and I was so surprised when I started to smell a watered down Angel!! It is softer and a little bit sweeter than Angel, but definitely similar. I actually like it better, since Angel takes a while to smell good on me.

  51. :

I have the rollerball of this. Its beautiful! When I wear it, I’m delighted by the vanilla wafting by me every so often. There is a definitely patchouli. This scent lasts hours.
Most of the la vanilla scents smell very similar, as in they share the same ‘spirit’ of the scent. If you enjoy this, you might like all the others by La vanilla.

As I am re-learning to love vanillas, after a many year hiatus, I tried this one, thanks to a frangrantican who gave me a sample. Given the reviews and the company’s reputation, I had hoped this would be another winner. Alas, this was very unpleasant on my skin. It smelled sybthetic and cheap on me. Not devastating since I did find some great vanillas. This just isn’t one of them for me.

  53. :

I have been using this as my signature scent for over a year now. It is my favorite vanilla ever. I am constantly getting compliments on it. I even have a friend who loves to borrow my clothes just to smell the residual of this scent.
It has excellent staying power. After wearing and rehanging a garment, I can usually pull it out a week later and still smell it.
Additionally, my mom has pretty severe asthma and respiratory issues and this is the ONLY perfume I have ever been able to wear around her that does not bother her.
I have also used the perfume and it is fantastic as well!

  54. :

    5 out of 5

I know a lot of people wear this, but it’s not for me. It’s very masculine in my opinion. There’s a TON of cedar and lime in this that don’t seem to be listed here, and they give it a bracing “aftershave” quality. It definitely does smell like vanilla, but I’d be more likely to use it as a room spray than on myself.

  55. :

Yé! I found the vanilla that fits with me, even as conscience is concerned!
I bought the roller-ball today, mainly because I wanted to encourage a company that limits hazardous chemicals in perfume.
Of course I tried the 4 samples in the store: both listing Grapefruit or Lavender with the vanilla base were too harsh; the one with coconut was sickening to me. I’m happy I bought Pure vanilla: NO detestable change on my skin, even after 3 hours. Natural ingredients might be the clue. They’ve blended it with tonka bean and freesia, the latest being undetectable to me…
Thanks, Zenbabylove, for the tip of the website: they happen to deliver in my country. I’ll certainly give a try on non-toxic products that smell so good.

I already love this in the spray but I ordered the forever fragrance oil in pure vanilla from the lavanila website and it’s on a whole other level of perfection!!
Imagine real vanilla pods seeped in honey melting on your skin for hours…
Plus, the rollerball of oil fits in your bag for easy touch-ups! I suggest ordering from their website because they provide free purse spray samples.

Pure Vanilla just like the name says. Rich, creamy, edible, long lasting. Beautiful!

I do love vanilla, but this was disappointing for me. Not the rich, full vanilla I was expecting: thin and synthetic smelling with an odd note which might have been patchouli but I couldn’t really identify.
Maybe this works better on a skin that doesn’t absorb scent. Not for me: i do recommend you test before buying.

I got the rollerball today at Sephora.
I like that it’s very long lasting and smells like vanilla extract.
This layers well with their vanilla grapefruit!

I was so excited to try this because of all the rave reviews. I really like the smell of vanilla but this does not smell like vanilla to me. It smells like a cheap plug in air freshener. I’m glad I tried it before buying.

Oh my god, I tried this at Sephora finally and I’m in love! It smells amazing! So much more sexy and complex than your average vanilla frag!! Wow. It really reminded me of something else, but couldn’t figure it out. I want this and vanilla spice!! Love it

Tried this perfume today at Sephora. To me, it smelled exactly like Palmer’s Coco Butter. No thanks for me.

Affordable HG pure vanilla right here. it smells uncannily of vanilla cake batter. So comforting and uplifting. It’s vanilla heaven!
Like the last reviewer, I detect no patchouli. NONE. The brightness of the opening reminds me of the bergamot and woods of Atelier Cologne’s Vanille Incensee, but this impression quickly fades as a true vanilla emerges in the heart.
Pure Vanilla is simple, sweet and lactonic, natural-smelling and playful; a straight vanilla which is then highlighted and structured by the freesia.
Before, I thought that just maybe I had found the perfect straight vanilla with Molinard’s Vanille, but that one was way more powdery, with a jarring alcoholic blast in the opening, and it was thinner, and more crunchy/sugary (superb for layering though).
Lavanila is the one for me. Any time of day, any time of year. Good projection and longevity. Maybe on you it will read differently, of course. I can’t believe this but I’m going to say it anyway: Search… OVER!
Thank you so much to Agent J for gifting me a mini-spray of this. You are awesome!

I really like this perfume. It is a bit powdery, but apparently I really like that, in fact, I love powdery scents. This is a very pleasant fragrance, very long lasting, sweet, without being sickeningly sweet; powdery without being overpowering. This may not be for everyone, but it just may be my favorite at the moment.
I do have one question. The Lavanila website makes no mention of patchouli being in the Pure Vanilla. It states “The Perfect Vanilla. This sensual blend of Madagascar vanilla, soft freesia and rich heliotrope is created by natural perfumers who use only the finest pure essential oils. More vanilla bean than vanilla cookie, this skin-saving scent is a must-have for any vanilla connoisseur.” Is there actually patchouli in this? I am not picking it up if it’s in there. I love it no matter what’s in it; but I am just curious.

I adore vanilla scents but this perfume is not for me. It is extremely powdery and reminds me of Secret Powder Fresh deodorant. Strangely, I couldn’t even smell the vanilla in it. I ended up giving it to my mom, and she absolutely loves it.

This is one of the best straight up vanilla scents, if that’s what you’re looking for, in my opinion! Very nice! I can also smell the freesia which I love : )

Cant get enough! This is my go to fragrance, my favorite vanilla- its not synthetic or plastic smelling like vanillas often are. This is a deep rich vanilla, in my opinion it is powdery and slightly masculine. I feel the masculine aspect pairs well with the sweetness, maturing it and preventing it from being sickeningly sweet as some vanillas are. I also appreciate the simplistic and symmetrical bottle design. Absolutely love this one.

So lovely! Except it left me wanting more!!! For me, it offers almost zero sillage. I think only a couple others reviewed it as weak, too. Is it our body chemistry?? I’m unhappy that it didn’t move me as I had expected it to.

Way too much flower smell and other complications upon first spray…almost no vanilla; and of what there is, it is drowned out by this other business.
Later there is a dry down of just vanilla, but getting through the other mania of scents just makes it not worth it for me, sadly. Still in search o
