Description

Oriental-floral fragrance, launched in 2006 as a modern and playful magical elixir. It celebrates youth and femininity in its top notes that bring the aquatic nuances with pure and sharp notes of water lily, apple, freshly-sweet mandarin and apricot.

The heart is composed of exotic guava, Tiare flower, tuberose, with a touch of dark chocolate. The base brings powdery traces of vanilla, amber and wood.

The bottle looks like a heart-shaped jewel, very fine and elegant, a symbol of magical charm and romantic in lilac tones. The fragrance comes as Eau de Toilette in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.

Princess was created by Ilias Ermenidis and Harry Fremont.

I really don’t like it. To me this just smells harsh. The only scent I like about it is the chocolate but to me it’s not noticeable enough and is overpowered by this really alcoholic type smell that isn’t appealing. It gave me a headache too. There are many perfumes I’d prefer to this one.

When i was in college my freshman dorm roommate bathed her entire body in exactly twelve sprits of this every morning. She was the worst.
It is a real testament to this fragrance that i still think fondly of it when i catch a passing whiff somewhere.

I was shopping for the Princess Noir and I happened across the tester for this, I sprayed it on myself as I was perfume free (for perfume shopping so I can do that/this) while having in my hand Noir which I loved when I first smelled it and wearing OG Princess, I wandered around the store for 30 mins and fell in love with the feminine smell and the feeling of humanity (is that even a word). I am wearing it as I write and the same beautiful sweet yet floral notes the captivated me are making me smile 😀
It just smells like heaven to me. AHHHH I will get better at reviews and update this one day 😀 But the notes above live up, Vanilla with a hint of dark choc, floral and a little fruity.
It lasts well on my skin, giving me 3hour of good silage and dying down around 7 hours to a skin scent

I own over 50 bottles of perfume, many of them niche or high end, and yet my 100ml bottle of Princess is already half empty. That says something. She’s sweet, but not cloying, thanks to a generous underpinning of aquatic notes. Be warned though, the chocolate might not come through on you. It definitely doesn’t on me. Instead, I get pleasant, but generic honeydew-and-vanilla kind of sweetness.
Princess lasts through the office day, has reasonable projection, but won’t choke anyone coming in for a hug. If I had fewer frags, I’d definitely repurchase. I think Princess is a classic “quality white T-shirt” kind of scent. Very versatile, which some might read as “boring”, but I don’t mind.

At first sniff, I was kinda meh, but it quickly grew on me! Princess is a beautiful, flirty, mischievous fragrance. It would be good for a date or night out at the club. It’s floral, subtly sweet, the fruit notes give it a bit of sparkle, and the dark chocolate adds that mischievous depth. I don’t feel it’s too “little girlish” at all, as some have mentioned. Imo, this perfume screams fun, sexy, and mischief!

This is absolutely beautiful, I am already on my third bottle, I prefer this during fall and spring, I am not a fan of super sweet scents but this is perfectly well balanced, the chocolate notes with the vanilla are to die for, mixed with the creamy yet fresh guava with that water lily giving it a light crisp twist, at the end the wood and amber appears and lingers in harmony with the chocolate, guava, and tiare flower! Lasts about 5-8 hours.

A wonderful fragrance! It’s sweet, just how I like it! I can definitely smell the cacao and vanilla scents in there. The delicate flowers definitely add a freshness to it so that it’s not too heavy. It also has some beautiful packaging!

Well, after reading some of these reviews, I guess it makes perfect sense that I wore this for my wedding back in 2008! I recently bought another bottle for the nostalgia. I feel the scent might be a bit young for me now, but I love it anyway!

This, in the early 2000s, was what all the cool kids in Year 7&8 wore (along with Marc Jacobs’ Daisy and Lola). I didn’t enjoy that time much but the perfume still smells of pure nostalgia.
I get loads and loads of sugar in this, particularly vanilla, but it’s fresher rather than warmer. I probably wouldn’t wear this now but it’s an instantly-recognisable scent, near-iconic because of just how ubiquitous I remember it being.

Princess is a a powdery chocolate when I first spray it,followed by a floral scent reminiscent of Charlie- a perfume my mom wore in the nineties. In the winter it smells like that for the duration. But.. In the summer… It starts out like that but after it settles it smells like marshmallows and sweet flowers. Sweet, but not saccharine. It’s surprisingly much nicer in warmer weather! And on me this stays strong for 6 to 8 hours with a moderate throw

I get wedding cake vibes from this, which is probably why I think it would be nice on a bride. It’s not harmful in the slightest, just sweet goodness. Evokes positivity.

This is one of the first perfumes I ever bought for myself and subsequently one of the only perfumes I have ever finished a bottle of. On me, this is sweet, powdery chocolate. I do t know how this gourmand manages to be so light and airy but it is one of my all time favorites. It doesn’t last long and isn’t very imposing so it won’t last you all day or anything but I still love this.

Got this one without a sniff on deal from Nordstrom rack. It’s really nice to start, mellow and sweet… but after 20 mins or so I can barely smell it lingering on my clothes. I wanted to love her but the smell is so soft on my skin I can barely detect it. Which may be great for some, but I’m usually looking for long lasting and more va-va-voom!
Wouldn’t buy again, but the bottle is stinkin cute 😉

My son just gave me a bottle of this on his return from work, no fuss, just, “Do you want this?” On first spray I thought it would be too sweet and youthful for me (I’m 50 and very much a chypre/leather type of girl), but now it’s settled the warmth, chocolate, vanilla and amber have wrapped me up in a little scented bubble of heaven. I said at first that is was so pretty and thanked him delightedly, but I must let him know how much I adore it.

Trm2008, you gave such a lovely review… and welcome! To me, princess is an innocent and fun powdery chocolate that smells surprisingly mature. I read somewhere that the perfume’s creator, Vera Wang, made this perfume in honor of her daughter-which explains the youthful vibe of the bottle. I really like this perfume. It’s unusual in a good way, and it seems to be a scent that lots of people enjoy. So glad I added it to my collection!

  19. :

    Wow.
This is SO sweet and SO beautiful!
It’s an aquatic gourmand that opens with apricot, chocolate and aquatic notes.
It sounds like a very weird combination but it’s beautiful
The aquatic notes is what separates it from being a typical gourmand to a refreshing, juicy concoction
I have a tiny dabber bottle so if I were to come across a large sprayer bottle for a reasonable price I will definitely buy it.

Princess is like walking past a LUSH store that is burning sweet incense just inside the door.

  24. :

Just bought it at a bargain price. Had it and wore it all the time as a teenager in high school, more than 10 years ago. I loved it then, and it made me feel really grown up and fancy and posh, and like a real fashionista compared to other girls my age who wore Britney Spears. Teenagers are horrible 🙂
When I got it yesterday, I had not smelled or worned it for like a decade so I was so intrigued to see how it would smell on me. My guess was that it would feel childish and too sweet, as my taste in pretty much everything – including perfumes – have changed a lot the last ten years. But nope – it was instant love again. Like a long lost friend or lover who finally shows up again after all these years, but the connection is instantly hooked again.
It romantically also reminds me of being young at heart – I wore this when I met my first real boyfriend, who later turned out to me my beloved husband.
The bottle is not as posh and fancy now, but still cute and fun.
I never really got any vanilla from it, on me it was – and is – mainly a chocolate covered guava, with som underlying white flowers, whereas tuberose stands out especially.
Great projection, last for ages, sweet, pleasant, feminine. A classic that I think I will always love.

  25. :

I had this and loved it when I was a little girl, and it really surprises me to look at these notes now. Whenever I wore it, I only smelled clean, creamy, white fresh flowers (waterlily, tiare, tuberose) and some kind of watermelon clean fruit smell (guava and apple,) with a little citrus (mandarin orange.) There was absolutely no chocolate or vanilla on me whatsoever. If those two notes were there on me, I would have hated it. And I have always wanted to try the Preppy Princess version of this, which looks like an even fresher fruity-floral type.

All I can say about this is cute, cute, cute! The bottle is cute, the juice coloring is cute, and the scent on my skin is sooo cute! This is a light scent on me and I am so happy for it to be in my rotation. I will not let her go until she is all gone.
The opening of apricot and apple are a joy. The guava and chocolate middle are adorable and the amber and wood finish is always one of my favorite finishes.
This is a perfect layering scent for this cold Chicago winter day in Febuary. Today I have this on all over and just a smidgen of E&J Nervana Rose and E&J Nervana Burbon on each wrist.
I am enjoying a very lovely mix of scents in my office this morning.

I recently acquired a bottle of this. There’s something in the notes that I did not Care for. I could not figure it out until now, I smell watermelon candy! I hate melon scents. So of course that was a turn-off. Looking at the notes, I think it is the water lily and the Apple that are giving me that sense of watermelon. The weather is very cold right now. I will try this again when it gets warmer.

Second review. After 11 years of knowing and having a love-hate relationship with Princess, I took a much-needed break from her. 5 years. I had begun to think, ugh it’s basic, it doesn’t last, I wore it all through high school. I need a change.
But a few weeks back my best friend and I saw it on a tester display and laughed about how much we loved it when it first came out, and how we doted on it all throughout high school. I admitted I kinda missed it and wanted to give it another chance for nostalgia’s sake. For Christmas, she surprised me with a bottle!
Today I wore it for the first time in half a decade. Not much has changed, but I have a fresher perspective on it. When Princess was first released, it was more of a lighter, watery sweet perfume and had some pretty decent longevity and silage. It was also incredibly expensive. Nowadays, it’s $30 for 100ml. The longevity has been sacrificed and so has the silage, but the scent remains for the most part unchanged.
Princess, on my skin, is a vanilla scented water lotus with a drizzle of apricot and guava juice. The chocolate note is more noticeable these days in current formulations and gives it a very nice sweet aroma of melted Cadbury fondue towards the end of the scent. When I think of Princess, it is in no way a gourmand to me. it doesn’t remind me of bakery treats or food at all. It’s just a gorgeously, watery sweet, sugary drink.
I haven’t exactly fallen back in love with her just yet, but she sure does put a smile on my face!

Completely agree with the review below. This is like a weird, powdery chocolate. I have a pretty rollerball I received as a gift, but I think I’m going to have to scrub it off and give it away. 🙁
Edit: Dry down is nice, but it takes too long to get there.
Edit 2: I don’t know if it’s because I’m sick, but it’s growing on me, lol.

Kinda smells like chocolate and grape cool aid.
I honestly didn’t really like it. It smells a little too elderly to me. It’s such a shame tho because the bottle is so pretty. I just don’t understand the hype at all. The reviews must be from a lot of older women. I don’t see how everyone keeps saying it’s more for a younger girl because it smells so mature. I was expecting something a lot more soft and floral.

  33. :

Princess is definitely ‘nice’ smelling, it smells absolutely beautiful in spring, it’s 28 degrees where I live, and tonight I didn’t feel like cooking at home, so I thought I’d grab dinner outside, I left home around 6pm and sprayed at least 8-9 spritz of this, drove for 25 minutes, walked into the Chinese restaurant & before I got to the front counter , the female workers first words were “your perfume smells nice” , I smiled and thanked her…
Princess is a pleaser in warm weather, in the afternoon of course 🙂
Longevity: it’s been 4 hours since I’ve had it on, she’s still there.

For some reason this perfume just smells divine on my skin. I’ve had the hardest time in the world finding a signature better than this- and have yet to. It’s so weird because most of everything else smells gross and cloying on me. I cannot for the love of me, wear any kind of talc or citrus smells, even lavender at times smells like dirt on me. Dior’s Poision? Sours on my skin with sickly sweet almond and talc. Aqualina’s Sugar? Becomes superficial pure sugar. Gross.
For me, (I say ‘me’ because skin chem. plays a huge role in perfume wearability), this stuff is like wearing a high end designer perfume. It’s delightfully complex, and oh so quietly beautiful.
I always get stopped and asked what I’m wearing when I wear this. It first comes out as sweet and fruity with white florals, then dries down to an amazing combination of wood, amber, and white musk elements with a touch of vanilla.
Wearing this in the spring or winter is the best.
I seriously don’t mean this to sound egotistical but I’ve gotten plenty of positive reactions from guys. One guy told me it smelled like “some kind of forbidden flower- intoxicating” lol I’ve never ever been told this perfume was “overbearing” or “too much”- and I bathe in it before I leave for work lol
If I douse myself in this and wait 30 minutes before going out, as soon as I start giving greeting hugs I get constant compliments. I adore this scent- it’s perfect. I just wish I could find something better because I’m just itching for something new. It’s not immature on me- but it’s not even close to smelling like an old lady. I feel like it really fits my age group (20s). No one seems to really be able to describe the smell to me when I wear it (I’ve asked). I usually just get “you smell really really good”.
I personally think the longevity is lacking, but apparently people have been able to smell it on me long past the point I stop smelling it (nose blind I assume). Then again, on my clothes it lasts ALL day and then some.
In the winter I combine this with Mariah Carey’s Original M and it becomes an amazing smoky white floral and spice bomb iced with vanilla.
If spicy perfumes tend to work for you moreso than sweet/talc perfumes I would say give this a go (especially if you have oily skin, as those sweet perfumes will just melt into grossness)- you may be pleasantly surprised. You can easily pick this up at a Marshall’s/TJMaxx and or Ebay for cheap.

This is a soft, musky fragrance with nuances of chocolate, vanilla, and guava mostly. Just because it is soft though doesn’t mean it does not project well. This lasts a long time on my skin and although it is a subtle fragrance (not loud), it is very much there like a cloud hugging your body. It’s very cozy to me and better suited for cooler weather. It layers very well with Angel EDT or EDP!
To my nose, this is not a purple scent, but more of a light cream color (beige kind of). The bottle may trick people into expecting a purple floral, but this is a light gourmand to me. It does have a young vibe to it, but doesn’t mean people should limit themselves to wearing it at any age. If you don’t like musk, you won’t like this. It also is sweet, but the musk balances it out.
I enjoy the bottle that I have but I probably won’t repurchase. 🙂 I wouldn’t mind if someone gifted it to me, however, and I would wear it. I actually do find it a little unique and underrated.

Princess is a lovely understated fragrance. The vanilla is quite pronounced on me but it is nicely balanced with chocolate… mmmm.
Great for casual get togethers or just general weekend wear. I would wear it to the office but it is not sophisticated enough to wear on dates or for more formal occasions or anywhere where I would like to make an impression.

  37. :

so delicate and vanilla smelling BEAUTY!
not an overpowering floral once it settles.
HAS A VERY STRONG SMELL OF ALCOHOL AT FIRST – don’t be put off by that, like a fine wine it must breathe.
great longevity, not overpowering sillage. elegant for late teens early 20’s or for an older lady who likes to feel young again.
    doesn’t take itself too seriously.

  38. :

Very nice chocolately smelling fragrance. Not as strong as I would like it, so that was the reason why I went through my big bottle so fast as I kept on spraying it one me as the lasting power is not that long. But still would highly recommend it if you are a gourmand lover. At the time I was wearing this a lot, I was working in Auckland so whenever I get a chance to sniff this potion again it brings back the memories of this city.

so, i just got this in a swap. from the reviews, i was expecting something very vanillic, chocolatey sweet gourmand with some fruit or floarl. but mainly a gourmand. it’s not what i was expecting, however
i should have known, as Princess used to be my best friends signature when we were around 18 or 19. my memory of it was a very powdery scent, floral, and def some kinda strange note (now I recognize that note to be the guava.) so i knew already it wasn’t super sweet vanilla gourmand. but my tastes have changed sooo much since then. things smell completely different to my late 20’s nose.. i tend to pick up chocolate more now days, as well as anything sweeet.
Princess i can’t figure out. the dry down is absolutely gorgeous though. you just gotta deal with it until it gets to that point. it dries down very fresh spicy on me.. i guess that’s the guava. powdery, dark chocolatey, and white floral watery. not smelling any vanilla at all, so I’m a little bummed. But..
all in all, i quite like it. i’m rocking it at work today and it seems to be great for this kind of setting. Oh..and.. i freakin love the bottle! It’s adorable. i think it’s really nice, actually. i also don’t find the perfume to be childish or little “girly” like what so ever. this is pretty strong and has very strong sillage.. strong guava.. just strong notes in general. I’ve never been around a teenie bopper wearing a scent like this. but whatever
Update: ok, im really starting to lovve it! Definitely feeling the “summery gourmand” everyone speaks of now. Very nice. I feel bad for the prejudice against this poor perfume, lol.

  40. :

How I wanted to like Princess…but I simply can’t 🙁 I like gourmand type of scents, but in this one on my skin guava ruins everything. At the beginning it’s nice cocoa with some flowers, but after that it turns to something sour and disgusting. No vanilla, no cocoa, nothing just screechy sourness.
If someone wants to swap just pm me (Europe only).

Princess is a cute, girly, playful fragrance. I would see myself wearing this casually, just when I don’t want to wear a perfume that makes a statement, but i still want to smell nice. On me I can smell the vanilla, light florals and some chocolate. The chocolate note keeps it from becoming too boring. It’s pleasant and warm. Safe choice for a gift.

  42. :

This is one of my Friday/weekend scents — a more youthful, playful fragrance. It actually has a long staying power on me, and I find it to be less soft than others on here have described it. I don’t consider it a sticky sweet—it actually is more musky and watery on me.

  43. :

I adored princess when it came out 10 years ago. I don’t know if it’s because I’m older or maybe my perfume taste has evolved, but I don’t really like it anymore. I don’t hate it, but I just don’t see me wearing it. I get mainly chocolate, guava and a hint of water Lily. I like water Lily and guava but I don’t think I like chocolate in fragrances anymore.

This was one of my favourite perfumes about a decade ago. Made me feel very grown up because i owned a huge 100ml bottle of vera wang. I cant remember what i paid for it but i know as soon as i smelt it i had to have it. It started off floral on me then i can remember it was just vanillaey chocolate. I just couldnt stop smelling it. Looking back now i have matured in my sense of smell and this was suitable for me as teenager early 20s.very nostalgic.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

This scent is young, kind and inoffensive. I’d like to wear this on casual days. It’s not truly chique but it’s elegant enough to be called a princess. The notes are very well balanced. The flowers and fruits are fresh in the beginning but they don’t dominate like they do in most young scents. It’s refined. The vanilla and amber add some softness and warmth without making it too mystical. It’s not a warm perfume; it’s medium. The chocolate makes it more interesting. I like the hint of dept it gives while the perfume stays true to it’s innocence. It’s sweet and cute without being too boring.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

I always wanted this but since my collection counts already over 400 perfumes, I dont buy those who I dont really adore…I just like it, ist nice but kinda too juvenille to me, so I would wear it only around the house…I tried to layer three perfumes which I already own – Yves Rocher Moment de Bonheur LÉau (apple) + Jennifer lopez Love & Glamour (guava)+ Naomi Campbell Queen of Gold (chocolate) and voila I have a perfect dupe of princess. I dont like an yof those Perfume alone, since their are all too boring linear to me – too apply, too guavy, too chocolately, respectively. But together they are very delicious and complex and very close to Princess. just saying… 😉

  47. :

    4 out of 5

At one point I loved this scent. The longer I had it the more it became boring to me. It’s likable but I wouldn’t buy it myself again. I’d still wear it as a gift or for free. Non chemical or offensive smell but nothing special. Also there is something really immature and average about it.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

This is a very basic warm and sweet fragrance. I don’t smell any fruit or any chocolate. Or even any floral really for that matter. To me this is kind of like a fresh sugar cookie. It’s kind of plain, yes, but it can be really satisfying in the right mood. This isn’t really gourmand or a strong vanilla fragrance. This lasts a while on clothes and is just ok on skin. It’s super cheap so i don’t regret buying it but I doubt I would repurchase. I think this could be appropriate for pretty much any age. It’s not overwhelming. It’s just very soft, in every sense of the word. Appropriate for work. Good for a quiet date.

  49. :

I know this scent was aimed at the teenager-ish market but I am in my 30s and happily wear this! For me this opens with a big blast of vanilla then settles into more of a fruity sweet scent with a hit of the rich chocolate – kind of reminds me of some kind of sweet chocolate and vanilla dessert which I really like! This also takes me back to when I was in my very early 20s circa 2005 when lots of girls wore this around college but I waited for the trend to pass before getting it!
This would be a good work scent as its not offensive (unless you spray in close proximity to a colleaue!) and is very feminine and fun.
Ironic that this is lilac as this is what I imagine the colour lilac to smell like – if colours can even have smells lol!
Only negative is the lasting power – I only get about 3-4 hours out of this!

  50. :

One of my ride or die fragrances!!! It just makes me super happy when I wear it and makes me feel confident.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

This is a very well blended translucent floral sweet scent that has no rough or harsh edges. It’s one seamless blend of airy floral with a slight sweetness in the first phase. Then during the drydown there is a unique diffuse sweetness, it’s the airy sweetness like the air around you is gently sweetened by this perfume instead of it sitting on your body or clothes.that sweetness is not easily pinned down to a specific type and it’s very evenly distributed in the air so you feel like you are floating in a mist of mood lifting goodness. I’m not exaggerating it really is super addictive, I was craving this so much that I bought an extra bottle for my work so I can always have it in hand, which is not my habit at all as having so many different scents means I never like to have dupes as it’s space wasting. I am a mature woman and I wished that I had discovered this scent sooner instead of dismissing it as for a younger set.

A decade ago when I just finished the High School, I bought this perfume. It is very strong vanilla based just a meh kinda scent which now as a grown up I wouldn’t even spray it on. Sillage and longevity was enormous at least on my skin what I can recall from 2007. It can be very overpowering and sometimes can make other people nauseous.

This reminds me of rianna’s crush sometimes I wear them together and compliments galore. Love them both will always have a bottle of each. Lasting power is quite strong for me. I find this one either blooms and smells like chocolate and flowers or it doesnt mix well with some people so not a safe blind buy.

This was one of my first perfumes! Lots of girls wore it as a popular going out fragrance when I was in 1st year uni. I haven’t worn it in a while so I thought that I’d revisit it 🙂
The opening notes (on me at least) are apple and mandarin orange. A creamy note quickly emerges and 2 minutes later the middle note of tuberose dominates which explains the initial creaminess. I personally don’t like tuberose so thank god it disappears 10 minutes later, only leaving behind it’s creaminess. There’s something a little bit tropical about it at this point, which I think is the tiare flower and guava. It’s well blended though so it’s hard to tell. In the dry down of this fragrance is when the vanilla and chocolate come out on top.
It’s a warm, comforting fragrance with moderate longevity and silage. The bottle is gorgeous and it’s cool how you can take the ring off from around the cap and wear it as a ring.

About a decade ago, my friend told me that Vera Wang Princess smelled like Playdoh (which I love), and for many years, I kept it at the back of my mind. Unfortunately, I’m late to jump on the Vera Wang bandwagon, and it can no longer be found in shops in Malaysia. My parents went all around London looking for it, only to find it at the airport. On discount.
When I first sprayed it, I was smiling, thinking I can finally smell like sweet plasticky Playdoh… But what a rude awakening. It smelled like what I would describe a baby executive, something an intern would wear (I’m 30). Not that it is too bad a thing… Princess smells friendly, young, still living with mom. It smells like mom-just-hugged-me. Like an intern. Too powdery for my liking. I love Flowerbomb though.
Waited a while for the middle notes, and it just kept smelling too generic. Like walking into a clean shop. Where is the cocoa and vanilla I read about? It didn’t give me a headache though. The bottle is so cute. I guess I’ll have to keep on wearing it… Because I have it.

My previous review was based on a fake bottle of it that I used to have(and it’s juice was green!)
Now I’m writing based on a decant of original princess
It opens fresh and aquatic floral.I think it’s water lily.I don’t like it in this stage but in less than five minutes it changes to something totally different and love!I can smell a sweet fruity accord made off guava and apricot, vanilla and something very delicious but I can’t name it dark chocolate.it more looks like white chocolate!also there’s a hint creamy white florals which I can’t put my finger on it(maybe tiara?)
I don’t have anything with dominant guava so I don’t have anything similar to princess in my collection.it’s very delicious but in a soft, light way.it’s sweet but not heavy or cloying and very youthful, playful
I like it alot and if I receive an original bottle of it as gift I’d wear it happily throughout the year.it’s pretty and inoffensive and cute and deserves to be popular but unfortunately it doesn’t last on me(less than three hours) and with soft sillage except first minutes of application that projects almost moderately.too light for my taste
Princess isn’t easy to find where I live.however I adore this delicious and soft vanilla, guava, apricot, cream scent I won’t bother search for it unless it comes in my way with a good price

This is “Love Story” and “Daisy” done right. Simple and uncomplicated but delicate and sweet, befitting any young lady. It’s not entirely lost in boredom and the bottle is cute. So, +1, 6/10.

This is my first review. I love this perfume. It’s sweet and light and innocent. When my granddaughter was 4, we would go out to dinner every week together. Then we would go to the local department store and test all the perfumes. We did this for about three years until I got sick and couldn’t do it anymore. She was always drawn to Princess. It was the one she always wanted to spray on her wrist after smelling many others. Last year, she turned 10, and the price dropped on this lovely perfume. She was so excited to get her first real perfume for her birthday. She wears it to church and other “special occasions”. The memories this perfume evokes bring tears to my eyes. I would wear this perfume myself. To me, it is an ageless, unoffensive, and clean scent. That is why I had no qualms about giving it to a “tween”. It’s not a sultry, heavy perfume with an enormous sillage. Thanks for humoring an “oldish” grandma. And, BTW, I love this website.

    It’s okay.
I loved it when I first tried it at the chemist, so I bought it. The next time I wore it I was over it and decided to sell it online.
Lesson learned: try an EDP or EDT a few times before you buy it.

On me Princess is very sophisticated. Every time I wear this I’m asked what it is. To me it smells like a freshly broken bar of delicious quality dark chocolate, and a deep floral with a warm vanilla, not watered down cheap vanilla extract. The notes come together and do this sexy little tango on my skin. I wouldn’t purchase this for anyone under 21. Yes the bottle is cute, but on me this perfume is warm and too sophisticated for a younger person. During the Summer this perfume makes an entrance on my skin
