Description
This Pretty Woman Perfume fragrance was lovingly created by Barbara Orbison,
and is as singular and mesmerizing as Roy Orbison’s iconic song. Barbara has been
involved in every step of the development from conception to launch. She worked
closely with perfumers to formulate the exact scent she desired, which she had carefully
honed after having already spent years creating and wearing her own unique blend.
“It has been a life-long dream of mine to create a perfume that speaks to women
everywhere,” comments Barbara. “I believe that within every woman there is a pretty
woman and my signature fragrance helps bring that out that inner confidence and spirit so
they feel strong, empowered, sensual and pretty.”
Its crisp, luminous bergamot top note evolves to reveal a full, vivacious middle note accord of stargazer lily, red rose and carnation. The fragrance’s base note accord of fresh amber, patchouli, vanilla, atlas cedar and sacred incense combine with a lingering everlasting warmth and harmony.

Pretty Woman the fragrance is a beautiful tribute to a great song written by a well-loved husband. Pretty Woman is an absolutely wonderful scent!
I’ve had PW sitting in my box of “to swap” scents for a while. For some reason, I decided to pull it out and wear it last night…
“What do I see…
Is she walking back to me?
Yeah, she’s walking back to me!”
Oh yeah, Pretty Woman is staying in my life (and in my Keeper Cabinet). Oh, the sweet Incense, the gooey Amber, and spicy Carnation. What really makes this scent pop for me is the photo-realistic Stargazer Lily. It is just a group of notes that blend like magic into well… Pretty. Guys, don’t try to wear this. After all, it is Pretty Woman!

Fragrance Review For Pretty Woman By Barbara Orbison
Top Notes: Bergamot
Middle Notes: Carnation Rose Lily
Base Notes: Amber Patchouli Vanilla Cedar Incense
“But wait what do I see ? She’s coming back to me. Oh Pretty Woman!”
The classic Roy Orbison song and the Julia Roberts Richard Gere movie – in a perfume! Mrs. Barbara Orbison wife of the late Roy Orbison has honored the classic romantic oldie with a fragrance for pretty women everywhere. This is a very simple scent but not linear in any way. It follows a progression and develops from citrus and floral to incense. The opening is a bergamot orange. The heart is rose carnation and lily. These flowers are mostly rose scented in this perfume so what I get most is pure rose, powdery feminine perfumy rose. The dry down takes a while and it’s aromatic with patchouli cedar wood and incense. The incense is not too smoky but very detectable and warm. There is a vanilla creamy rich and gourmand that comes out as well. Beautiful, luxurious, elegant and like something out 1980’s Saks Fifth Avenue. It smells like a woman that has taken hours at the beauty salon and then has gone shopping for fragrances and you know that fragrance of multiple perfumes on a counter as you walk into Macys or Nordstroms, that smell? Yeah this is like that, like the smell of entering a perfume department store. But it is very much it’s own scent. I have never smelled anything like this out in the fragrance market today. It smells vintage, classic, floral and incense a bit like a Chanel from the 80’s a bit of a youthful Coco Eau de Parfum. Very beautiful. I wear it and walk around feeling like Julia Roberts in the shopping scene.

PRETTY WOMAN THE PERFUME
Mercy!
For me this fragrance IS the Julia Roberts In Pretty Woman fragrance! It smells just as nice as a perfume that she would wear herself and a fragrance that matches up with the movie. It smells like a million bucks. It would have grace the perfume counters of fragrance boutiques in Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. If Vivien had been wearing this perfume when she walked into that boutique where the nasty sales ladies didn’t attend to her, they would have totally let her shop in there! LOL This scent begins with aldehydes that are perfumy and very old fashioned like a Chanel fragrance. There’s a fresh juicy bergamot the only fruit in this fragrance. It’s mainly a floral. There’s roses, lilies and carnations. The carnation stands out and it’s one of those sexy carnation scents (think Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood). The other flowers rose and lily give it a very grown up womanly sexy and luxurious vibe. Classy. There’s also plenty of woods and incense to give it a chypre feel not terribly old fashioned but wearable and warm. It’s smoky, leathery, dark but not in a mysterious way just very formal. Patchouli, too, gives it a touch of formality and elegance. I love this perfume. I’m glad I was able to buy it here in Miami. Right now I am the only girl wearing this among my friends and that makes me so happy!!!

I think this perfume is so good because really represents a love witness… I’d like to find it, but it seems quite impossible. What a pity.
RIP Barbara.

First, if you have a bottle and live in the USA but don’t want it, I’d be very interested in swapping for it (and I’ve got plenty to swap!).
For me this was mostly woody/incense with some vanilla, which becomes more noticeable as the woody/incense quality recedes a bit over time. It is just a little sweet and not very floral at all. Adam Levine’s perfume, for example, is considerably more floral, sweeter, and not as woody. It felt just slightly animalic for a while, but eventually that seems to disappear. It’s also quite strong, being that I used half a spray and it was stronger than most scents! This is yet another example of what I was thinking niche would be like when I was a newbie. It’s not complex, but it’s not too simple, it smells natural, and it focuses on the woody/incense quality, with some slightly sweet vanilla offering contrast. Also, I’d say it’s entirely unisex!

pretty woman starts off a bit sweet leaning towards gourmand-floral, but spicy and woody as well. it is not candy sweet at all, then it gets smokier and deeper. the florals mixed with patchouli, vanilla and incense seem most prominent and it’s warm and sensual. after awhile it goes through an amber phase and back to a creamy, smoky floral phase. still so gorgeous. i do not detect much citrus in this.

Happy I bought this without knowing anything about it.
A wonderful surprise because this is quality juice.
Incense wrapping itself around vanilla and sweet amber.
Just the right amount of sweetness.
There is also a fruity note that is so lovely – I cant tell what it is but no resemblance to the fruity fragrances of today.
This perfume goes up on my 10 Best list.

Oriental-woody, yes, I totally agree with Mooniq. This is a thick, spicy and woody fragrance. It´s sweet but not cloying. I get the same powdery feel like in Voile d´Ambré from YR. The insence is obvious but not overwhelming. I don´t get any musk. Overall it´s a pleasant perfume and I think mrs Orbison did a good work with this. It´s like a whiff of the perfumes from the late 90-ies in a good way.

A wonderful spicy scent. I would like to call it a oriental woody/spicy scent. Opens with insence, spice and deep adult flowers, no sugersweet notes at all. A parfum for a grownup girl – like me. This will be a favourite! A lot similar to Florascent Umami – another wonderful scent!

I tried Pretty Woman Perfume today and loved it sooo much. I’ve been smelling it all day long and at one moment I thought I’d be tired of it soon, but I wasn’t!
The scent reminds me of Coco, but it’s much prettier)) It starts sweet ant flowery, then I get insence, spice and lots of patchuli.
Amazing staying power (over 9 hours).

Strong and heady mix – I can’t say I smelled much of a bergamot really.
