Description

The house Prada is launching a new fragrance in February 2016. Prada Candy Kiss belongs to the collection of playful gourmand scents Prada Candy, which includes the original from 2011, Prada Candy L’Eau from 2013 and Prada Candy Florale from 2014. In 2015, the Candy Kiss Collection was introduced, consisting of the three original scents in practical mini bottles of 20 ml.

Prada Candy Kiss, the new fragrance, channels the addictive nature of the Candy composition and enhances its characteristic scent of musk. Inspired by obsession and repetition, Prada Candy Kiss is designed to re-activate emotions and impressions. It evolved from the idea of creating a loop of sensations out of a single signature note wrapped around the body.Musk in its signature purity is omnipresent in the composition; from the upper notes to the base. It evokes delicate white cotton in a sensual fragrant cloud, enriched with uplifting notes of vanilla and orange blossom. The fragrance is developed by Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

The face of the campaign shot by Steven Meisel is model Lexi Boling. The fragrance will be available in bottles of 30, 50 and 80 ml.

This is the only Prada Candy I like. I despise the smell of the original one.I am really surprised no one has written this smells like a very light version of coppertone! Well, before they have practically taken the scent out of coppertone. I love it! I see it has a vote being compared to Neroli Portofino, which I also have. I agree, but an extremely light version. That is also a “sunscreen” fragrance to me.I would also say a very light Bond 9 Fire Island, but not Bobbi Brown Beach. That one is so synthetic & plasticy smelling, I can’t take it. This is beautiful, but I think Prada should skim down on the price of these that don’t last long, or are light as a body spray. The original Prada Amber is a BEAST! I wish they would have beasted this one up a notch!

Very light musky floral fragrance that unfortunately didn’t last long on my skin (roughly 2 hours) and sillage is weak. Yet Candy Kiss is a lovely fresh scent that is safe to wear in an office, school or anywhere you may be in close proximity to people. More for daytime as it is too light to wear for evening as the scent just disappears as it did in my case. Not really a gourmand scent in my opinion but still sweet enough that it will definitely not cause headaches or be cloying.

ok so this is the BEST out of all the candy scents i believe – well at least in my opinion lol……..what a dreamy feminine yummy scent its one of those scents u cannot stop smelling lol i love the vanilla white floral & musk combo so beautiful maybe its the vanilla & musk that make it sooooo dreamy – not sure – but either way i love this one !!!!

Would have love this on me, as it starts off with a orange-musk combination. But sadly, it ends with a super soft vanilla scent. Poor longevity and sillage on me, lasted for one hour from initial spray. sorry not for me..

A member recommended this perfume in a forum post as a clean scent. I thought…no way…the original Candy isn’t “clean” so I went to Sephora tonight to test this one. I don’t like the original, too sweet, but Prada Candy Kiss is sort of perfect. It’s such a soft perfume, lightly sweet, kind of clean and just smells so good on the skin! The notes are musk, vanilla and orange blossom. If you aren’t a fan of overly gourmand, but would like a touch of sweet, a little fresh and a bit of floral, check this out. I’m so grateful to whoever suggested this perfume in the forum! I think I have a new favorite!

Musk, musk, and more musk! Soft, clean musk with orange blossom and vanilla. And maybe caramel? Caramel is not listed as a note, but I think I get it in the dry down. I’m really loving this fragrance and am impressed with the entire Candy line. The original Candy is one of my favorites and after recently testing Candy Gloss, I want it too! So good!

I’’m not an expert, and new to this site. But this just smells like TBS White Musk.

I just bought this last week and to sum up: it smells like orange and clean and vanilla. Clean scent fades away after a while(aka 20min), and all I got is orange and light vanilla scent that lasts about to two hours on my skin. I really love this perfume cause it feels feminine and charming.I wish the musk lasted more on my skin to make it more unique. Unfortunately, I had zero compliments so far.

This is so lovely, went to my wishlist. It’s very easy to enjoy. Not the sort of perfume to make me madly in love obsessed, but gorgeous nonetheless, the kind I would wear when I don’t want to overwhelm myself or anyone else. It’s young woman slightly sweet but fresh, elegant, “aerated” perfume, extremely easy to wear but not boring. Seems to be a great choice as an office/ everyday wear perfume for a young woman who wants to be taken seriously but still keep it fun & girly.
What I like about it is that It’s both very Girly (not womanly, or “missy” ) and also Elegant at the same time which is not a combination I often find within the same scent.

My new love… Not too sweet, it’s musky and powdery. I am actually surprised how much I like it. Not a complicated scent, just a few notes, but to me it seems just perfect.

This flanker of Prada Candy is primarily marked by notes of cheap playdough, musk, and dum dum lollipops. Not impressed. It’s really not even a bad smell, but I’ll pass.

  12. :

The neroli is definitely present in the opening here coupled with the heavy musk (think TBS White Musk) it gives this a clean musk vibe to start off. I could have thought there was a touch of jasmin in there too. In my opinion reminiscent of Jennifer Aniston’s first perfume at the very beginning (which was a favourite of mine while I could get hold of it in Europe :().
On the dry down a lovely big dollop of sweet vanilla makes itself known and softens up the whole affair. This has all my favourite notes, white musk, neroli and vanilla and I absolutely love it. I was delighted to see it on sale in Boots yesterday(for anyone living in the U.K or Ireland).
The lasting power is pretty good on me too I’ve no complaints there either, I notice some are saying it doesn’t last. I hate the name and the concept 🙁 However, who cares about that really the perfume itself is a definite winner!! Don’t let the terrible name and marketing put you off if you are a more mature woman, this is not a particularly young, girly or immature fragrance in my opinion even though it looks like it was aimed at a younger crowd, this would smell fantastic on anyone.

I was pleasantly surprised by Prada Candy Kiss. I thought it worth a try when I was last perusing the sales counter at my local department store. Spritzing Prada Candy Kiss on the back of my hand, I found myself sniffing my hand continuously over the course of a few hours and greatly enjoying its soft, sweet aroma.
I have always made it known that I am not the biggest fan of the original Prada Candy. My overall lack of excitement for the original put me off testing any of her subsequent flankers until very recently. Prada Candy Kiss is my favourite flanker so far.
Prada Candy Kiss opens with a soft, sugary and vanillic blend of musk, orange blossom and powdered vanilla. This composition is very basic yet effective. It comes across as very youthful and girly, but not in such a way as to be off-putting to older consumers.
Unfortunately, the soft, sweet and fluffy top notes are very short-lived on my skin. The base of white musk comes into play far too early in this fragrance’s development and doesn’t have quite the same appeal as the delicious opening. The longevity is also quite lacklustre which is rather unfortunate. It was the poor lasting power that stopped me from returning to the store to buy myself a bottle.
I don’t know much about matching body products, or if any were made for this release, but I could only recommend layering Prada Candy Kiss with a rich, moisturising lotion to try and prolong this fragrance on the skin.

Musk, caramel. Very strange. Smells like clean laundry, caramel. It’s not bad or unpleasant. It’s soft and clean. It’s fine, but I don’t think I’d buy it.

    Sweet & Musky..
It’s nice but a bit musky for my taste..

This is possibly the only Prada candy I like out of the line. I love the musky powder undertones in this

This is great for spring/summer! On me it is sweet but not heavy at all, very fresh and soft sweet. The neroli really shines on my skin, taking on a honeyed feel. I don’t reach for this one often (I like louder, sweeter scents) but I have a feeling I will be using it a lot more as the weather warms up..!
Very inoffensive, stays fairly close to skin which is what I am going for today (heading to the optometrist).
It is lovely, nice and breezy fresh without ozonic, green or aquatic notes (which I don’t usually like). I do kind of get the “fresh, sun dried laundry” feel but add an orange grove in bloom nearby…

This should be called the baby line. This one smells like European babies, original and leau smell like American babies, florale smells like the mom, and gloss smells like the grade school sister

  19. :

This is my current favorite. It’s very soft and gentle. I feel like I’m wrapped up in a soft billowy cloud of gentle sweetness. I think it’s most like Clean Skin the fragrance. Not that they smell the same, but if you like Clean Skin, you will probably enjoy this one as well. They are both like a warm sweet hug from somebody special.

  20. :

I voted dislike because of my personal taste when I smell this one, BUT I believe it’s a very interesting and well made quality work here.
It’s so hard to describe. It’s thick. but light. lol. what a start. Ok let’s try again…
Even though they are called candy the Prada candy fragrances are nothing like LVEB and the likes. Candy kiss never goes into full sugar mode.
I don’t perceive many layers in this, it’s like one big block of blended sugar+musk+floral and that’s the magic in the fragrance. The mix of sugar and fresh clean floral results in a very unique scent.
I did not see it evolve much over time, it stays the same but your brain will pick up different facets of it. Sometimes it smells really like a hard candy, sometimes it brings you back to a very clean scent.
It’s never overwhelming but it lasts.
IMO more suited for a more mature person. Actually, it’s one of the rare sweet fragrances I think would be good for daytime at the office.

This is a true love for me. I loved it the first time I tried it, but second guessed myself (I think because the packaging/marketing don’t match my idea of what kinds of perfumes I think I like). I’ve now worn my sample 3 or 4 times, and there’s no more doubt…it’s 100% me. The muskiness combined with the orange blossom is so pleasing and beautiful to my nose. I have no issue with longevity – I can still smell it at the end of the day.
EDIT: I’ve discovered that I love this best in spring when the burst of orange blossom feels so welcome on the heels of winter.

I tend to enjoy Prada perfumes (minus the insanely sweet sugar bomb stuff). Prada is a nice safe and boring perfume to me you can wear it to work/daily basis without offending anyone and it still has an element of sexiness to it. It also as an element of lexury and confidence to it. Some of them dont last very long but out of all of them, my favorite one is Prada candy kiss EDP. It is a hug your mom perfume and is sexy without being shower showy or seductive. I enjoy how it makes me feel, strong and empowered. It lasts a good amount of time. It is clean and modern and feminine. Not too sweet and the musk is very light and clean.

Tested this today on a whim. For the first hour or so, I was smelling luxury face powder, which is a great smell. Then, it smells like nothing but in a good way. It smells like clean, showered skin, maybe with a little vanilla.
My teenage daughter and I both liked this, so I think this would work for any age. It’s gentle enough that I think it would work during the spring and summer, too.

    This is gorgeous.
My favorite note has always been orange blossom. I found my perfect orange blossom in Le Couvent de Minimes – Cologne of Love. I smelled it again recently while making a decant and while it was nice, it kind of fell flat to my nose.
I think my tastes have changed a lot recently and when I tried this sample, it reminded me of my beautiful orange blossom, but with a little something extra I was missing, a soft vanilla musk.
This is very light, but while I’m sitting here, I get whiffs of orange blossom and vanilla. I also get a tiny bit of musk, which I love.
I feel like this is Cologne of Love plus Jovan Musk with a beautiful vanilla.
This scent makes me happy and comforted, I just love it.
UPDATE: I bought an 80ml tester and it’s my new signature! <3

Prada candy meets narcisco rodriguez for her EDT, to create a softer, sweeter, and more traditionally “clean” scent. I really get the dryer sheets in here. I wonder who on earth chose the name kiss for this, it should have been named hug or cuddle or something. A sweet, musty laundry scent. Perfect if you are looking for something very light to wear that won’t offend. I do like it better than narcisco since I found that one a little rough on the musk. Although, I also think of lolavie by jennifer aniston being a bit like this, but I adore that one with it’s citrus & jasmine. Will enjoy the rollerball I got for christmas, but it isn’t a wow for me. I do like it.

This is all orange blossom on me pretty much. Any of the sweet vanilla I get is so faint I have to put my nose to my arm and there was not a hint of musk to me or maybe there was for a second? Anyway too cloying of floral orange blossom for me to keep. went back next day
Oriental Vanilla? No way… this is floral to my nose. 🙁

Grape gum balls and dryer sheets. This stuff is way harsh and I love it but find it to be unwearable as perfume. It would have been better as hair conditioner or a candle. Industrial Fun-fetti.

I didn’t understand why I kept reading “cotton”
As that’s not what comes to mind for me, smelling it now I get it. It’s a clean musk, not abrasive, cold, dry, or soapy, but not animalic. I’ve never smelled any perfumes where i was able to identify orange blossom but it always made me nervous. Oranges specifically remind me of house cleaning product. That said, it’s nothing like that. Just a soft delicate flower. The vanilla makes it cozy, it’s so delicious (not edible smelling but still super yummy. tempted to lick it, but just because it’s so good). This is a mature sweet, a kind of every day sexy. Not going out, but an attractive woman in a cashmere sweater. The notes are so simple so I was really surprised finding out I’m in love with it. It’s beat out candy, and gloss.

This is not what I expected at all. I had never tried any of Prada’s candy perfumes. Considering the names, I thought they were happy, girly girl, extremely sweet fragrances. So when I got a sample of this one and tried it for the first time, It truly surprised me.
not really sweet, not girly, but an amazing comforting scent that resembles fresh laundry and flowers and summer. (not like clinique fragrances though, in a warmer and more sophisticated way.)
the sillage and longevity were both moderate.
This smells exactly like my mom’s hugs. It made me feel so nostalgic. this is what fragrances should be like: actually make you feel something.

I tested this at macys on the way to the bathroom to nurse my son. It was a strange sweet musk I hated it so much I had to rinse it off mid feeding. I tried it again this year and I fell in love. I need to reapply often as with all the candies in this line, but man did it grow on me!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

I love the original Prada Candy, and this one is the best flanker in my opinion. It is a soft, feminine and powdery fragrance that instantly lifts your mood and brings a smile to your face. It works in any season, lasts 8 hours on my skin and has a good sillage.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

soft, sweet, comforting, gourmandish, contemporary, close to the body, LOVELY, beautifully layerable with the lotion, addictive.
saddly, poor silage, poorer longevity, though a perfume.

  34. :

I am crazy about this lately , soft sweet musk with a hint of vanilla and orange blossom. Fresh but soft and warm and fuzzy. Super cozy and comforting like fresh washed cotton , could bath in it !!!!

  35. :

    5 out of 5

It’s one of those fragrances you can’t wear to dinner because it’s so strong. You can taste it after smelling it. I think it’s overpowering and borderline offensive musks and floral.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

I love this scent. It’s a calm, straight musk with just enough Neroli and Vanilla to give it a barely there gourmand vibe. I have been craving this for half a year – then by chance bought TBS White Musk For Men and was dumbfounded at how similar the two scents come across. One is not a dupe for the other but almost there – and I get the same ugh I could just eat myself happy feeling from them. If you’d like the musk to be a little less in yer face, try Bvlgari Omnia Crystal EdP. Same family, same vibe, same yumminess.

I tested this today at Ulta. I had tested it one time before and liked it, but I wanted to revisit it. When I sprayed it on, there was something in the opening I didn’t like, so I just put it down and went on my way. Then about 15 minutes later, I sniffed my arm and realized that it smelled great, but familiar. Yes, I had definitely smelled this before…it’s The Body Shop White Musk Libertine, which is now discontinued but gorgeous and sexy, and I have a few backups of it. I’d say that if you have White Musk Libertine, you don’t need this, because WML is actually better. They’re both lovely musk gourmands.

  38. :

There may not be many notes to this perfume, but I think that adds to it’s appeal. I really love this! I like all the Prada Candy’s this one has longevity too, it’s an eau de parfum, so it has more lasting power and sillage. The orange blossom is well balanced with the musk, it’s soft and feminine. It’s a very cosy scent, I imagine it shines in the winter. It reminds me of cosy nights by the fireplace, with hot chocolate and marshmallows. I just wish it were not so expensive!

First smell is so sweet but I really love when it already past for half day and quite long lasting.

Not regretting buying this fragrance one little bit! Despite it being part of the Candy line and a flanker. This is the smell of happiness… A sweet, clean musk on a backdrop of vanilla and orange blossom. So soft… Like a cloud of pure, white cotton. I don’t feel it is original Candy-like, or reminiscent of those pink musk confectionary hearts. It’s a sophisticated scent.
Longevity and sillage are good for me, even though it has been called “poor” on this page. When it comes to musk, (because it is a tricky note) I honestly believe it comes down to individual nose perception. Most of the time I am actually anosmic (i.e. can’t detect it, even if it’s there). But for some scents, I pick musk up loud and clear. This is one of them.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

As somebody else mentioned, what you see is what you get…lots of sweet musk and a touch of orange blossom. I actually think this perfume is one of those “love it or hate it” scents…if you like or love sweet musky perfumes, this will likely be a hit with you. However, if you’re like me and struggle with musks, be sure to test before buying.

  42. :

I didn’t expect much from this mainstream scent but I’m pleasantly surprised. The opening is just beautiful and settles into a faintly sweet, powdery cloud. I don’t usually like powder scents but this one is light, fluffy, and gorgeous on my skin. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist, hours later. It definitely fades into a softness over hours of wear but still absolutely lovely. The opening is so enjoyable that I’ll re-apply happily. I can see needing the right skin chemistry for this beauty, however. Unexpected love. Very feminine and softly sexy.
Update: Love this. Has turned into my everyday scent. Makes me feel beautiful no matter the day and is soft enough to wear to work.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

This smells like the pink flavor in the valentine hearts candies taste, synthetic fruit with lots of Musk and strong but indistinguishable florals. It’s cloyingly sweet all at the same time with no noticeable transition between tops notes or heart notes. It’s a different sweet than the gentler almost savory caramel and benzoin and soft airy musk of original Prada Candy, it’s less bearable, very long lasting and loud. After fifty minutes of one spray on my hand it did not soften up so I had to put a spritz of the original Prada candy on top of wrist to balance out the scents, as it Kiss seems to be lacking a back end and seemed destined to stay in the strong phase indefinitely.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

This is another perfume that I wanted to like..Musk, vanilla and orangeblossom are notes that I like, but on me this smells like old sunscreen lotion..like, it’s very mature on my skin..I’m 31 and I don’t see myself wearing this scent..I would say 50+…It’s probably too heavy on the musk, and it’s powdery. Good everyday and all year around perfume if you like powdery scents 🙂

Candy Kiss is exactly what I wanted Jean Paul Gaultier Classique to smell like on me. They are very similar powdery scents, both remind me of scented stationery I had long ago. Classique has more kick to it though and sometimes I find it overwhelming. Candy Kiss is softer, more “fluffy”, and it has absolutely nothing in common with the other Candies besides poor sillage and longevity.

I bought this today and have been wearing it throughout, I am already in love. It gets better and more refined as it wears. It is sweet, but in a posh sort of way.
I am addicted to this smell.
    God Bless!!!
Edit: this is the most ageless, timeless, feminine perfume I have Ever smelled.

Am I the only one that thinks of Barbie dolls when you smell this perfume? I love it and now it will always also remind me of my first born as he helped me pick it out. We got the small bottle and I am currently trying to convince my 3 year old to get his dad to buy me a bigger bottle 🙂

I don’t get the hate women have for powder, face powder, for grammas, for old-style scents, for musks, nope, I don’t get it and hopefully never will. Humans are covered in musks. We can have clean musks too now. We would have and still have dirtier ones too. We have and will have different musks with the help of technology. Huge variety, so chances are anyone will find what they like. And if that doesn’t happen, it means you aren’t a musk type, so don’t even bother.
And women use powder during all their lifetime, how can they hate it? They put on a cosmetics face powder every day. They carry it in their bag so as to re-apply if needed. They use talcum powder for a drier skin in the summer. They use it on their babies. They are so accustomed to it, yet the repulsion when sniffing a perfume: “blaaaaah it’s powderyyyyyyyy!!!!!!” or “I like it a lot but unfortunately it is powdery after some hours!!!!, so no”, it doesn’t make sense to me. End of rant. Let’s deal with Prada Candy Kiss
To me, it’s the smell of a woman’s underwear drawer. It’s far from grannyish and closer to what I call “intimate” scents. It’s a full on scubbed clean powdery musk. Sweet done right. Soft in a womanly way, not in the little girl girly way, which I don’t like at all. It does turn a little more vanillic, but nothing gourmand, just enough, and after some time of wear the orange blossom is prominent too. It reached the six hour limit that I want from a perfume, so no problems with longevity for me. Sillage is big in the first two-three hours and then it stays close to skin for sure.
I love it! I didn’t mess up with Candy Prada perfume line out of fear for the candy gourmand thing they carry. Not this time, this is beautiful. And whoever likes Prada Candy Kiss do try Infusion De Fleur D’Oranger, also by Prada, you won’t be disappointed.

judging by notes, I thought it would be wonderful. Wrong.
picture a well dressed grandma, talking a roll in a huge powder puff. That’s what I basically felt when I smelled it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it smelled bad but this is to me not “young” scent which is ironic since Prada is marketing this toward younger age group.
My grandma used to wear powder that smelled very similar-I think that’s why I am associating this with older ladies. This also reminded me of Prada Original scent which I think smells very similar.
If that’s the kind of scent you like-powdery, and very sweet, go for it. Not for me though

This smelled like a buttery white floral on me, as in an actual stick of butter, plus a white floral note. I love orange blossom, musk, and vanilla, and I detected none of those notes on my skin. It had impressive longevity and good sillage, I’ll give it that, but it wasn’t a good match with my chemistry.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

Clean musk, orange blossom & sweet vanilla… The notes are easy to pick out and it has a soft, creamy feel which makes me think of a pale pink poofy cloud.
The only down side for me is that this is overpriced for what it is…it smells SO similar to some of the musk scents from The Body Shop which I also love.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

If that cute bottle nags at you, and the original Candy for some reason doesn’t work for you, this flanker is an acceptable compromise. That, at any rate, is why I bought it. But if you’re not stuck on the bottle, you’re probably better off investing your money elsewhere. The scent is pleasant but (on my skin) rather weak and in no way special.
The only other reason to get is if you have a huge hankering for orange flower. Candy Kiss strikes me as almost nothing but orange flower plus an elusive sweetness reminiscent of the original Candy. Nice, to be sure, but also quite forgettable.

  53. :

I try not to leave negative reviews, as I think scent is truely subjective, but this smells horrible on me. It reminds me of the chalky smell of the little valentines conversation hearts we would exchange in elementary school. Just flat, powdery sweetness. I had to scrub it off immediately.

As someone who generally doesn’t get on with sweet smelling perfumes I must say I absolutely love Prada Candy Kiss.
Yes, it is sweet but in a most classy and sophisticated way.
It is not cloying at all, it’s powdery, warm and delicately floral with lovely vanilla in the background.
    Very feminine.
The longevity is decent. Around 6h.
    Overall 8/10 from me

I own and very much enjoy Prada Candy and was very happy to receive a sample of Kiss in a recent Sephora order. It’s nothing like the original but it’s still wonderful. Like everyone has said, it’soft and cozy and very likeable. It’s like clean sheets but better. I get the orange blossom for sure, the musk, and of course a slight vanilla. Simple but not boring. I can see both young and more mature women wearing this. Very versatile. This will be going on my to buy list-but not this year because I’m on a no buy! What torture that will be! I will need a bottle of this in my wardrobe!

Lighter, fresher, and more modern than Prada Candy, but still has the benzoin/musk/vaguely plastic?? thing going on in every Prada perfume that makes it a little much for me after a full day of wearing it. This one is a little too sweet for me and feels like it is better suited to a younger audience.

This perfumes smells so familiar to me but for the life of me I cannot put my finger on what it is. Nonetheless, I absolutely adore this perfume. I first smelled it last May just before Mother’s Day and we actually ended up gifting it to my grandmother for Mother’s Day. No, it isn’t a “grandma” scent at all. My grandmother is very into more modern and youthful scents. Anyway, I could not stop thinking about how amazing the perfume smelled and I finally received it as a gift for Christmas. It smells nothing like the original Prada Candy, which I also have. It’s a lot more fresh and daytime-y. Although I’d wear it anytime. I don’t usually stick to those rules. Just go smell it and see for yourself! (:

Ok, so I reviewed this a couple of times before saying how I like it and that it’s nice but not worth the price of almost £100 for 80 ML. Well it is now £42 for 50 ml with a 75ml body lotion in Debenhams reduced from £63 and I just had to have it. Honestly I rarely ever see Prada fragrances on sale here in the Uk- so if you want this- grab it now!

I got a sample of this, and it immediately reminded me of something I couldn’t put my finger on. And it came to me….. A weird mixture of JPG Classique EDT, and Chloe original a tiny bit. More so Classique, though. Strange, because I love Classique– but, I’m not liking this one too much. It’s OK. It only reminds me of classique, though. Not sure if it really smells anything like it. But there’s something giving me a headache. Mehh. I don’t know. It’s OK. Very powdery. I also noticed someone said in a review below that this smells like the Moroccan oil with the brown bottle, and turquoise and orange–the good stuff with the pump. That’s funny, cause in my review for Classique, I had mentioned how it smelled just like my morrocan oil lol, that same one. So, I guess there may be a similarity between this and classique ? Anyone else get this ? I think it may be from the heavy orange blossom note.
But… this morning when I sprayed this on, my fiance was deep in sleep next to me. He woke up several times, making an awful face, asking “what on earth is that smell???? Do you smell that???” I thought something was burning, or maybe it was the furnace–something along those lines perhaps I should’ve been on alarm about. But then I started to wonder, is it me?? Lol. So I put my wrist to his nose and he’s like “oh my god!!! What the is that?!? You gotta wash that off! “. I tried to hug him and he recoiled from me hahah. I hope that doesn’t offend anyone, but that’s honestly what he said:-/ I have a ton of perfume, he never notices what I wear. I’ve never seen him have a reaction like that to anything I’ve ever worn in the past. He was utterly repulsed. He said it was “so flowery!”. Now sure, I wasn’t crazy about it–but in no way did I find it anywhere near as offensive as he did. I would’ve kept it on and just waited till it wore off, no big deal. So even if I did like this, I think its safe to say I can’t wear it. But honestly, I wear what I want. Who cares what he thinks, right? We love our perfumes for ourselves! I’m wondering if anyone else has gotten a bad reaction from this before ? This perfume woke up my fiancé from a dead sleep, so it must be pretty strong. Anyway.. Its a strange phenomenon. How prada candy kiss reminds me of my beloved classique, yet I don’t like it. Oh well. Its quite simple, all its described as. White cottony, potent orange blossom and musk.. Quite floral, not so much vanilla for me. The name is all wrong.. In no way do I get candy from this. The original is better. Its nothing to write home about IMO. If you don’t like orange blossom or musk, this is all wrong for you

I was at the perfume counter smelling new (to me) scents. I’m not sure what made me smell this. But I thought wow this is nice, a bit sweet, a bit fresh. Nothing ground breaking, but nothing so generic either. I ended up spraying this and another on my skin. I thought it was going to be a love affair.
Alas when I sprayed it on today, wearing it as I wear all my perfumes….I was hit with a headache and slight nausea. I have never had a reaction like this to a perfume, except when I was little and would smell the in your face sweetness of Sand and Sable that others wore. Never have I worn something that gave this affect.
If I could have gone home and taken a bath to scrub this off, I would. It’s crazy though. By itself even if I smell my arm, I think it is such a pretty scent but for some reason I cannot wear this at all. So glad I got this from a reputable shop so I can return it. I am sad I turned out this way.

I read enough negative reviews about this that I needed to test it multiple times to be certain my nose wasn’t deceiving me. I’m guessing the negatives are due to the fact that this has nothing at all in common with the original Candy. So why not name it something else entirely??? Who knows, but lucky for me, I didn’t give up.
Each time I put this on I thought, ‘Oh, I am soooo in love!!’ But it took me a while to fully identify why. However, after a few go-rounds, I believe it is the fact that it projects so well as a musk. I’ve loved musk since I was a girl, albeit, my preference has always leaned toward the more animalic, natural types of musks.
This however, is the modern, clean version, but when it’s blended with orange blossom, on the right skin, this baby blooms brilliantly. The longevity is out of t
