Description
House of Atkinsons launches its new collection of fragrances called The Contemporary Collection, which includes three perfumes: Rose in Wonderland, Posh on the Green and Lavender on the Rocks. The collection represents a modern interpretation of the classic three perfume ingredients. This trio is designed to “transform the familiar into the fabulously unfamiliar in a way that is distinctive and intriguing”.
Posh on the Green, for a lady or a dandy, is made of the finest green notes. It opens with green and floral notes of petit grain and coriander that interferes with the heart of mint, galbanum and pink geranium. The composition ends with dirty, smoky vetiver and cedar.
The fragrances are available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
Posh on the Green was launched in 2014.

Sigh. Lovely green burst — for 30 whole seconds. Then dries down to a soapy, shaving cream. This part also lasts for mere minutes. This has been compared to Eau de Camille, one of my favourite fragrances. I don’t perceive the slightest similarity in scent or longevity. Even I — someone who prefers lighter scents — could not justify buying Posh on the Green.

In the opening, I perceive a sweet vetiver note. Although vetiver is usually more grassy than sweet, it is being rounded up nicely by the other notes during the starting phase of this scent. The combination evokes an association with limes for me: green, zesty and a bit fruity-sour.
After a couple of minutes on my skin, the vetiver is clearly joined with mint and evergreen wood. The mix smells like a tea made from fresh mint leaves.
What’s left in the drydown is an ephemeral mix of fougere and soap. So clean! Overall, a very modern fougere fragrance I would say.
It’s a perfect fresh-out-of-the-shower fragrance. Nevertheless, it does stay rather close to the skin. In my opinion anyways, this adds to the so-fresh, so-clean skin vibe that I appreciate in this fragrance.

As the name suggests, yes, it is green – a sort of abstract, undefined green you find in Calvin Klein Truth.
I think it’s okay but my wife doesn’t like it.
Wow… Bad longevity, though. Lasts perhaps a half hour or so.

Fresh, a bit soapy, lovely. But as Francop noticed, terrible longevity. How is it possible they can’t make it last longer at this price.

Very green, spicy and grassy with a little bit of an earthy feel in the finish. I like it, and will enjoy the rest of my sample, but I don’t think I will be buying a full bottle.
