Description

In autumn 2012 the line is expended with a new collection named Lacquer Collection that offers two new fragrances – Plastique and Lacquered Rose.

Plastique is a “curious, futuristic and utterly innovative” fragrance that represents an ode to Los Angeles. Described as familiar yet unknown, the scent smells both naturally and plastic, due to the reproduction of vinyl accord. The accord is created by mixing Italian bergamot, French lavender oil and eucalyptus in the top, together with rosemary oil. The heart is made of rich and exotic floral notes with tuberose absolute, French mimosa, orris butter and elemi. The base includes patchouli, sandalwood, olibanum, styrax, benzoin from Laos, Madagascar vanilla beans and amber.

Plastique comes in a pink bottle with a white lacquer stopper, while Lacquered Rose comes in red with a black lacquer stopper. They are both available as 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

I love how this starts off smelling exactly like plastic, this element lasts on me for a few hours then gradually becomes more wearable; a warm candy floral with still at times a hint of vinyl. I absolutely love it and the opening and change in composition makes it for me!! Completely original and unlike anything I have smelt or have in my collection. I am a huge fan. Absolutely adore the bottles too, so sad they have changed, although so much more useable I guess in terms of transportation the original bottles were a work of art in my opinion, stunning. Love the whole line.

Big disappointment! Starts off nicely IMO w/a soft candied tuberose but within 5-10 minutes the top notes are completely gone & it turns into a vanilla melange that’s just so boring. I’ve never experienced a scent that so abruptly changes from top to mid notes. No trace of tuberose or that sweet candy smell in the mid or base notes (no change in the scent at all actually after the initial 10 minutes or so). This reminds me so much of something I’ve smelled before but I can’t place my finger on it. Btw, I get no vinyl type of accord at all in this scent, absolutely no weirdness. Doesn’t smell like a niche scent & I’m sorry but it’s not worth $185 for 1.7 oz. And I really did want to like this!
