Description

Boucheron presents a new women’s fragrance named after Place Vendôme, the address in Paris (Place Vendôme 26) where Frederic Boucheron opened his first jewelry store in 1893. The perfume symbolizes over 150 years of light and gems that have passed through this house. A woman who wears Boucheron is conceived as independent, free, self-reliant and confident.

“A story rather than a face. A story of light. While Paris continues to dream, the sun’s rays slide over the rooftops. The dome of the Invalides becomes a gigantic gold flower. The sun continues to rise, its rays crossing the arcades. Shadows slip from the Vendôme Column, which points majestically at number 26. In a white light, she appears. She is the heroine. On her skin, ephemeral finery to enhance the glow found deep within each woman. Boucheron Place Vendôme.”

The composition is florinental-woody, created by Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson. It opens with fresh and sparkling pink pepper which illuminates delicate orange blossom and rose essence. Jasmine petals develop in their full floral potential in the heart of the perfume, together with peony enriched with golden traces of creamy honey. The base notes include elegant cedar and sensual benzoin.

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Place Vendôme was launched in 2013.

    What an elegant scent!
It’s sweet but not cloying, the honey note the most prominent for my nose.
PV is long-lasting perfume and I find it very comforting for the colder weather.
And the bottle is gorgeous 🙂

Just got my bottle today, (another blind buy…. someone stop me) I was hoping for more honey as per the notes votes, but am still very happy with the scent. Id consider it a light, bright , sweet floral; more sweet than floral, but with a little warmth underneath.
A little harsh at first, but within minutes softens and sweetens up. Stays bright throughout, with little whiffs of honeyed benzoin underneath. Delicious, more mature than my usual gourmands… but not like “old lady” mature, more like “not a high schooler” mature 😉
A strong like from me, may eventually become a love.

One of my fave. Delicious yummy yet sweet and romantic floral scents. I love its bottle… a true beauty.. i accidentally blind bought this gem while i was hunting on clearance items on fragrancenet. Then i spot boucheron, a brand that im not befriend before. The only thing i knew about boucheron is jewelry. So i research on boucheron and decided to give a try and place vendome is my suspect lol… after search and research many reviews i ordered place vendome from my trusted shop… and taraaaaaaa…. i am so in love with place vendome…it was like a love at first sight. Still can not move on from place vendome, i already eyeing on others boucheron collection.. i am planning to buy quatre and boucheron range…
I choose place vendome as my 1st of boucheron is because it has white floral and honey aroma which i adore so much. I own many white floral scent and they never fail me even once. And all of them are my signature scent. While floral and honey scent is like my identity, the true me, it represent my character. I can wear 3 different white floral scents a day and never get bored. Every of them has its own uniques notes/scent. Sometimes i even mix 2 or 3 perfumes.. lol.

I had hopes for this one… but no. It is, sadly a creation crafted for mass appeal…of the sweet, candy, fruity genre. Most fragrance lines have put out one if not several of these and they are so hard to tell apart, all being variations on a theme.
So, though not a bad fragrance at all, it is however very forgettable.
    Nice bottle.

It’s so fleeting I’m failing to even form an opinion about it. But I kinda like it… the first 5 minutes when I’m able to detect it. I guess I bought it for the bottle. Oh well.
There’s honey in it definitely, amplified by pralines, made edgier, sharper by peony. There’s probably white flowers somewhere, maybe jasmine, perhaps orange blossom. No rose, no mandarine, no benzoin. Haven’t found any of the other notes yet tbh. It’s as if it lacks both the top notes as well as the dry down. Oh well. I’ll buy other perfumes with more pronunced and more distinct floral notes (looking at you ES Le Parfum.. eau couture and L’Orangerie for orange blossom, Alien for jasmine and NR for her edp, Calligraphy Rose and Stella for rose); and get my sweet fix elsewhere, possibly in a patisserie.

Sweetish white floral with underlying powdery rose, subtle and sophisticated. I can see why people keep mentioning Elie Saab. Think I prefer that tbh, it’s stronger. Also this has a nutty note I’m not keen on when it appears and this has no sillage to speak of.

I guess no perfume collection today is quite complete without at least one sweet-warm-candylike fragrance. And there are so many to choose from – pretty much every major perfume house has released one of those sweet/gourmand fragrances during the last few years. Usually they are a headache-inducing nightmare on my skin – too loud, too sweet, too cloying and eventually I end up scrubbing them off. But if I had to choose a sweet and warm fragrance – Place Vendome could definitely be one of my picks. For some reason this one works for me. And if I had to guess – it’s probably because it is based on white flowers. The honey sweetness makes it feel a little gourmand, but at the same time it is very well balanced and not too loud on my skin. I feel that Boucheron has done a great job with this. And don’t even get me started on that marvelous heavy glass bottle! Beautiful!

If you like Manifesto hy YSL you will like Place Vendome. The opening is very similar. PV is not as sweet as Manifesto. Very elegant and has layers. Very nice bottle.

    What an amazing scent!
    Sweet but not too much!
    Strong but not to much!
    Subtle but not to much!
For the woman who likes to show how feminine she is!

aqua76239 nailed it with her review. It really does have a kinship with Cashmere Mist! It’s more gourmand than CM, but there’s a definite resemblance! I like Place Vendôme a whole lot; I don’t get any metallic, urine, or other funkiness at all. It’s a clean, elegant, complex honey scent to me.

Like a hot June day at the fair but the candy floss man arrived late and had to pitch down-breeze of the loos; hot spun sugar, a little jasmine, a little chemical lavatory. Gorgeous bottle; cut and weighted like a crystal decanter. Except instead of a Chateau d’Yquem, it contains a Sodastream starter syrup.

This is a very sweet, very pretty fragrance, HOWEVER, every once in a while I get a faint whiff of . . . Pepto Bismol. It must be some reaction with me because no one else seems to have this effect.
Will have to give it an all day wear to see if the pepto hangs on.

This was a blind buy. So glad I took a chance. Absolutely stunning bottle. It is tolerably sweet.

I bought this perfume in the middle of a frigid winter with very high hopes. The bottle is so beautiful and I usually love Boucheron…my husband wears their scents beautifully and with the weather being snowy and frigid I really thought I’d love this scent but-no.
It smells gorgeous out of the bottle-very strong, very peachy and very very sweet-cloyingly sweet. I thought that, with the dry down, the overwhelming peach scent would vanish a bit and leave some of the other notes open to interpretation but that never happened. I tried for the entire winter to fall in love with this perfume and it always ended with me getting a wicked migraine.
My twin sister is a lucky girl tho. She scored a pricey perfume AND it smells stunning on her. Ah well..

Well Fragranticians, after long time pondering if I was to bother with this perf- based on your reviews, mainly – today I got a chance to get my hands on a 100ml bottle for a mere 28 euros and I just had to make it mine..
I am a big fan of Boucheron, although not every fragrance from them would I be a fan of..I obtained the elderly sister, L`Elixir about a year ago (also on sale..) and I was a bit disappointed: the initial chaos of notes made me retch and had to wait at least 20-30 minutes for the goodness to come out. I was on and off using it in winter, as it has a particular `burned wood` smell in the drydown, which suits the winter months.
And of the original fragrance, PV: I find barely any similarity with Elixir, there is a hint of wood here too – cedar, apparently – but this juice here is prominently sweet, I agree with a lot of you saying `just another sweet perfume, meh, what for, waste of money etc.`, I think on the other hand, that if I was to own a `popular sweet scent`, it should be this one. I like the honey-praline-cedar combo, I get tangerine, orange blossom and BENZOIN too! This could be the explanation for my being in favour of this scent, anything else – if it`s there at all – is barely there at all, on me anyway. The bottle is really pretty! I mean, I`d have it just for the bottle alone. The sillage is something I`m not really happy with though. Could it be that PV was meant for summer, and L`Elixir for winter? Anyway, I guess if you can get your hands on it for a few bucks, you`ll end up with `a pleasantly trendy frag` in my opinion. (Wearing it kinda makes me feel younger too, which the really sugary sweet frags never did, only ridiculous..)

Smells like cozy fancy french bakery. Sweet but not too much. I usually don’t like sweet scents but this one is, again, very well balanced, just like anything else from Boucheron. Love this label each day more.

I first tried this in the winter, and found it overpowering. Second try is summer, but with spring temperatures- or rather room temperature. Now it is perfect! I was even able to wear more than 1 spray to the back of my neck!

Received a small sample of this in a swap. Its has been on my “want” list for years and I finally got to test it. Sadly, I was sorely disappointed in this one.
I own the lovely edt. Though the edt has little lasting power it is a soft, creamy, musk and peony scent. I’m quite fond of the edt. Thus after reading so many reviews of the edp I was excited to try a “richer, sweeter, longer lasting” fragrance of honey and praline and orange blossom. Unfortunately all that my skin picks up is an unpleasant mix of indolic jasmine and orange blossom rather reminiscent of citrus toilet cleaner. After putting up with it for some time in hopes of improvement a urine like reek of rancid honey and sour citrus began to emerge. And I LOVE honey scents.. Réminiscence Tonka is an absolute favorite. Ive never had such a reaction to a honey note. This one is a definite scrubber! Ugh! So glad I was able to test this before I blind bought the gift set. Taking this off my “want” list.

Has anyone else purchased the bottle and been dismayed that the fragrance name is NOT on the bottle??? I love the frag but I just emailed Boucheron complaining of this change. It’s unacceptable!

I blind bought a 50ml EDP. This perfume starts so excitingly but then it quickly goes downhill. In the initial notes, I can smell the tangerine, pink pepper, rose, and orange. The combination is warm and enveloping, like a scented hug, with the notes well blended but still retaining enough individuality to make them fun. But then that beautiful smell gives way to a honey, praline and peony smell. It must be because of the honey and praline because I love every other note in it (peony, orange blossom, pink pepper, rose, orange, and cedar – not that I can smell them all here but I know them from other perfumes). That middle smell is so disappointing. Although it’s sweet, it’s also very dry and it hurts your nose like super dry air does. Cold and very sharp. There’s no vibrancy to it and smells metallic. Yet I mentally understand why others like it and consider it elegant – it’s just my nose who strongly opposes. Or perhaps I just don’t like the interpretation of jasmine in this one. It’s too pungent in this combination. See lastcenturymodern and valbona.bergma. I think the unpleasant note is common with Tresor In Love, Poeme, D&G The One, 1881, and Amarige, all containing jasmine.
Enormous sillage, especially the top notes. Projection – similarly. But then it plays Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and completely changes smell. The two smells are completely un-alike, like a broken promise or multiple personalities. After that, the scent becomes as mature as a withered eggplant and about as attractive. At that point, the projection drops, the sillage disappears, and the scent becomes kind of cloying or boring. It’s actually hard to describe why it’s unpleasant. It’s not a hate-it unpleasant or nauseating smell. It’s simply not beautiful anymore. Just honey with some almost gone citrus notes. Or perhaps the combination between peony and pralines.
Blind buy but at least mom likes and uses it. It’s not in her favorites though. That makes me wonder if she likes it-likes it or if she likes it-don’t-throw-it-away-likes it.
Edit: I found that the note I dislike must be indolic jasmine. Before the horror installs and after it’s finally gone, the perfume is quite nice. Unfortunately, that means most of the 6 hours wear time. It’s a shame because I love the top notes.

Boucheron never disappoints me. Place Vendome is elegant, exquisite and absolutely lovely. It has a sophisticated sweetness but is not a candy like fragrance. From top notes to dry down it emanates its’ gorgeous notes subtly but clearly. I love it!

    Place Vendome is SIMPLY STUNNING!
Where has this bright and vivacious fragrance been hiding from me?
This scent is mature but not to be worn only by the mature woman.
It is elegant, and traditional, but not at all dated.
It is refined but somehow manages to be coquettish too.
PV exudes wealth and would shine at any formal affair. She would also be arrantly appropriate for a long walk on the beach at sunset with a lover, or in a conference with a client.
To my nose it opened with yummy honey and orange blossom.
The light shower of pepper is perfect with the Truffle, Jasmine and discreet Rose elements.
The Benzoin is the perfect ingredient to add a touch of Vanilla-ish heaven, which rounds out this stellar creation.
This is a perfectly balanced and well rounded fragrance.
This wore well on me for about 5 hours. Sillage is moderate to slightly heavy.
After wearing her several times now, I cannot imagine my fragrance collection without it! I can see another bottle of this headed my way very soon!
Place Vendome is a SUPERBLY, multi faceted fragrance, in a equally astounding, multi faceted bottle.
I have been searching forever, for what I would want to call my signature fragrance…Place Vendome, could just be what I have been longing for.

  23. :

Place Vendome is a really lovely scent! Lots of mandarin in the opening, then a candy-sweet floral, almost gourmand, but very much grown-up smelling… Definitely up my alley. My only gripe is the longevity, or lack thereof. It doesn’t disappear entirely but does get very soft pretty quickly.

I love sweet perfumes, and crave honey-florals… so I found this for a great price (new tester) and blind bought.
I like it! Fans of honey florals will find this easy to like. It’s not unique or groundbreaking, but it’s very pleasant, sophisticated, and above average sillage/potency.
If the Elie Saabs are too strong for you, this could be the next best thing. 🙂 They don’t smell alike, however.
It’s a grown up, refined Lady Million… which is why I blind bought it.
I do wish I got stronger gourmand notes, like the praline… but overall this is very likable, and a solid like from me.
    And LOVE the bottle.

I couldn’t wait for cold months and gave it away in a swap, just looking at it’s lux, pretty bottle was a pain for me,everytime that I sprayed it,sharpness of a liquid soap burned my nostrils and I could smell nothing more,I thought it’s something in the vein of armani code, lady million, elie saab le parfum, jimmy choo illicit,a combination of honey, white florals and fruity/citrus notes that seems I never become tired of it,but nope.so I decanted 5ml for myself in a bottle to try it again and gave my almost full bottle away
Last night,I saw elixir version in a shop, tried it and strangely liked it so I decided to retry my little decant(it’s middle of autumn now and an almost cold day)
As soon as I sprayed it,again there was that dry, very sharp blast of cleaning product.it’s dry, crisp and clean and classy but doesn’t have slightest hint of sweetness,I didn’t continue to smell my hand and decided to wait and smell it after 20 minutes, that soapy, powdery smell is faint and in the background(and now that it’s faint it feels lovely and powdery)I can detect jasmine, orange flower a hint of peony and tangerine in a base of creamy benzoin, most dominant notes on me are orange blossom and benzoin,I still can’t get any honey or praline but I don’t mind, now it’s tolerable.it’s quite pretty, nice and warm.there’s something in this powdery, creamy orangeblossom confection that reminds me JPG classique and Marly safanad, two perfumes that I adore but it lacks there vanilla sweetness.now,I can change my dislike mark to like
Still I don’t like it enough to rebuy but if I still had it,I’d keep it.I’m sad and happy the same time.I promise to myself that I will never give up on any perfume that I own,not before using half of it
    P.s:
To my nose it has nothing to do with Jimmy choo illicit which is a favorite.illicit is a lovely honey perfume with healthy dose of ginger, white florals, citruses, black opium type of vanilla and creamy base notes.they notes may seem similar but they’re totally different. Illicit is a ladylike gourmand

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Ladylike, very pleasant, fresh and crispy, yet as elegant as you want a perfume to be for office or under the sun; I love it! But you must be patient: the first spray is not what I expected, if you, like me, look at the gorgeous bottle, the brand name and impeccable packaging. But once the time passes by it becomes a sweet, (not too sweet that bothers), creamy and velvety juice which shows very well the mix between jasmine and honey. For me “Boucheron Place Vendome” is a great scent to wear at work and I assure you will feel you are special and it will gain you a lot of compliments.

The jasmine, pepper and praline are so strong on my skin. When I first spray it on, I thought “what is that sensual-sweet scent?” then I came here to take a look at the notes. And it makes sense why I got the sensual sweet feeling from it. This perfume it is very sweet but not in a cheap way, it is an expensive sweet scent. You might first think this is an typical sweet scent but no…., it is not just plain sweet. It is a complex sweet but not too complex until it’s all become one scent. I be able to notice jasmine, rose, praline, honey, pink pepper, and peony. Very feminine, warm and sexy. I picture a woman with high confident for this perfume. She is a young big boss who knows what she want and what she can do.

It only took one sniff to know this is a cut above; very French, very sophisticated. I’m looking forward to wearing and getting to know this lovely lady. I think this may belong on my top shelf!

  30. :

    5 out of 5

The bottle is stunning. But, sadly, the scent just seems so…dull. I’m not getting any praline or honey. It smells so much like a few other unremarkable perfumes I’ve tried. Perhaps, I’ll have to give it another try in cooler weather or something :/
Not a dislike, just a disappointment.

This fragrance is so feminine. When I first sprayed this on my wrist it turned so powdery and I just felt like I had smelt this before. It reminds me of Sicily by dolce and gabbana!

  32. :

    3 out of 5

This was a blind buy for me at a discount store and I never heard of this scent before. Obviously I know Boucheron and sampled most of their scents, just not this one.
Upon reading reviews on there, I am flabbergasted why several people compared it to Goldea by Bulgary because it’s not even in the same ballpark. Or Mark Jacobs Dot??
Dot is a fruity floral so NO WAY
Boucheron is a woodsy floral oriental-I can’t say I smell anything floral really-it’s sweet but woodsy and almost has a slightly powdery note.
In some way, it reminded me of Cashmere Mist because it has same “feeling” if you will.
Goldea, is more of a “regular” floral oriental that is fairly sweet but not really woodsy or powdery like Boucheron. So I wouldn’t say those two are in any way similar.
I like it, it’s a scent that is rather sophisticated and has a “mature” feel to it. Bottle is heavy and looks expensive.
I don’t love it though so I doubt I will get it again. However, it’s a nice well made scent

  33. :

I’m a boucheron fan and I own and love most of boucheron fragrances,I find them appealing, high quality and multi layered..simple at first sniff but there is a magic in their heart that after couple of wearings changes them from a simple like to love for me
Boucheron place vendome looked like a love at first sniff for me,I love honey and I love my perfumes to be sweet and floral,I thought there is no need to test because I believe a single test can’t do justice about most boucheron perfumes,to be honest this was not a blind buy,I sprayed it once on a paper and got whiffs of soft, warm sweet florals, now I think that maybe that day my nose was tired..I bought a 3.4 Oz bottle with that single test(by the way,it’s bottle is very elegant and expensive looking, exactly what I expected and wished the juice inside would be)
Boucheron place vendome is a big dissapointment for me,it’s nothing like lovely reviews and notes would suggest and God knows I’m really easy going about perfumes and hardly dislike anything
I can’t detect even slightest amounts of honey or praline or benzoin or any thing sweet here..not just on my skin, there is nothing warm or sweet even on my clothes,I even can’t detect specific floral notes,it’s all about soap!
I think floral notes blend in this way and result is a very sharp, clean soapy smell, not a rosey creamy dove soap which I like,,it’s a specific expensive soap which I can’t remember it’s name, and it’s veryyyy sharp, cold and I’m afraid to confess I really dislike it
Please don’t remove this review it may help others like me,though I’ve not gave up on it yet, I’m still waiting for boucheron’s magic to show another face of this scent,a warm sweet gorgeous face..I’m going to try it again when it’s colder maybe it doesn’t like hot temperature
P.s:I can see no similarities between this one and edt version, edt is a summary powdery floral with fresh citrus undertone, very pretty

I wanted this perfume from the day it debuted. Somehow its name and photo ad made me think of lovely times with my husband in Paris, strolling on Place Vendome being happy and in love.
Imagine my surprise when I found it at TKMaxx; I thought ‘this can’t be good’ but bought it anyway. And what a disappointment. Forgettable, synthetic jasmine bordering on nauseating. No honey, no other white florals, no association with its name whatsoever. I cannot believe that a house like Boucheron released such mediocrity. It felt like J’adore’s very poor relative, bottle and scent.
    Sad.

I was gifted a full bottle of this by a generous member of this page. I’m just getting a chance, a nice sunny 70 something day. This is very pretty.
The scent image that comes to mind for me is candied roses mixed with crystalized honey dusted with powdered sugar. There is nothing wet or dewey here, the honey isn’t running. The whole thing is frozen in time, good enough to bite into. Two sprays only and I’m surrounded by a pleasant cloud of scent that has lasted all day and managed to stay strong while riding my horse and doing barn chores. If it can handle that it can hold up to pretty much anything you can throw at it. Quality.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

This one is moderate strong to me. I smell honey and jasmine/floral but the notes are very blended. I thought that I did not like jasmine. I find the essential oil that I got at the health food store to be overwhelming. But in here I really like it. It is strong/sweet and now that it’s spring I can’t wear it. In colder weather I do like this though. There’s only the slightest hint of citrus. I don’t notice benzoin the way I do in Infusion d’Iris EDP. That one seems rich and soapy.
Edit: I assumed benzoin had a resin/incense smell but I’m seeing it described as it having an “aroma reminiscent of vanilla”. That fits with this fragrance, it’s sweet, honey, floral and NOT soapy.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Champagne? Chocolate? Yeah, no. This is just the most mediocre of mediocre, average of average clean-floral-pseudo gourmands that smells like almost anything and smells like absolutely nothing. I don’t mind bad perfumes, at least there’s something to make of them, a reason worth thinking about, a direction, a style, something. But this, in math terms is the sort of thing you’d get by adding every redundant designer release of the past 5 years and then dividing that by the number of bottles involved. And to top that off, it’s not even the least bit pleasant. You’d get a dupe by mixing laundry musk and sugar.
As a movie character this would be Pedestrian B whose foot can be seen in the bottom right corner of the screen for exactly 0.76 seconds.
    Unnecessary.

  38. :

I’ve not tried it on my skin, but when I sprayed it on a clean cotton pad all I got was a rather intense face powder smell. I’m wondering what causes that particular scent (orange blossom perhaps?) because I’ve smelled it in other fragrances. I don’t dislike it, but I’m not overly fond of it, either. I suppose I should try it on my skin just to see if it develops further, but I can tell that this is an elegant, soft, inoffensive fragrance.

Reminds me of Lyon. In this city I smelled this beautiful perfume for the first time (at that time I didn’t know what the perfume it was) – a woman at the intersection so I’ve never met her again so this perfume… until a blind buy! I read the reviews that this perfume reminds of France, I decided to give it a try without high hopes though and it turned out to be true! In my case – literally. For me there is something from the old school perfumery that you don’t find these days but it’s also very modern at the same time. Was surprised that Place Vendôme is classified here primarily as sweet, I’d say that it’s more floral than sweet with some citruses in the opening. And the sweetness here isn’t gourmet. Very feminine. Love.
    P.S. Beautiful bottle, long lasting.
Summer weather update: the end of March, East coast, DC +25C (+77F) It’s sweet. It’s primarily sweet and I could barely catch the notes that I like in this perfume so much. Set aside until autumn.

Well…not sure what to think of this. I liked the opening of this perfume despite the generic sweetness but then it subsided to a not very interesting scent. It can be used for everyday, nothing special and the bottle is much more interesting than the scent itself.

Absolutely charming, elegant, sophisticated and classy perfume Place Vendôme but it is taken in a more modern way, very trendy sweetness for ladies over 40.
It’s very wearable, perfectly balanced, noticeable. I’ve gotten a few compliments from co-workers male and female.:-)

This was a blind swap. Many of my blind swaps are not successful, but Place Vendome is completely lovely.
The bottle is absolutely gorgeous. Heavy, faceted glass. Classic and sophisticated. It looks beautiful on a dressing table or vanity.
The scent is just so pretty. Elegant, yet dreamy. It could be a nice beginners gourmand, as it is not totally gourmand, but has elements of honey and praline, yet the white flowers keep Place Vendome grounded and chic. It’s never too much or over-the-top.
Sillage is soft, understated, and refined, but with wonderful longevity. This would be a very safe office scent or perhaps something feminine and inoffensive for a job interview. Place Vendome makes a fine daily scent — easily dressed up for the office or worn with a crisp, white button-down.
I can also imagine stylish Hamptons ladies or Upper East Side women wearing this in the summer in pretty white dresses and pearls. I don’t know why, but the color “white” comes to mind while I’m wearing this. Pale pink or beige too. A scent for a bride or bridesmaid, perhaps.
Place Vendome is innocence and elegance. Prim and proper, as another reviewer put it. Tasteful, refined, and a smart finishing touch for any polished outfit.

Place Vendôme is easily one of the most lovely fragrances in my wardrobe. It is charmingly feminine and portrays a sophisticated elegance. I would expect nothing less from Boucheron, and I am very pleased with this fragrance.
The white flora seem fresh yet warm, the orange blossom smells divine, and the soft scented rose seems as if it was dipped into diluted honey. Because of past experience, I tend to be hesitant to wear perfumes with praline and benzoin. But they work delightfully well in this perfume and I am enjoying them.
    ♥ Longevity is long lasting.
    ♥ Sillage is moderate.
    ♥ I definitely will repurchase!

This to me smells exactly like delicious sherbet and Champagne. At once! End of.

First sniff – strong pink pepper. Second one – honey, benzoin and pralines. Third – jasmine and peony. It reminds me of something, but I can’t figure out what. Maybe of Lady million because of the honey note. Lovely! The only disadvantage is sillage.

Negative review, w/ my sincere apologies; & utmost respect for admirers- This review is merely my own personal opinion. I humbly thank you all, for permitting a counter-view :b (As follows):
Sad corporate sell-out / departure from Boucheron’s original daring perfume treasure- Boucheron; A complex, woody, spicy, artfully balanced & blended floriental. In contrast, this House now seems reduced to pander to the industry’s lowest common denominator- Mass sweet-fume.
Sheer (transparent) Gourmand; Cotton candy-floral w/ notably airy & gauzy effect (vs. thick & caramel). I think this is it’s most distinctive aspect: Translucent, spun sugar, yet w/ impressive presence. Cloying- Progressively sweetens during heart & base. Energizer Bunny sillage & longevity. The bottle (!Gasp!) is the exquisite masterpiece here- Perfume, meh 🙁 Lacks a spine. Or brain. Or heart. Soul-less clone.

Place Vendôme – It is hard for me to put into my own words why I am truly fascinated and overjoyed to have this as part of my collection. I know this isn’t what some may come to expect from Boucheron…something heavy and lingering trail, a monster fragrance? No, it is not a monster fragrance nor is it super strong sillage or explosively strong. I love heavy, strong, in your face type of fragrances; so what do I find in this that has left me sort of speechless?
Sometimes beauty comes in some level of simplicity. No, Place Vendome isn’t simple as it is masterfully mixed and by no means simple. However it is not exactly an a·vant-garde or eccentric scent and that, is its beauty. There is a certain level of elegance, class, power and ethereal beauty. It is rich in honey, citrus, sweet flowery vibe, the sun captured in a gorgeous bottle. Yes I truly get the concept behind this fragrance, the story of light.
Sillage is moderate but the longevity is fabulously long lasting.

This has become my new signature– as in I wear it three times a week in rotation : ) on my skin citrus comes out much more than others from the note rankings: Jasmine and orange blossom perfectly blended with the citrus weaved intricately through and delicately glazed in honey — gently sweet and not gourmand. It’s a warm, femine, floral elixir! Longevity and silliage is very good on my fragrance eating skin. The bottle is beautiful and the price is amazing online.

    After purchase update:
    Well…
    It is lovely, but…
It’s like there is not a good chemistry with my skin, I have to douse it so I can smell it and I have a sense it does not stay there for more that… half an hour.
Also the fragrance is lovely but on my skin it just is not that special.
So I’m glad I purchased the 50 ml bottle and when it’s over, it’s over for good, baby.
Don’t think I’m buying again Boucheron.
