I agree with Q80, this starts like a red rose, very fresh (it actually reminds me of rose scented soap)
When it dries down, it reveals a pleasant cologne concept (freshness and lightness) with a perfume-y twist.
After a few seconds there is a glorious stage of violet, which is very “French” in my book (it reminds me of Balenciaga Paris with its magic violet flowerbed).
But this stage is fleeting and soon gives way to the final settlement, where I definitely smell the hawthorne, a little fragile flower with a light lemony smell. But the main note remains the iris-yuzu mix, which smells citrusy but soft. It’s the kind of “artificial” iris that I long for, set free from the orris root burden that makes it melancholic and powdery, and magnified instead by an acidic complement.
Yes, some artificiality is present… but so is a nice, fresh and lovely scent for casual and carefree days.

Sharp red roses with violets & black pepper.
It starts with a splash of sharp red roses and develops to include black pepper with a slight violets. I believe the iris is kind of there but not sure as the violets plays the major park into calming down the sharpness of the roses. I don’t really know how howthorn smells like but red roses are definitely there and it’s dominant cause the sharpness that it brings is incomparable. I can sense some twists caused by the ylang, but it remains quite sharp and steady with the roses and violets.
Quite an interesting to rose and violets lovers, the calmer it goes the more balanced it became.
