You know, when you are buying from a brand like Pierre Cardin, that you are not going to get something edgy or challenging…so this didn’t disappoint at all.
It is classic, light and lovely. I bought the aftershave, for next to nothing, so it’s not so powerful, but it nevertheless immediately puts me in an elegantly tailored charcoal suit, with a white shirt and sober tie.
very happy

Months ago, I bought four of Cardin’s Collection – Ambre Supreme, Cedar Ambré, Cuir Intense and Iris Sauvage – with little expectations, as a kind of humble hommage for the old and bold perfumes that Cardin produced in the 80’s.
Those little expectations turned into a real surprise: Iris Sauvage is a very pleasant frag; it is the best of the lot. For all of them, the price vs quality ratio is by all means acceptable. The strongest of all four (longevity is their weakest link), IS is a sweet & vivid concoction of iris, cardamon and bergamot.
Medium longevity and sillage, but still a very well done scent, good for the office or for a cool morning, year around.
Overall, a deserved 7,9/10

I bought it expecially for it’s name: “Iris Sauvage”, imagining the glamour impact in answering at the question: “Uhm.. what perfume are you wearing?” .. “Iris Sauvage, de Pierre Cardin!”.. So dulcet. Music.
Officially I bought it also for the price. 9,99 euro. And that was the last bottle in the shop, without tester. I say to my self “if i don’t like it I will gift it to my father”. But I did like, and it will still mine! Actually is a bit “father”, but in a nice and modern way. A way called: Classic.
I could swear there was lavender in the composition, but these is not listed, even a bit “anised-liquoriced” . Don’t know.
Anyway this is a simple but refined fragrance, a musky powdery iris, but also light almost fresh at the begin, but warms all time long. very confortable and comforting. It make me think home, or to a garden close to your house, in spring or summer. Also to a bed linen where pacifically falling asleep. An infinitive childhood.
Maybe is not so original, but very pleasant, and basic, well blended.
Strongly recommended by Me. 😉
Also suitable for women.

A very pleasant, soapy, green, fresh and sweet smell. Very inexpensive and has it’s own character. Projects well. Great value and I love it.

I think i found the perfect iris spring fragrance! It’s discreet and not loud. The other notes blend in perfectly. I’m very pleased and looking forward to wear it in the springtime.

I saw this at a local chemist today for $12 (a 75mL with a body spray) so I bought it. Like Pierre Cardin Cuir Intense this is a very understated fragrance. It would be pretty hard to over apply it. My wife and I were on our way out, she had applied Gale Hayman Sunset Boulevard (which I could smell halfway down the hallway). Iris Sauvage was easily swamped so I put on something else. The thing is I really like the start to this fragrance: the Cardamom gives an aromatic/slightly bitter edge and complements the fruit and vanilla well. That’s about all I smell though and it fades quite quickly. This is about as far as you could possibly get from a powerhouse scent. It’s a good deal for the price and I do not regret shelling out the meagre amount I did.
