Description

Charriol presents new edition for men, this fall, as reflection of the founder of the prestigious brand Charriol known for jewelry and luxury watches – Philippe Charriol. Philippe is a man who introduced his personal, authentic stamp and gave the Charriol collection a dose of elegance interpreted in contemporary manner. ‘Passionate, ambitious and instinctively, he travelled the world, with abundance of energy ad curiosity.’

Philippe Eau de Parfum Pour Homme depicts his style and character. The composition is rich, sophisticated and powerful, designed for a very masculine and strong man with an appetite for life, who enjoys challenges and passion of each moment with sensuality.
Top notes provide a blend of citrusy-aromatic freshness b mixing notes of marjoram, tangelo and cardamom. The heart is enriched with characteristic, warm and resin-like accords if labdanum and amber which delicately warm tart geranium and spicy-sweet cinnamon. Base of the composition is warm, masculine and woody, composed of cashmere wood, cedar and milky sandalwood. Perfumer of the composition is Christian Vermorel of Mane Company and the perfume is characterized as oriental-fougere.

Charriol Philippe Eau de Parfum Pour Homme is available in transparent flacons with massive cap in silver color, differing from previous masculine flacons of the Charriol collection. The fragrance arrives as 100ml Eau de Parfum Spray. Charriol Philippe Eau de Parfum will be first presented at the TFWA in Cannes, end October 2014, and will arrive in sale from October 1st 2014.

Regardless of the notes listed, Philippe smells very similar to Givenchy Xeryus Rouge – but better and more superior in quality.
Xeryus Rouge always gives me a headache. It is just too strong, hard like concrete, and synthetic. However, with Philippe, I feel it’s organic and breathable.
Both have superb longevity, with Xeryus Rouge slightly above Phliippe; so do its projection and presentation. The fiery red flacon is indeed sexy and inviting!
But quality and scent wise, it’s Philippe.

    ~ Luxurious ~ Classy ~ Manly Sophistication ~
Sweet and spicy with a Honey/Citrus like aroma neither too sweet or harsh ~
No one ingredient exerts true dominance ~
    Easy to wear.
The bottle is heavy chunky glass and the cap is solid and worthy.
A fragrance for the modern gentlemen.

I did a mistake blind buying this. Don’t be fool by the top blast like I did. Smells great but at the drydown it smells dated. Longevity & projection is poor for an EDP.

    Received this one today.
and damn, it does smells good ! it’s unique, never smells anything like this before.
    like Dremerick said,
its like they squeezed a tangerine into it. and the amber softened it and makes a beautiful juice altogether.
    bravo Charriol !
    Scent : 9 out of 10 , its unique !
Longevity : cant give the score yet, but seems like it will stays for quite sometime.
    Projection : moderate
overall : Give it a try. once you’ve tried it, let us know what the result is.
    edit :
    after a proper wearing yesterday.
Longevity : 9 out of 10 (10 hours on my skin)
Sillage : become a skin scent after 6 hours or so.
    what do you expect?
it is indeed a masterpiece by Charriol !

Gave this a proper wearing yesterday after blind buying; as I love and was so satisfied with Royal Leather and Charriol Man.
Charriol should just put the “satisfaction guaranteed” label on their fragrances . . .I’ve never been anything but totally satisfied with Charriol fragrances. This is true with Philippe.
Initially there is a sweet orange (tangello) herbal smack. This is shortly followed by a true sauna feeling cedar. Woodsy, spicey, and warm. Finally the amber and sandalwood smooth and round out the composition. A very masculine scent. Suitable for any season, day or night, casual or dress. The most easily wearable of all Charriol frags.
I have to add, I have kinda fallen in love with Charriol fragrances. I find them to be of the highest quality, apart from the norm of high designer frags, and very wearable; like a second skin. I would guess its the ingredients and the care given in production . . .but, its like they squeezed a tangello and shredded the cedar and stuffed it right in there. Just like in Royal Leather . . .its like they took the most expensive black leather sofa and fit it in the bottle. REAL . . .not just a good factsimially . . .but REAL.
