This oddly reminds me of babies.

This does smell like mens shaving cream at first. I can smell the pine strongly and pepper.
Then the citrus notes. I can even smell the pomelo ( love them). It makes me think of dish soap in the end.
This is definitely not a scent for women.

Smells like men’s aftershave. Also very similar to Fierce.

This scent is very good, better than one would expect for something aimed at a young audience and for the price. A lot of more supposedly legitimate fragrance makers shoot for this kind of scent, and miss. This one gets it right.
It smells woodsy and fresh with a small amount of orange and hint of spice. It does conjure images of leather, though there’s no real reason for that. Maybe just my imagination. It’s relaxing and comforting despite the masculine notes, which too often conjure “office appropriate”. This is more like a weekend bonfire.

Geez… I never thought I could dislike a perfume so much. I sprayed this on my wrists in the store about an hour ago, and it dried down purely sour and bitter. It smells almost exactly like the inside of an old car that someone smoked in for years. Awful scent.

Oh wow! I must say …… This is the first A&F perfume I have ever liked and owned. I actually cringed when I was making a line to buy this. All the negative opinions surrounding the brand and the image of youth plastered throughout their walls, the hoards of loud kids inside the store couldn’t keep me away from this perfume.
What a surprise this was! Its like meeting a girl!
It introduces itself being quite boyish and rough. The beginning is reminiscent of a males cologne. I suspect this is all about the “pine” notes doing their work.In fact I thought I had sprayed the male version so I decided to ignore my wrist and walked through the store oblivious to the transformation that was taking place. As the scent developed on my skin it grew a whole new and “clean” persona. A soap and flowers scent so soft it was actually discreet. I was so attracted to the purity of the composition (Im so used to being bombarded by complex perfumes). It relaxed me to the point I forgot about everything else going on around. It reminded me of body lotion, feel good showers followed by white towels, a cool breeze wafting though my window. I guess it must be up to your own skin chemistry to make this scent grow and blossom. As the scent develops the most beautiful flowers bloom in the middle and in the dry down. Its a boyish girl finally showing off her feminine personality. It is surprising, lovely and sexy. The girl turns out to be quite smooth, a beautiful contrast to every girl you know, rarely uncomplicated, easy to hangout with and classy to the point its endearing. The ending is a refreshing version of a vase filled with white and soft fluffy blooms…. the kind you have to lean in to smell. I almost smell a clean musky note in the end but I really couldn’t be sure of this…. it might be my own skin chemistry.
No. 1 is that girl you have known to be a somewhat simple, she goes to parties with wet hair and just a dab of lipgloss, she’s a little rough around the edges, even a little masculine sometimes but then one time she wore that dress and completely changed all your thoughts about her.
It is a light, clean and close to the skin scent. Its the one you wear when you want a guy to lean in.

I’m a huge fan of Abercrombie’s other fragrances, but I’m luke warm about this one. It smells straight up like a Christmas tree. Seriously. If Bath and Body Works made a Christmas Tree perfume and this were put in the bottle, it would totally pass for a Holiday Edition XMas Tree scent. It’s not bad in that “cheap 99 cent pine tree air freshener” kind of way. Nor is it revolting in that “I smell like I spilled Pine-Sol on myself” kind of way. It just makes me feel like singing “O Christmas Tree. O Christmas Tree!”. Not my original intention when I purchased it. Yes, it was a blind online purchase from their official site since I love A&F’s other scents.
I vaguely detect the sandalwood and mandarin. This would’ve been so much better overall if it had more of those two notes, and maybe something else to make it more original.
Unlike the other A&F Perfumes, the sillage and logeivity on this are very poor unfortunatly. I can barely smell it unless I lift my wrist up to take a whiff. So I find myself spraying about 5 sprays just to make it detectable. This is one of A&F’s newer scents. Did they start diluting their newer ones?
I’d repurchase this on sale, but not at full price. I’ll stick with Abercrombie 8. Now THAT’S worthy of being a signture scent.
On the plus side, I love the bottle! Such a cute little bow!
The official site also lists lotus blossum and White Pepper as notes. I don’t know. Still smells like mainly pine to me.
Update: I sprayed myself with this all over, I kid you not, about 15 times before I left my house. I could barely detect it on me then. And I don’t smell it at all now an hour later. They should rename this “Water” or “Disappear”. I’ve only had it a few weeks and it already has lost its oomph…not that it had much to begin with.

I bought this perfume because A&F always perfumed their clothes and I fell in love with this scent.
The buying is not disappointing at all. I used it every day before going to work (though I think it is better to wear for night) and it always spells so good and gives me good mood. But it does not last very long.
I like the bottle too, simple but elegant. The bottle is of nice work and quality, not like some new perfumes since a few years, you can tell that the bottle despite the new design looks to cheap.

I tested No. 1 out today (12 hours later I still smell it on) and was already worried it would turn out far too masculine, after reading all the reviews, before even spraying it on.
Honestly, I found this gorgeous on. Very sexy and musky, yet refreshing at the same time. I caught some citrus too. It could work being unisex but I feel that would be an unwise choice as it danced between being ultra feminine to sultry vixen to unisex on me. Test it out before buying if nothing else.
After deciding I liked it, I blind tested my family to see which they preferred: Alien, No.1, or L’Eau d’Issey. They all preferred No. 1, although Alien was a very close second.
I don’t see a teenage girl pulling No. 1 off at all. It needs a wearer who is mature, skilled, confident, and knows what she wants and how to get it — think mid-twenties or even a teen who is mature beyond her years. Great for a formal-casual event, hiking, or everyday wear.
I might pick this one up later but I wasn’t thrilled enough to go out and buy it immediately simply because I already have a large wish list as it is.
    6/10

this is a very strange perfume ,confusing masculine very masculine it can easily be a unisex..i think i like the mandarin in it the freshness the muskiness and the balmy powdery woodsy notes..its a light perfume a fresh one good for work school or college its not a signature or distinctive perfume..but uyou can call it a nice perfume i guess for the armature noses..its a crowd pleaser a simple..everyday scent..thats not offensive to others and will just make you blend in with the rest of the crowd..it smells clean as if you have just showered..good for summer ..

I think this was one of the worst perfume purchases I ever made.. I ended up selling it, since it was way too loud and masculine for me. At first I liked the fresh notes, but when you wear it for a whole day there’s only the musky, masculine scents left.. It’s not very nuanced at all :/ despite the cute flacon, this really is a masculine scent to me.

Smells good, but yeah, a bit masculine for my taste. My friend said it smelled like old spice aftershave after a while. But it lasts for a long time!

A first A&F fragrance to my perfume wardrobe. I love the fact that this is a different fragrance. Sadly does not have good lasting power on me. Was hoping for the “wow” effect.

I received this free with a recent Abercrombie purchase and think its wonderful! Its completely different than any other fragrance I have. Many would think it to be on the unisex side but its really appropriate for a woman! Its really sexy.

I just want it. LOL I love abercrombie and their clothes! I never had it before either!

Fresh and citrusy at first. Then much to masculine for my taste. Does have good lasting power.
