God made man and man made PC02, who do you trust? While you contemplate on that answer, I’m gonna do my best in convincing you to check out this product. The longer you’re in a relationship with anything or anyone, the more the truth comes out. I’ve been in a relationship with gourmand scents for quite a while. What I’ve learned about myself(my truths)is that I like my gourmands loud(I don’t care whom it offends). The opening was a bit regular in terms of typical gourmand characteristics such as warm spices here, floral notes there blah blah blah.. This is a full bodied fragrance with tons of notes to salivate over. In actuality, a lot of these notes didn’t serve a meaningful purpose(so it seems). It wasn’t till I left the furniture store and a breeze from the air hit my skin. I then wondered, “Is that the PC02 that i’m smelling”? I did a double take. In that 75 degree weather, this stuff was PRO JECT ING. Not bad for a scent that’s not intended for warm climate. I had PC02 on one arm and Xocoatl on the other. Patricia Choux creation outlasted Xocoatl in the longevity department but Xocoatl(with less notes) was more exotic. I know this isn’t a Fueguia 1833 review but I had to compare PC02 to something else gourmand. This is a good addition for any gourmand collector.

I had never tested this lovely scent before that I recall. As it opens I definitely smell honey, then spices, strong and warm, then woods balancing the honey. Some sweet scents with wood can be dreadful, smelling like Pooh bear spilled his honey all over the tree and made a mess.
This is NOT one of those scents. The woods smell like a warm boardwalk in the sun, the spices like sun on warm skin. As it develops,at one point this becomes very much a skin scent, with a bit of the animalic sweaty skin note, but not in a bad way, in a sexy, oh, I want to kiss that skin kind of way. In the final drydown, hours into the development, the spices calm down and you are left with more of a slight honey scent with warm woods in the background. This is warm and lovely, perfect for a day at the beach or wool sweater weather in the fall. While I like it, I would rather smell it on a man. Definitely unisex, this can be worn by either sex but I think it would be just gorgeous on a man.

This is a very grown up “turkish delight” dominated fragrance. It opened sweet with a mix of honey and almonds, soon was joined in by a powdery and a bit cloying tonka bean. At this point the fragrance is extremely sweet and feminine, but as it develops woody notes appear making this unisex. What I do enjoy about the woody part is the uniqueness it gives. I’ve tried many sweet oriental fragrances and this is finally something different. Caradmon and bergamot is also right next to the woody note giving this fresh and manly vibe in the background.
What I do not enjoy is the tonka bean, I do sometimes have a problem with in in perfume when it is added as a dominant note as it is here, but it is just me and my preferences.
All in all – this is a unique and high quality niche stuff, worth a try and worth a full bottle for those who love a bit cloying and sweet perfumes. And don’t be afraid to try this if you are a male, yes it is sweet, but the heart and drydown is 100% unisex.

Gorgeous. I ordered it like a sample glass vial from Luckyscent together with a bunch of CDG perfumes and this is the only one that I’m not offended by.

This is something! At first- honey with roses, then becomes balmy and after an hour there is just sugar on my skin. Beautiful!

Warm, sweet (too sweet perhaps) and creamy with a faint suggestion of something like aniseed or liquorice – that must be the cardamom. Reminds me of vanilla ice-cream melting over a hot pudding!
The combination of honey and vanilla is too much for me, I prefer perfumes that are sweetened with fruits instead. Longevity is good, lasting most of the day.
This smells very gourmand to me, but you may not think so. I guess it all depends on how you feel about honey in perfumes. I don’t get ANY rose at all, which surprises me because I often find I can pick out rose in a perfume at fifty paces and it usually turns me right off.

Warm, sweet wood. Spicy on the oriental side. Musky, honeyed patchouly heaven. If Nag Champa was liquefied it may smell like this. I never do get the bergamot and the flowers are ethereal, barely there. This is one to love forever. Not overbearing but just this side of sweet woody gourmand. Good silliage. As it dries down it is a nice skinscent for my chemistry.
It’s not specifically listed but I could smell guaiac, my all time favourite wood note. I’d never want to run out of it. Perhaps ideally suited for fall or winter but the choice is yours. Isn’t it nice to have choices?
P.S. Luckyscent.com also lists white lavender as a note.

PC02 instantly evokes nice pictures for me. I smell a breezy ocean pier in bright sunlight, I smell making coffee while the shortbreads are waiting to get into the oven. I love this scent! Ususally I get bored after wearing something a couple of times but PC02 I have had for half a year now and still have not got tired of it. Contrary to some other reviewers, I do not find PC02 ‘syrupy sweet’ – not at all! I find this Biehl creation warm, inviting, comforting, quite eccentric but also lighthearted and airy.
Longevity is fine; applied in the morning, I can still detect it at 10 PM. I just have to say, I never get any compliment wearing this :-/ … Some people even ask ‘what is this smell, have you been cleaning paint’ – or ask who’s wearing bug spray – and that defines ‘niche perfume’ right on, doesn’t it…
Update: I found that the perfume smelled more and more of ammoniac. It was maybe because the substance changed as the roll-on bottle got older, or my skin chemically changed over time.

    this is a big WOW.
honestly, not a big fan of definite spicy perfumes but again, the notes lured me into ordering a sample (not sure why it is categorised chypre fruity).
this one starts off with a mouthwatering citrus and spice-burst.
i really cannot compare this to anything i have smellt before. it keeps the citruses, evolves with the spices and is flavored with a drop of honey.

The spices, almond & freesia mix like a liquid candy scent on my skin…Not at all sickly sweet, but in a ‘can’t wait to see what flavor my nose gets.’ The woodsy, tonka bean and white honey seal the deal for me…It’s a KEEPER!

The first time I tried this, it was al milky honey and vanilla musk with spices and cardamom. Foody, and rather delicious with a smokey incense vanilla note at end that was gorgeous. On a second try, it went on just like bug spray and took an hour to get to the sweet vanilla incense. I blame chemistry, but it’s definitely an intriguing fragrance with layers and personality. It’s not quite gourmand, but it’s got those earmarks.
