This perfume smells exactly like the inside of Bed Bath & Beyond!

Pavane 1:
A smooth, creamy fruit scent, with a tropical edge, and something with it that is green and fresh, and a little floral. The notes come together in a way that reminds me of the fresh opening of Coco Mademoiselle (the lychee and orange blossom?) over the mango-melon lifesaver candy, but only mildly sweet. Because it is a perfume oil, it starts off with a good amount of strength and then settles onto the skin comfortably with a polite sillage.
It is very graceful and joyful. Described on the website as “dazzling top note” to be enjoyed on its own, or used in combination with Pavane 2 and Pavane 3. I really enjoy this by itself, but especially love it when blended with the other two scents in the line.
The scent is inspired by music, specifically Faure’s Pavane, but I am reminded of the serene stringed opening of Pachelbel’s Canon in D: Adding Pavane 2 and Pavane 3 is like the entrance of the additional instruments and layered melodies in Canon that swirl and rise in volume and cause the heart to swell.
The Pavane line would be perfect for a wedding–I can imagine a bride and her bridal party wearing the different blends to create something lovely together, or the beautiful candles used in the dressing room or on the tables at the reception. Very elegant.
Notes:
sweet lychee fruit, fig, orange blossom and fresh cut grass
