Description

Masculine and very modern Pasha de Cartier Edition Noire was created as irresistible reinterpretation of the legendary Pasha de Cartier edition from 1992. The house of Cartier in its collection also offers several versions of the first perfume: Pasha de Cartier Edition Prestige Acier from 1992 and Pasha de Cartier Fraicheur Menthe from 2010. The latest edition is a combination of fresh green citruses and powerful deep resins contributing to intenseness and creating a masculine blend of the urban and the charismatic.

Top notes of the new fragrance Pasha de Cartier Edition Noire provide freshness in green and fresh citruses, balanced perfectly with warm and cuddly aromas of woody amber and cedar accords.

Pasha de Cartier Edition Noire arrives in the bottles shaped like the original perfume Pasha de Cartier with a body in matte black color and metallic silver stopper. The elegant flacon is inspired by Cartier pencil design. The metallic stopper is embellished with characteristic triple Cartier ring. Outer carton poses contrast to the bottle with its strong red color. The fragrance arrives as 100ml Eau de Toilette.

Pasha de Cartier Edition Noire was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Feisthauer.

CARTIER should be ashamed to put this generic smelling crap out with their name on it. even at a bargain price it is NOT WORTH IT.

90% Platinum Egoiste, 10% Angel Schlesser Oriental Soul Pour Homme.
Will I buy again? Not sure, but I do like it, and it’s cheaper than the Platinum Egoiste, but performance isn’t quite as crystalline!

I heard much about it, which motivated me to try it and unfortunately he smelled bad
I think I’m the only one who has this opinion.

i Love Cartier Brand. I really dislike this parfume, on my skin it really did not work, the smell is like something that reminds me of davidoff perfume. I am disappointed so i bought another Déclaration d’Un Soir so i can feel better :D. I don’t know what to say about the smell because i really hate it. Longevity -1, Silage -1. I love Cartier but this is Axe, Rexona like stuff.

the opening is very Sauvage chemical style. The chemicals dry out a little and I’m getting the florals w/ citrus on my skin. Not too bad for the regular guy looking to smell masculine clean … not very metro-millennial like myself lol. Basically this is a no for me but it’s not bad. As it keeps drying down, it’s becoming what it was made to be. I’m more of a Prada L’Homme type guy.

This is a dessert of bergamot and flowers, although the dry down does get dryer. No thanks.

    Dear reader’s, ♥
I was given this perfume as a birthday gift bywhich I loved receiving a Cartier gift for my birthday.
But to my surprise my b-day gift wasn’t the original Pasha but a new Pasha and a Noire . After I sprayed it in the air, I noticed the scent was youthful and light than the big 80’s version. Pasha Noire has the sophisticated and cool Cartier gene but the aquatic woody notes. This reminds me of relaxed. classy gentlemen who enjoys beauty in people and his surroundings and an aura exclusivity.
    The perfume on me:
the silage of Pasha Noire stood within my body, and its staying power of was like a late summer love affair, crisp and casually sexy but short lived. Although my chemistry brought out more aquatic and citrus woods in the drydowns ..
Both Pashas share the same Cartier gene of assertive character.sophistication, exclusive beauty .If you enjoy a more alpha male/ king fragrance than get 1980’s Pasha, specially when you go out in the night time. Pasha noire is sexy and fresh-personally I think I will use Pasha Noire as a day signature and Pasha for the night.
Both Pashas make a great gift for yourself or a special refine man in your love life, makes a great gift and the scent if sheer class and made to win ♥

I had this for a while but was waiting for the right time to write about it.
I am wearing this now as it is snowing and freezing outside. It is really deep and sophisticated, and I feel surrounded by an aura of crisp and rich citrusy woody aroma.
It is really shining now in the cold weather, which I wasn’t expecting. This makes it suitable for all year round. Still gives me a “niche” vibe due to superb blending and bitterness of the aroma.
I classify this under my “office-safe” collection. It is not cosy or sexy in my opinion, but it is sophisticated, rich, bitter and fresh at the same time. It is a mature scent that exudes quality.
My advice: give this a chance in subzero temperatures, it’s impressive.

A spicy woody amber aromatically uplifted with the addition of what smells like mint. It’s fairly smooth and altogether pleasant but somewhat faceless and lacking in distinction as well. You could do better (Carven L’Eau Intense, for example, or Bleu de Chanel), but this isn’t bad either. I prefer it to the original at least. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you picked this up on a discount but it’s not particularly compelling or memorable. A perfectly suitable office fragrance or casual daytime/evening scent. Decent performance. Final rating: 7/10. Non-urgently recommended for sampling.

  11. :

    3 out of 5

top notes are quite close to original, although a bit lighter…basenotes are imho modern, generic and forgettable (I admit I tested it only on a paper strip, not on my skin)
overall good scent (could have been much worse), aimed at younger customers who are searching for a “mature scent” suitable for office…I´ll stick with original Pasha
    6.5/10

top note is warm and spicy, heart note smells like some kind of soap.

Not bad. No WOW! factor, but not bad. I like the fruity opening – that seems well-wrought. It dries down to an inoffensive, somewhat generic scent. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t buy this, but I wouldn’t turn down a bottle if it came my way.
One of those “office scents.” Projection and longevity are average for scents these days, which is another way of saying disappointing.

  14. :

    4 out of 5

Was given a sample and its nice enough, a sweet floral powdery scent. Classy office or even evening scent, but nothing groundbreaking. I would never pay full retail in a store for this, but would be worth the $30 or so you can get it for online if you’re into these types of fragrances.

  15. :

Received a sample. Very generic, nothing special and scent not that pleasant. Sillage and longevity poor. I won’t but making a purchase… there r so many better.

Cartier Pasha Noire (VS) Carter Pasha Noire Sport
    Winner: Carter Pasha Noire
    Reasons:
pasha noire has a deeper richness / appreciation of interesting notes; which also allows for it to be worn more year round.
pasha noire carries floral, pepper and clove notes:
citrus, floral, wood, spice, and ‘aqua’ notes.
whereas the noire sport version provides a respectable 3 tier; but the light hint of spice gives pasha noire the win for a more intriguing fragrance.
however, noire sport does seem to have a stronger dose of citrus oils, which allows that citrus scent to linger around a lot longer. + although there are no floral notes listed in noire sport, it still feel as if there are floral notes.
    Lasting Power:
noire sport – below average. 3 hours, with the last 2 hours as being a skin scent.
pasha noire – average with 4 hours, last 3 as skin scent.
ages: 16+ for males. 18+ for females

  17. :

    4 out of 5

It is very closed to the sport version. I found the sport version more strong than this. Anyway they are good! Very good… compliments gater sensual and pleasant on the skin! Wow finally a great signature scent for me,

nice piece… fruity and delicious. Gentle , classy and unique water. Well shaped in the meaning that the notes of ingredients above are not able to visualise the real touch oft it.
I get more flower mix from it on a semi- warm rainy sumer day. I bet there is no mint, but instead may be a almost unnoticeable piece of vanilla. Just the citruces and the cedar are not offensive or vibrant. Delicious juice! I want to bite my hand :))))
There is no possibility to hate it as a man or woman. Not an offensive fragrance bomb, but capable enough to defend your clothes from cigarettes or cigar after-smell for example.
NOIR?! No idea what is the meaning of this… I must perhaps turn off the lights and see what happens .Hi-hi! the fragrance is so sexy to me and 100% i will find somebody attracted from it to investigate its dark side. 🙂
One more thing … I really have no idea how somebody can create a certain fragrances , that starts smelling after a minute or two. Cartier does the job!!! UAU! :))))))))))

  19. :

This is a lighter version of LA NUIT DE L’HOMME LE PARFUM.
that means that PASHA NOIR is a GREAT scent.
The couple of guys that wrote that this is a so so frag or even a bad frag should have their nose replaced.
The YSL LNDH Le PARFUM is probably in my top 5 fragrances. I will by PASHA NOIR to save some money and use both of them.

Fucking Cartier, they really do it best.
A soft sweetness with a mysterious feel.
I just quoted Jettison in the above lines.
I’m knew to scents, and I fell in love with this one from first spray, I must say u can tell a lot about most scents from the initial spray. This one screams a beautiful tension of sexiness and love. A raunchy respectable potion of intrigue and delight.
What more can one say except go out there and gets yourself a funky bottle of this upper class spray.
    Update
Longevity and projection are mild, apply liberally, u may get up to 4hrs of performance.
    Magic smell though.

I can imagine dry down on a man’s t shirt.
Or.. a smell of a man after gym.
Reminds me something from horse ricing.. a lot of men wear it there.
Its reminds me something for a mn form the end 0f 70’s beggining of 80’s

I simply ADORE this fragrance, i have tried all the versions of Pasha de Cartier, and at some point had all of them in my collection, and this one i have to say is my favorite, i like it even more than the original 1992 version , the sport and the Fraicheur Menthe one. Its classy, manly, refined and elegant but at the same time modern, i love the opening and the drydown, the citrus, spicy and woody combination and also the fresh vibe i get from this is the heart of this Cartier liquid jewel. The bottle is beautiful also. The Pasha line never dissapoints me. I dont consider this as many others have stated here that this fragrance is “generic” and “mainstream”, i disagree with that, if you want generic go with Bleu de Chanel or the vulgar One Million and stuff like that…. This scent can be used with a suit and tie or a nice shirt and jeans, and the age group 25 and up….. Sillage, Longevity and Projection is GOOD, but not great, it lasts on my skin for about 6 hours… I give this one a 9/10………

  26. :

    4 out of 5

This is a very easy going kind of scent. Kind of a minty fresh air vibe to it.
Not offensive and easy to wear. It’s a unique scent to me. I don’t have anything else like it in my collection thus far. Seems more like a occasional kind of scent rather than a signature scent.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

To me, this smells a lot like Bentley Azure or a less potent MB Legend Spirit. It’s good, but not great. I would not describe it as a sophisticated fragrance. I would choose the Sport flanker over this, not that I’m particularly crazy about that one either. The Sport flanker is similarly clean and fresh, but adds a dash of character through the use of the watermelon note (or whatever that note is). It’s a shame the quality of the juice doesn’t match the opulence of the bottle design. Cartier could have a done a better job here.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

Great non-offensive office scent. Combination of aquatic notes, fruit, and a touch of amber. Easily lasts an entire workday and has great sillage. I often get compliments from people walking behind me with just a couple of sprays.

  29. :

I received a Pasha noire sample beside my order, It’s like an aromatic, classic really manly fragrance, smells like ’90 stuffs, I don’t like it, I think it suits more to older men.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I have bought a bottle on weekend, to be honest is one of the best perfumes I ever smelled, it is so different from the original Pasha. The longevity is awesome, the bottle design/color is very good. I think Cartier make a deal with this and that’s the point of the flankers TO BE different from the original, NOT that ridiculous perfumes/flankers of Calvin Klein, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hugo Boss or even Paco Rabanne (the horrible Invictus).

  31. :

    5 out of 5

Delicate, elegant, light, classy, fresh… But enough about me. There’s a bit of hate on this for being called “edition noire” and, frankly, I get where they’re coming from. If this is “edition noire”, the original Pasha must have been as light as a feather. That said, I like to take each fragrance on it’s own merits and I like this offering.
The bottle is very nice, a bit bullet/warhead shaped but there’s nothing violent about the fragrance.
It opens fresh, with a perfume vibe at first, smells a little “wealthy grandma”. That is an indication that this isn’t a typical “noire”. Thankfully, that burns off quickly to reveal what the fragrance is all about. Green citrus’ (noire?!) hanging from branches of discreet trees, a few streaks of sap dripping down the bark on a warm, fresh spring day. There’s some spicy plants lurking about, not many and they are overshadowed by the freshness of the overall scene but they remain.
I think this scent would be perfect for a day function, when you want to smell good but not loud. Its classy, not for clubbing but more a wedding or suit and tie event.
Strangely, the projection is moderate but the longevity is great.
So, I like this as you can probably tell (if you are still reading). I’ve got a bottle BUT I’m not sure if I’d buy another. That’s the acid test for me. I’m not saying I wouldn’t but I’m not sure. Time will tell…

I received samples of this when purchasing Declaration d’un Soir. Personally, I like it a lot! Not enough to buy a bottle, but it is very pleasant – spicy, sweet, woody.
Reminds me a lot of what I remember smelling from Antonio Banderas Antonio, just more spicy and more refined.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

This stuff smells great, fantastic citrus-amber up top, backed up by pepper and a faint hint of iris. I can see this one as a big compliment-getter, and a modernized version of the original Pasha, which is a bit more “classical”, and probably comes off too complex and stuffy for the younger crowd. I also am finding a very striking resemblance to Gucci Guilty Black, a fragrance which seems to garner lots of compliments, but somehow gets a lot of hate here on Fragrantica for being a synthetic mess. It’s true, but I think Pasha Noire smells equally synthetic, and equally good. Try them side by side and let me know what you guys think…

  35. :

    3 out of 5

I love this stuff, but I recently noticed that it smells exactly or I should say another that I have smelt exactly like it, Daddy Yankee by Daddy Yankee for men. Still a great fragrance.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

Masterpiece – I got a sample and loved it, my order finally arrived yesterday, wore it today and right out of the gate, effusive praise from my barista 🙂
This is a seductress, ideal for office and evening wear. Like others mentioned – despite the name and the bottle – I like this for Spring/Summer and the original Pasha for the Fall/Winter.
For casual wear I’d go in other directions, but I will wear this when a statement is called for. I feel like a million bucks when I am wearing this scent.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Great fragrance, as usual to be expected from Cartier, good projection and above average longevity.
interesting scent that definitely has no chemical smell to it. For once I found a summer fragrance that doesn’t smell like a glass of juice!

  40. :

Not sure why all the hate about this frag….although most people seem to be more disappointed in Cartier. Some people don’t like the black bottle given this is a “fresh” scent.
I would have to disagree…I find this to be a darker, very smooth, night out kind of scent. This gives me the same vibe as “Mandarina Duck Black.”
I am just about 50/50 with this scent as of now. I doused a card with this (4-5 sprays) and took the card home so I could continue to smell this, because I just wasn’t sure about it.
There is no doubts it is a very pleasing scent. I liked it when I first sprayed it. The only problem is, i get an inconsistency when I smell the card. Sometimes when I smell it, I get a generic cloying scent. Other times, I get a lovely, super smooth masculine blend. Somehow the citrus and amber make a crazy sexy blend.
This is really tough…if it was consistent, I would have to drive back and buy the bottle…because it’s reallyyy nice….. Like really nice.
I must say I did find a bottle online for $35 NIB….I have to give in. When I get the good whiff on the card, I am HOOKED. Lets see how this does on my clothes/skin.
Scent: 8.5/10 (without the cloying I sometimes get)

  41. :

    3 out of 5

Very minty in the opening but I don’t see mint listed as a note. It’s very similar to BDC without the incense and safe to wear year round and almost anywhere you want.

Really nothing special, nothing sophisticated, nice smell in the opening for about 15mins and after that is just too mainstream smell, reminds me of some bad version of Montblanc, Hugo Boss or something even worse. This fragrance is for young boys…

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Having not been familiar with the original Pasha before encountering this flanker, it was an affable discovery nevertheless.
A fruity fresh clean that, while not exactly exceptional, is certainly respectable enough.
Some may complain that the black and silver domed semi-phallic bottle and packaging are misleading given the arguably light and fresh fragrance. I’ll admit that the scent proper didn’t necessarily seem “Cartier-esque,” though the conflicting presentation didn’t really bother me either.
Longevity proved above average, and projection average, on a hot, early Fall, southeastern day. Detectably similar to Michel Germain’s Sexual Steele. A tad steep at the list price, and I don’t know that one has to pay the full retail price for the 100ml EDT ($110). But, given the current trend of masculine spicys on the market, this was a nice departure, and seems easily obtained in the more reasonable $45 to $60 range.
    ★★★ (out of ★★★★).

Sooooo….. This one is a classic and simple scent. It truly needs to be on your skin. I have had 2 occasions where I did not like the smell on my clothes.
On those 2 occasions it reminded me of when I lived in Amsterdam and that sickly sweat smell that you get when you sit next to someone on public transportation and their deoderant broke down hours ago or they have pushed it past their 24 hour limit.
I will update as I wear this more. I will say that it lasts all day!.

  48. :

What can I say, scent is 11/10 if you are used to darker scents like Fahrenheit and Angel men. Buy this on ebay for $45 and you won’t regret it. Very pleasing to smell this. It’s May 2015 and once I am out of my bottle, I am stocking up. I have used 14 different colognes in about 6 months and I have nose for good scents. This is a banger especially that my skin eats colognes.
    scent:1110

I tested it again today and it was a great surprise. I don’t know why, first time i tested it I didnt’t like at all.
Some say that it has nothing to do with the original but I don’t agree, I see some conection, like a modern reinterpretation of the original. For sure, it has nothing to do with Gucci Guilty which I hate.
It seems to have a great projection and longevity but I must test it again properly in my skin.
IMO, it looks like if some of the latest scents launched turns again into 90’s style (blue chanel, L’Homme Libre, Givenchy Gentleman and many others)
    7,5/10

I like it, not sure what the other people on here are complaining about. This is a great fragrance.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

This has to be one of the least inspiring offerings from Cartier. I’m not a huge fan of the brand but I respect that their fragrances possess a degree of quality and focus. For example the bravery of a luminous rose scent for men or a cardamom heavy, spicy citrus but this is not what Edition Noire is about.
It opens with light citrus which seems quite pleasing then the monotony begins. It’s a accord of light amber and woods which doesn’t inspire me at all. It’s generic, fresh, reasonably enjoyable, wearable but without feeling cheap. (well maybe a little) certainly not the worst release in recent times.
Yeah so a little bit boring I’m afraid, shame really because the original Pasha is a real favourite of mine.
    I don’t know what’s more disappointing?
This fragrance… or the fact that I actually agree with Wes for a change?

  55. :

    3 out of 5

    Yawnnnnnn.
Doesn’t have much character or personality. Generic woody/ambery. And it’s gone from my skin in about an hour or two.
But then, I didn’t like the original Pasha, either.
“…freshness in green and fresh citruses, balanced perfectly with warm and cuddly aromas”: How is this even remotely “noire?”
    Fail.

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Tried this on a whim as I love the original and the Fraiche version that was just discontinued. The Noir moniker maybe somewhat of a misnomer as I find it light and wonderful and perfect for spring and fall, but will continue to use the Fraiche version in the summer and the original in the winter.

its not bad at all, with pleasant longevity and sillage, in my opinion it reminds me ysl la nuit de lhomme le parfum, or ck one shock.

  59. :

    5 out of 5

In my opinion i did not find it dark at all (according to the black bottle with a silver cap, very nice indeed), on the other hand i find it a more fresh edition of the original. The result is ok but i was expecting much more according to the quality of Cartier’s products.
I still prefer by far the original because nothing is like the original Pasha.A truly masterpiece, authentic and irreplaceable.

  60. :

    3 out of 5

Cartier really seems to be trying to appeal to broader audience than what they do today, because this one is very safe, out of their more mature style and seems to be intended for the average male searching for a fragrance which is a little bit fruity, a little bit aromatic, a little bit woody and that reminds other fragrances already available on the market. Nothing really interesting, but i can see that it will appeal to some, it’s easy to like it (and easy to forget too, since there is nothing really unique or distinct here).

  61. :

This one is awful in terms of Cartier heritage and signature. Noire smells like a spicy version of Gucci Guilty. A synthetic soapy fresh mess with Hugo Boss quality that is really close to Guilty. This could be a crowd pleasing scent, though a big disappointment it is named Pasha.
