Purchased this one a few months back and have to say that it’s relatively pleasing — although I was hoping for a bigger role for the plum accord than it actually plays. The apple actually plays a nominally bigger role but that said, it is the woods and cinnamon that play the biggest roles here. The lemon also plays a fairly noticeable role at times and lastly, the vanilla becomes more pronounced further into the drydown. This fragrance definitely possesses the now, familiar to me, “Galimard-structure” found in numerous of its masculine-oriented/leaning fragrances and this structure is by no means a bad thing — in fact, this house does a pretty decent job of selecting and then the blending of notes. The sillage and longevity of the fragrances from this house are somewhat above moderate. This fragrance, as well as the others I have from this house, definitely veer towards being more “classic” rather than ground-breaking — but there’s always a place in my collection for well-made classics.
Longevity: 2-3 sprays lasts upward of 12 hrs on my old dry
skin
Sillage: heavy-to-enormous
