It is very similar to Oud Satin Mood, which I love a lot. The difference between is that this one is more silky and smooth as its name suggested whereas the latter is a bit thicker than this. The comparison of silk and satin is perfect. I would have bought both of them if I have enough money.

While the EDP does not exhibit that beautiful lush quality the Extrait does, it is still a very solid release at a better price point. Silk Mood is a more “user friendly” portrayal of the Extrait that does not enter the room before you, but rather accompanies you. Very smooth, balanced, and elegant. More of a fabulous everyday Oud composition. I detect hints towards Armani Prive Rose D’Arabie, however, the rose in Armani starts of much more sweet and jammy- the dry downs are extremely close. But for that opening and mid- D’Arabie gets my vote. From the MFK Oud series thus far, Oud Satin Mood remains my favorite.

Rose and oud r dominate. Longevity and sillage not that great. Amouage Lyric Man a much better masculine rose fragrance. Maybe it’s the hedione I don’t like, but this wasn’t a very pleasant smell. Received as a sample and won’t be buying a full bottle.
