In love with this one. A very original fragrance. Like Apentias, I don’t get any rose or oud, but a strong violet scent ! Like sugar cristalized petals of violet. Unfortunately it has changed. The old formula, the purple one, had a way better longevity, the new one, Grey, is more watery.

I was looking forward to receiving this today. Saved it for the end of my day after washing the day off, so I can come to it with a clear head. I adore it. I was mesmerized by it for the first five minutes when my husband walked by, he turned around, nose in the air, and said :’What is that???’ I held out my arm, he sniffed and swiftly walked away mumbling ‘OK, that is a masterpiece’. It really is. But I do see how you could not like it: this is not suitable for blind buys, as it is so sweet it might turn you off (I blind bought but I got lucky).
Can’t help but marvel at how perfumes transform on different skins. Can you believe I don’t get any rose at all in this? I’m looking for it, but nothing. Not even in the drydown. I get violet, absolutely, I get amber, I get a veil of oud, cinnamon and, what to me is, raspberry. My son LOVED IT, he traced cinnamon and fruit (clever little 9year old). This 11ml bottle will last me 3 weeks maybe? Then I’ll be ordering a full bottle. I don’t know how, but it gives me joy.

Went to Saks to sample the Rouge Bakarat, came out with this. Got addicted from the first sniff.
I kept the tester paper in my pocket and when I got into my car, I stuck it in the Air vent and my car smelled like heaven for at least 1 week.
For a person who was not a fan of Oud till last year, this will change your mind.

This is for the lovers of Baccarat 540. Not for lovers of oud. If you like oud performers that are dark, a little dirty, maybe even a little funky then stay far away from this.
This is a scent for high schoolers. It doesn’t even smell like oud at all, it smells like a hella sweet powderized Jolly Rancher. Mind blown the name Oud is even in this.

My favorite MFK and a celestial experience after it has reached its drydown phase. All elements join to combine a a new singular smell that is out of this world. FK was inspired from the spirit world to be reminded of this magical composition. A++ on a night out that will give everyone in your scent bubble or sillage trail something to remember. This is a scent of the stars and makes the wearer feel like one.

I do not enjoy this one. It is not your typical oud, I like certain oud fragrances such as Oud Ispahan from Dior. This reminds me of watery sweet rose syrup. Not for me.

It is cloying and too sweet for my taste. I had a bottle before, I sprayed once on my clothes and I was disturbed. I gave it to my friend because, It feels like I spill the rose jam over me and couldn’t get ride of it!

I would never suggest this to a devout oudh lover. MFK has a habit of doing oud fragrances for the masses, differently. That’s not really a bad thing. However, one does have to feel a little played when smelling something like this. This is primarily a rose, sandalwood and amber fragrance. The oud here is 100% gentrified. Syrupy, not sharp or unusual. Simplistic, easy wearing. I can’t say there’s anything bad about the fragrance in and of itself.
I will say that oud mixed with violets and iris (on my skin) is very unusual and rarely seen. The oud is almost undetectable, though, which is sad for me. Very creamy, lacking anything that could possibly offend. An oud for those who don’t do oud.

Two of my colleagues wear this. One male and one female and on both this is glorious. I try to sit next to both of them at any opportunity as this takes me to a happy place and makes me admire them both even more for smelling this classy and powerful.

This is the perfume that made me think Francis Kurkdjian is a genius. I was unconvinced when I smelt it on the scent strip, but the generous SA gave me a sample so I sprayed on myself. For the initial minute it’s overpoweringly “medicinal” and herby on my skin, but after awhile it mellows down to a beautiful, satiny-smooth, sweet, most intriguingly sophisticated, mysterious scent! I’ve never smelt anything quite like this. It’s as if a gypsy/shamanic medicine woman attended a Parisian socialites’ ball and somehow everyone got along well with mutual respect for each other! I like this, I like this a lot!

Blind buy this and I never regret. Oh wow. I don’t know why Oud satin mood give me happiness every time I sprayed myself everyday. First spray a little bit stronger and you will suffocate if you didn’t go out inside your room immediately. After a week I can finally wear this during bed time. Not that strong anymore, and guess what, you will fall in love day and night by using this. 1 to 2 sprays are enough for 1 day. Longevity is amazing than your ex. :))
Thank You to the staff of Maison Francis Kurkdjian for the amazing packaging. XoXo

I was yet to find the perfect Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance, and I can see now that I was looking in all the wrong places. It turns out that I prefer his darker fragrances as opposed to his lighter, floral-centred scents. Oud Satin Mood is absolutely divine, and I look forward to the day that I add this gorgeous fragrance to my collection.
Oud Satin Mood is not a typical oud fragrance. In many ways this composition resembles either a gourmand or an oriental vanilla. On my skin it smells extremely delectable and sexy. I am pleased to say that my partner also enjoys this fragrance and was thrilled to hear that it is a unisex offering that he too can wear.
The resinous oud accord has been skilfully blended with the syrupy-sweet vanilla, rich red rose and powdery violets. The overall result is both smooth, elegant and enticing. I would recommend wearing Oud Satin Mood during the cooler months or to a special outing, such as a romantic date or to the ballet.
As Oud Satin Mood is a strong, lasting fragrance, a few light sprays is all that is required. This ‘Oud’ range is more expensive than the regular Maison Francis Kurkdjian range, but with that being said, you are less likely to use up this fragrance as quickly as some of his lighter, poorer lasting perfumes.
To own Oud Satin Mood would be to own a luxury item. Realistically speaking, I don’t need another fragrance as my collection is excessive enough, but I just can’t stop thinking about it and I think I might just need to buy it.

This perfume is heavenly and joyful. It smells like sweet delicious roses with vanilla. You can definetely smell the high quality ingredients. Very elegant. Oud Satin Mood lasts very long on my skin (13-16 hours), on clothes even more and sillage is very heavy. 1-2 sprays are enough.
    10/10.

Smells like an old lady. Like a big hug from an old aunty. The rose is very beastly and feminin in this fragrance, and not like noir the noir by TF. If you don’t like roses, this will be your cryptonite. The roses are so strong in this that even the oud is overpowered by far. And be careful when and where you use this as you will project roses miles away from your body.
Edit: I used this to work and got several negative reactions. One asked if I had stolen my grandmother’s fragrance and one got headache because it was two strong. Only two sprays.

So amazingly beautiful sweet and elegant scent.Oud was there but just to make it more in depth and special unlike any other usual syrupy things out there. The sweet and powdery part made it lean on femininity enough for me to easily fall in love to pay for this rolls Royce. Not yet to mention about the incredibly good sillage and longevity.Absolutely perfect

This is stunning! This must be my favourite oud perfume in the world. I always love oud perfumes but there are not many in the market that fulfill my requirements. I love oud but I do not like them to be too strong, just like some of the oud fragrances from Middle East Brands. Usually perfumists add patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood and incense, etc. into an oud fragrance to make it more woody and strong. But I really hate this composition as it it too strong that the scent of oud is mostly covered and as a result you cannot enjoy the beauty of sheer oud.
Oud satin mood, however, is warm with vanilla and seductive with rose. The combination of rose and oud is incomparable. The oud is neither too strong that irritates you nor too weak that can hardly be called an oud fragrance. Or sometimes the main ingredient is still oud but there are too many other notes of which your olfactry system is sensible to, turning out that it is not a very oudy oud fragrance. There is a notable percentage of oud in this formula which tells you this is an oud fragrance at your first sniff. Whereas at the same time, the ingredients are well blended to create a super unique scent and a warm aroma.
I have also tried the other two or three oud fragrances from this brand, namely oud, oud silk mood, and probably another one as well but I can’t remember the name. All of these are too strong and I will never want to put them on. This one, is forever the best among all oud fragrances.
Another point to mention is that the bottle is delicate and beautiful. In fact I want to say it is stunning again. But, yes, it is extremely stunning indeed. The whole bottle is in deep purple with gold lid and gold letters. I love purple, especially deep purple. It is one of my favourite colours, another being off-white. Similar to oud fragrances, I am extremely demanding in the shades of purple. This deep purple totally strike the chord. Its beauty is furthermore enhanced with the simple yet elegant design of the bottle and under the comparison of gold letters and lid.
Good job, Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I’d say the only disadvantage is the high price tag but I’m sure it is worth the penny.

Wow. This is quite something! An oud/rose for people who dislike oud/rose. I never would have looked at this one, but the reviews prompted me to buy some samples, and I’m hooked.
Oud Satin Mood reminds me of 80s perfumes. Not how it smells, but how it feels. It feels luxurious, perfectly balanced, finely crafted and lasts forever!(But it’s non-intrusive)
It stays pretty linear on me with maybe the first moment reminding me of Shalimar, but that is fleeting. The scent is a sweet, deep, rose confection juxtaposed to a smooth, masculine, very tempered oud. Someone mentioned Yin & Yang, and this scent is just that. A masculine/feminine, sweet/savory, happy/serious fragrance. It is very comforting, and it feels like I’m in some dry, dreamy sauna drinking a rose cordial. I think it might be hard to socialize with this on, because I’d be preoccupied with smelling myself and imagining that sauna!
I think it has a nice trail, but not overwhelming. Full bottle worthy!

I wear this because it makes me feel joyful, it’s one of my favourite violet compositions. A bit sweet and very powdery, just like the touch of a parma violet to the tongue. To me this leans very feminine, it’s seductive but also charming with lashings of vanilla in with the bouquet of florals. The oud here is grounding but not dirty or animalic. Everything is perfectly harmonious. To my mind, it is the standout of the Oud line.

  20. :

Smells really amazing! I get the rose, vanilla, and woody notes. It smells sweet, smoky, oudy and woody. It’s alluring and incredibly sensual. It’s not wearable for me but I love it anyway. It’s extra long lasting and sillage is huge.

Sugared vanilla. Sugared rose. Sugared oud. Sugared benzoin. And finally, some sugared violet.
A beautiful perfume, just one of the sweetest I’ve ever tried. I’d really like to know what it would have smelled like without the toothache.
Edit 6 months later: Now I’m craving this, especially in cold weather. MFK does sweet ridiculously well.

  22. :

    A very seductive fragrance.
You get a well blended, gray man fragrance. Almost like a brooding movie star on a fall day.
It is hard to describe the smell, but imagine if a rumbling rain cloud had a smell and was magnetic.
A niche that is easy to suggest to the young professional.
I got 6 to 10 hours- dependent on weather, with good projection.
It doesn’t speak to my personality, but it might appeal to you. If Reflection man is white, then Oud Satin mood is black. Yin and yang.

Really wanted to try some more MFK’s after an excellent start with some others, however after reading the comments suggesting this was very feminine I was worried I’d made a mistake in picking this!
Let me just say to any guys reading that the unisex classification is accurate. Although I can understand why some might say it leans towards being more feminine, this is not a girls only scent, like those cheapo popular scents you can buy from supermarkets or high street drug stores, which are very girly. This can definitely be worn by a male easily and thank goodness because I love it.
Rose mixed with amped up Violets and Vanilla sounds like a recipe for an out of hand floral party. But the oud brings things crashing down to create this heady, deep and sensual experience. It’s truly deep and intoxicating. Brilliant juice.
Price is eye watering, but it doesn’t feel like a cash cow. Sometimes you have to pay more to get the best and I think Oud Satin Mood is such a juice. You definitely need to try before you buy as it has a uniqueness that makes it difficult to compare with anything else that’s out there already.
You will only need a few sprays at most. Projection is above average to good, it doesn’t fill a room, but it announces itself when people come close, and people sitting a 10 feet away will get occasional whiffs. Longevity on skin is pretty good, lasting 5 plus hours on me, although on fabrics it’s incredible as it goes on for days.
    My second favorite MFK!

Awesome stuff. To me this smells best when smelling indirectly. If you take a direct sniff, you’ll get a bit more of the plasticky smell. But if you smell it indirectly (or on clothes) the notes hold together really well. Lasts forever and broadcasts enough to be noticed. A winner.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

This is definitely the prettiest of the MFK Oud collection, which is to say that the sweet powdery Vanilla which comes on pretty quickly and lasts forever is the true identity of this scent, and not at all my favorite if the bunch.
Pretty scents are not for me, I much prefer the sharper Oudier ones in this line, and even when I sprayed MFK Oud over it, the Vanilla comes back within an hour …. the projection is stronger than the others, which is a pity for me, but perfect for those who are sweet Vanilla lovers. Of course there is more going on in this scent, but the Vanilla takes over and I can’t smell the forest for the trees.
I prefered the Extrait when I tried it in the shop, but this is the one that came in the set. I am hoping to get my hands on the extrait instead! Happy to swap this baby!

A beautiful creation my MFK, and my favorite out of his Oud collection, although I have to say it took a few tries for me to really appreciate this one. When I smell this I get a jammy, sweet rose blast initially and I don’t quite love it. But what really made me fall in love with this scent is the drydown. It is so intoxicating and addicting. I smell violets, vanilla and powder. That jammy rose becomes powdery and has just the right amount of sweet. The oud is there but it is not loud. Oh my god it is such an elegant scent. This is what a confident man or woman should smell like. A+ for performance too.

The extrait shoots me right up to heaven — that violet! It is more Victorian aesthete than Arabian princess. I think of and secretly, clumsily try to imitate Oscar Wilde every time I wear it (violet was his favourite perfume note).
The EdP has considerable longevity. The extrait is gone in 3-4 hours, with unpredictable shocking whiffs thereafter. I offered my wrist to a fragrance-hater after 3 hours and he found no way to complain, although that is his favourite activity. That is how I know my observations are about the perfume’s longevity rather than my nose’s sensitivity.
But the strength… my mother applied this perfume downstairs, and I smelt it upstairs almost immediately. We then went on a bus together and she sent 30 random citizens into an oudy, rosy reverie. She blessed the thrift store patrons with the fragrant presence of that heavenly ambassador, Saint Violet. By the time we got home (a LONG bus ride), I only smelled it in a close hug.
Now here is the most important part of my comment. I hope you all pay close attention. MFK’s sprayers offer absolute control over how much fragrance you dispense. You want just 50% of a spray? 25%? Don’t fear that it will all go wrong. You can put exactly as much on you as you wish.

We bought the 200ml for my father’s 60th birthday…I had no idea perfume could smell like this. My father saw how in awe I was of this perfume and he generously gave me the massive decant gift that came along with the large bottle. I had never smelled, let alone owned or worn a fragrance like Oud Satin Mood before. I could not stop smelling my clothes from that night. It smelled like some sort of insanely rich and opulent turkish delight of roses, smooth resinous oud, and breathtaking vanilla. I wore it to work and people literally told me that my office and I smelled delicious! Within a month I got myself the 70mL bottle.
In a word, the dry down is heavenly. Performance is incredible, the sillage is serious enough to cut through a packed wedding hall with all manner of “Allure Homme Bored To Extreme” and “Who De Chanel?”
Oud Satin Mood started my journey, and will always be special to me.
The smell is to die for. It changed my life.
Francis Kurkdjian is a legend and this is 2nd only to Baccarat Rouge 540 in my humble collection of what I consider to be masterpieces.
Update: I had the honor of meeting Francis Kurkdjian and he graciously signed my bottles…the penmanship was especially nice on Oud Satin Mood!

Absolutely divine! I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. The creamy vanilla and rose makes this oud fragrance smell so clean and elegant. I’m a huge fan of oud fragrances and this is not overpowering like some of the other niche oud fragrances out there. This fragrance is complex and has many layers. It’s also very clean/powdery thanks to Iris. Imagine eating a vanilla flavored birthday cake in bed covered with fresh linens and a rose bouquet sitting closely by the bedside.

Absolutely brilliant! WOW… Soft Rose, Subtle luxurious Oud, Creamy Vanilla- it is absolutely stunning! Performance, and projection are phenomenal. This is not an in your face, hello Oud- and that is what I love about it. This is sexy, seductive, mesmerizing come hither scent that leaves a trail meant to turn heads. Certainly more for fall, winter, and maybe some cooler spring nights. Surpassed my love of Maison Lancome Oud Bouquet (i think- no im sure)… Elegant, Rich, Truly unisex, truly beautiful!

My favourite of the MFK ouds! This will go down as a classic, IMHO! Exquisitely blended, quality all the way. Unisex. I get a huge dose of lychee in this and I love it. Been wearing it every day since purchasing a bottle over Christmas. Boy, does this perfume perform. Expensive, it is – but I don’t mind paying for such quality. Would love to smell this on a man – super sexy. FK is a genius!

Oh boy this stuff is potent! I have a 10ml decant and its gonna last me a very long time because 1 spray is enough. Now that I got that out of the way lets talk about the smell. Ok so what I get is a beautiful rose (and it leans feminine) with sweet vanilla with an underto of oud all laying on a thin bed of floral notes. Very good qaulity and beautifully blended by a master perfumer!

Second discovery of the MFK range. I have the perfume concentration, a vanillic rose that reminds me the lovely but discontinued cheapie Rose Ispahan by Yves Rocher.

pure awesome! I have the EDP, just need 2 sprays at max and it can be worn and project beastly and beautifully even in tropical weather like where I am living, Jakarta it is. My love for this beauty from MFK is eternal. 5/5

Received my bottle of the Extrait yesterday and, holy hell, this stuff mega powerful. Very similar to the original EDP but much stronger and a bit smoother IMHO. The vanilla and Oud are easily noticeable, the violet and benzoin slightly less. A fantastic edition to the MFK line. One spray on the neck is more than enough, any more than that and you’ll clear any room you walk into.

This perfume is simply amazing. I wore a tester for the first time to a Christmas party. In the span of a few hours I got 3 compliments, and the space was indoor, a small house with at least 60 people. One woman came within 6 feet of me and said, there’s something over here that smells really good. She got closer and said it was me. The fact that she could pick me out of a roomful of people, all dressed to the nines and wearing scent, blew me away.
This is beautifully blended, a heady mix of rose, vanilla, benzoin and Oud. Lasted all night and as I write this, it’s the next morning and I’m still picking it up. Incredible.

Fellow men, if you want to wear this, only use 1 spray. For the love of god, please do not douse yourself in this. It is as potent as Dior Homme edp fragrances and Montale fragrances. Also, you must be very put together to wear this because the rose is noticeable. In my opinion, men can only get away with fragrances like this if it’s only used for special occasions and it’s applied sparingly. You want a hint of sophistication and class wafting through the air now and then. You don’t want to choke people out and make them think you accidentally poured your grandma’s perfume all over you in the shower. It’s a great fragrance, but only if used correctly.

Absolutely amazing scent. Warmest possible mix of a soft rose and beautiful dry vanilla.
Oud Satin Mood is a gentle, delicious warm, creamy and sexy exotic scent. It opens on skin with the loveliest of super concentrated, rich, heady rose notes. It’s opulent, ripe and highly sweetened. The oud lingers in the back, soft and subtle, with absolutely no medicinal, astringent, antiseptic or fecal notes.
Very strong on performance for an EDP (I wouldn’t have been surprised if it were labeled “extrait” intsead), the sillage is quite strong, the projection excellent, and I get 7-8 hours of longevity on my skin.
Certainly this is geared for cold weather wearing, and probably leans toward formal / romantic nights.

This is a sweet beautiful rosy oud vanilla scent with tenacious sillage and longevity.
Others it reminds me of are Rose Explosion, vanilla flash, and Roses vanille.
Lovely fragrance but since I have the aforementioned ones,,it might be redundant
To have this,,plus it costs as much as a car payment. 🙂
Edit: the more I wear this the more I realize it’s so well blended and much better than most…and silly me wants a bottle, yes, yes I do,or at least a lrg decant.❤️ The quality and refinement are here! Love this stuff!
    HUGE compliment getter!!!!

My sample is an extrait de parfum.
The perfume opens with a geranium accord, a violet touch and a cinnamon trace. All these wonderful smells are linked together with a red bow soaked in oud. Later, the violet becomes more remarkable and the composition gets a bitter touch. All the sweetness from the opening begins to lose ground and gets a little bit puffy. The fragrance remains very sweet but is now more bearable. A jammy rose makes its presence felt more and more. It is its turn to fill the scene. The composition remains like that for quite a time. It stretches on the skin and conquer it with its sweetness. An endless sweetness that makes you think of childhood, sweets and cotton candy; no worries, no problems, just sugar. This is ‘oud satin mood’ for me.
By the end, when everything starts to get lost, notes of vanilla and amber appear. They give to the composition a creamy, sticky facet, as a candy filling. I wanted to eat it, not smell it.
Projection is good and longevity is above average. It remained an entire day on my skin.
So, if you like oud and you want to smell sweet, sweet, candy-sweet, try it.

In the expert hand of Francis Kurkdjian, oud is more than a trendy ingredient or predictable element- it’s a fabric, to be spun into pillow-soft, dazzlingly sheer compositions that take our breath away. Oud Satin Mood, the newest from this master craftsman, weaves a shimmering robe of oriental spices, exquisite oud, elegant florals and a mouthwatering base that combine to flow across the skin in delicate ecstasy.
Each breath brings new delights, from the bright, lightly candied violet of the heady opening, to the smooth, purring Laotian oud that curls on contact with a regal Bulgarian rose essence and Turkish rose absolute, softening into a rich, vanilla-scented amber accord that gently caresses every inch of your skin in a cloud of pure sensuality. As befitting a satin garment this elegant, Oud Satin Mood would surely turn every head wherever you might go- but when it makes you feel this incredible, are you sure you don’t want to stay in?

I just got my sample, so here is a first impression.
I have tried the original MFK Oud, with the Oud and safron combo.
Satan Mood had less rose than I was expecting, less feminine than I expected, and not as impressive as I expected.
The original Oud is the best, more woody, more spectacular.
Satan mood has more benzoin than Oud or rose.
It’s very nice, but smells rather conventional, not so special.
This reminds .e a bit of Lyric Man Amouage, which I sold because it was too feminine for me. Satin Mood is less feminine than Lyric, the rose is well blended into an accord with the benzoin and looses some of It’s singularity.
The Oud here is a bit sharp reminding me of the Oud in Epic Man Amouage.
So this is a rose and Oud combo, it could be a good men’s rose fragrance.
My #1 fragrance is MFK Lumiere Noire Pour Homme, which is a male rose fragrance, but so much nicer and more polished than Oud Satin Mood.
This has a vegital sourness, maybe representing the greenery of the rose. Maybe my sample has gone sour, but it makes me think of the flesh of the dark red rose. This sour vegital quality does brighten the composition, for balance, as there are no citrus notes. Francis Kurkdjian seems to know how to brighten a fragrance without citrus notes. Even his “Oud” original fragrance has a brightness to it.
If your a rose lover, this may work for you.
I think it leans masculine for a rose fragrance, so woman beware.
    Rating: 8/10

Oud Satin Mood. My goodness is this one phenomenal. Definitely one of the sexiest fragrances out there. Sweet vanillic rose with benzoin and a touch of violet and oud creates a veil of satin smoothness. This fragrance does not develop and change in any way throughout it’s lifespan (which is easily at least 8 hours) is actually a good thing since it smells amazing, I would not want it to change in any way. Interestingly enough it reminds me of airports. That may be due to it’s strong sweetness, which is reminiscent of makeup and possibly a mix of several different fragrances put together, ergo it can remind you of the stores at an airport. As far as projection goes, it is superb. This fragrance enters the room before you do. You will easily be noticed for 3-4 hours until it calms down, yet does not fade away, it projects moderately after the four hour mark. I would sum it up by saying that if you want to smell super sexy and want to be noticed, this is the one to go for. It does cost a lot, but since you would only need one spray per day, this one will be in your cupboard for quite a while (since I would suggest wearing it in autumn and winter only, too strong and sweet for spring and especially summer). Do try it out, it is definitely a great release, like any other MFK fragrance.

I tested both the EDP and the Extrait today and I much more prefer the softness and tenderness of the EDP but it kept reminding me of something else all day long and then I realized it reminded me of Hanae Mori. This is much more refined but nevertheless it reminded me too much of Hanae Mori to consider it original especially at its price point.

Sexy vanilla and rose with a touch of woody oud. Rich in smell. Best from the Oud Mood line.

While I can smell the rose and vanilla, there is a scent that sticks out amongst all others, and it reminds me of my plastic dolls I had when younger. I’ve tried this twice now, and while it’s long lasting and the rose is pretty, I’m not able to get over that synthetic plastic smell. I’m so bummed as I bought a decant of this.

My review is for the Extrait de parfum version which I clearly recommend despite the price. OSM is the softer and most gourmand oud that is out there, almost not an oud in the sense that if you like the strong pungent animalic type of ouds, this is not it. I love those types of ouds, but despite it I can totally appreciate and love the very soft oud in this one. And because of this softness I will not put OSM in the real oud fragrances category but rather in the vanilla-amber-rose ones with a touch of oud. Beautiful from top to bottom, addictive and, hallelujah!!! long lasting and with strong sillage. Also in the extrait version the notes are more concentrated and round especially the rose and vanilla ones. As an example, I got it in vacation and the hotel room still smelled of it when coming back at the end of the day. Simply beautiful and I think it will project the warm notes even more beautiful as the weather will cool down.
Edit: in cold weather now: the EDP: it opens as before with the oud coming first, a little bit metallic but like in shimmering waves silver silk type of metallic (don’t imagine the Montale-medicinal-metallic) and then it slides into the gorgeous rose-vanilla and still ouddy journey. There is a pronounced powder effect in the middle and bottom notes coming from the rose-vanilla, but it is so beautiful, celestial almost, that even if anybody fears powdery notes, fear not, this is totally different, warm, sexy and anything but old. It comes out exceptionally when the skin warms up. Beautiful beautiful beautiful !

To my nose, this is the least oudy in the MFK quintet: I just smell rose, violet, and vanilla, and very sweet and creamy with it. It’s almost like eating fudge with violet-rose flavoring.
This one is quite linear; a simple, and happy fragrance. Bring your sweet tooth, and don’t expect oud.
