a gift for the oud lovers. although strong leather note is present there as well. monstrous projection but unfortunately dies down in two to three hours.

High quality smell of pure Oud. If you generally enjoy the intense pure oud scent and don’t think it smells like animal feces; then you’ll love this.

My first straight up oud and initially I was a bit freaked out.
All I read about in many ouds were all there, the pungent deep medicinal notes, the dank stank of band-aids….all in all, not very pleasant at all upon first sniff.
Not super easy for most western noses for sure, however, thanks to the previous reviews, I understand the art of laying scents.
I too own Syed Junaid’s Rasikh (not the Oud Rasikh) which to me smells like a bit of a sweeter version of TF Tuscan Leather.
The Rasikh on it’s own was a little too sweet for my liking, but adding VERY light sprays of the Oud Bakhakh on the neck and wrist as a base, then light sprays with the Rasikh may seem to be a bit intense at first, but dries down to something utterly sublime. I often find myself sniffing my arm continually to take in the progression. Very light sprays of both lasted well over an entire day and en route home, there were still traces of this wonderful concoction lingering.
The Oud adds just enough of that stank to offset to sweetness which to my nose makes a very complex and intriguing scent.
I’ve received many compliments using this combo and may experiment with some other variations….perhaps under some Gucci Pour Homme or even a danker version of M7 vintage.
I would suggest perhaps experimenting on the weekend before going prime time.

Oud… this is the first oud I got in spray form and I love it. Lots of noses not familiar with oud and how it smell that includes me until few years from now and I felt uneasy going to people gatherings wearing oud but now with Oud Bakhakh and a little mix of Junaid Alams Rasikh combination works like magic!

Having read many of the reviews of the various oud scents that are out there, I wanted to experience pure oud for myself so I ordered this scent. Syed Junaid indicated this was an arabic scent(no western corruption here). Someone mentioned jaguar piss and someone else mentioned rancid cheese. At first spray it did indeed remind me of jaguar piss, and then rancid cheese. As the scent quiets, you get a whiff of Old Aunt Tessie’s wardrobe that has not been open in a long time and then a petroleum smell — very dry and musty. Not recommended on its own. Having said that….when layered with other perfumes…such as Kenzo woody….the combination is an other worldly earthly delight. So…if you want to add an oud touch…then get this scent. After all, experimenting with fragrance combinations is what this is all about.

Perfume just arrived….will try tomorrow. Definitely not for the faint of heart. This is like the atomic bomb of raw nasty oud. Hopeful that on the dry down, all my dreams come true.
