I got this in a blind swap (thank you, rednut!); I’d read the reviews, which – as usual – were very helpful and I had a feeling Oriental Soul would make me happy. It does – I love it.
As soon as I sprayed this, it reminded me of something I had worn literally only a few days before and I wanted to add it to the “reminds me of” list – but as soon as I checked, I realised that others had already spotted the similarity. By no means a dupe, it is similar to Reminiscence’s Heliotrope (I have added Do Re to the list too, as this is the same perfume); the only listed notes RH and OSPF have in common are heliotrope, sandalwood, musk and benzoin. Sillage is greater in OS, longevity similar.
I have no idea what can possibly be wrong with the noses of the people who think this is similar to Britney Spears’ Fantasy, though! I wonder whether some people do things like this out of mischief?

This is very very good BUT, l knew it had the dreaded heliotrope note which I cannot stand!
I sprayed 4 perfumes early today and this one has lasted the longest.
It would be on my want list if it wasn’t for that note!

I have a “problem” with blind buying and perfumes… lol…. And I’ve got a bug for more vanillas right now. I like them creamy, spicy, sweet, tobacco-like, boozy (bourbon vanilla is my #1 fave note)… I found this when seeing it compared to Lalique Le Parfum- which I like a lot but the spice/herb/medicinal bit sometimes bothers me. However, I’d still highly recommend the Lalique.
Blind bought this when I had some extra paypal money.
First sprays on a tissue test. WHOA! Cake vanilla. Strong and kinda generic like Wal-mart vanilla sprays.
But closer to the tissue I got a very nice vanilla, which although is not unique, is very nice. You get the spice/oud/amber just a tiny bit and it makes this thicker/creamy and more buttery. But it basically is a thick lovely vanilla.
Smells like Lalique but the herbal bits are toned down, making it better for me. Although…. without those unique herbal bits… This is kinda common.
Good longevity and sillage right now. I will wear this. I can’t get enough of scents LIKE this… even if this does kinda remind me of Katy Perry perfumes… like Mad Potion/Meow. However, this is def more mature/sophisticated/quality than Katy… haha.
It is foodie/buttercreme frosting vanilla. Maybe that is why I’m finding it common? No oomph. I almost get something like Tonka from Reminiscence , or Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla- so I’m hoping with a body/skin/clothing wear– I may get more of the base notes. I think the base will make this interesting.
No citrus or floral that I can find. But I do detect the sandalwood.
I don’t get anything dark, spicy like Dior Addict- but maybe I will. I’m not a huge fan of oud, but in this case, I’d like to see it. 🙂 Not too much benzoin for me right now… benzoin tends to make things DRY/dusty to me. I get VANILLA… bit of sandalwood… and then a bit of amber. But it’s like 80%, 10%, 10%.
If Tobacco-Vanilla scents are too “green/tobacco” for you, this would be great. If you like Lalique– you’ll like this. If you think Lalique is too minty/herbal– you will def enjoy this.

This is an amazing fragrance. It reminds me of the original dior addict. Heavy on the vanilla with amber and benzoin. A little bit of something spicy is there too to take the edge off the vanilla and on the dry down, the woods make a strong appearance. It is absolutely gorgeous. it’s deep and heavy without being cloying. It would not smell out of place on a man although I would not say there is anything masculine there, more like it’s not a ‘girly’ fragrance. I prefer it to 2014 Addict ( I like addict 2014)
its longevity rivals TMs Alien and sillage is good too.
I don’t know where it is available in the UK now as I got it at all beauty several months ago but they don’t have it now. It was under £30 for 100ml.
It’s little known so underrated. A winner for me.

If I blind tested oriental soul,without knowing anything about it’s name,brand and price tag,I would guess I’m testing a very high quality niche oriental vanilla fragrance,even unisex but not in my book,far more expensive from what it is in reality(of course I’m thankful and happy about it’s price)
This is a A grown up and multi dimensional vanilla scent.vanilla with right amounts of woody notes,balsamic notes and powder that make it grown up and interesting..It’s warm,sweet,strong,balmy,delicious,lovely
I can’t smell any fruits here,also not much floral notes,the only specific floral which I can name,is my beloved heliotrope..blending very well with a high quality soft vanilla,amber,benzoin,oud and sandalwood
sweetness may be cloying as it’s just sprayed according to tones of vanilla and benzoin,but soon other notes balance sweetness,indeed it still remains sweet but in a deep,golden mature way..it’s unbelievably lush,buttery,soft,cozy and yes,powdery..it makes me feel relaxed and full of self confidence and strength..I should claim I looove it and I believe this is One of best perfumes I own
Bottle is very simple,though heavy and chic,and did I mention great Longevity and sillage?a complement getter
Highly recommend it to oriental vanilla lovers
P.s:I didn’t like oriental soul for men at all
But oriental 2 is interesting as this one and high quality(though smells totally different)

اگه انجل شلسر اورینتال سول رو بدون اینکه چیزی راجع به برند و قیمتش بدونم تست میکردم،تصور میکردم با یه عطر نیش بسیار باکیفیت اورینتال وانیلا(وانیلی -شرقی) و تو دیدگاه خیلیا یونی سکسی طرف هستم با قیمتی خیلی بیشتر از قیمت
واقعیش(البته بسیار راضیم از قیمت کنونی
اورینتال سول، عطری قوی،گرم،شیرین،بالمی،خوشمزه،کمی تا قسمتی پودری و محشرههه..یه عطر وانیلی چندبعدی و بالغ که ممکنه تو یه نظر ساده بنظر برسه اما درواقع به لطف اضافه شدن نت های چوبی،بالزامی و پودری،جالبتر و خاص تر از وانیلی های خوشمزه امروزی شده
به مشام من نت های گلی غلبه چندانی ندارن،تنها گلی که بعنوان یک نت مجزا قابل تشخیص هست،محبوب ترین نت گلی من،هلیوتروپ یا آفتاب پرست هست که به زیبایی با وانیل نرم و باکیفیت،امبر،بنزویین،عود و چوب صندل خامه ای ترکیب شده و میدونید که هلیوتروپ در یه ترکیب درست چه حس و حال پودری مخملی لطیف و خوشمزه ای میتونه به یه عطر بده
شروع عطر،شاید برای خیلیا زیادی شیرین باشه چون با مقادیر زیادی از بنزویین و وانیل مواجه خواهیم بود،اما خیلی زود،سایر ترکیبات، شیرینی رو بالانس میکنن..البته کماکان شیرین باقی میمونه،اما یجور جذاب و بالغ و طلایی با ته طعمی تلخ و کمی چوبی ..راستی من کوچکترین ذره ای از نت های میوه ای نمیگیرم ازش
این عطر، از محبوب ترین عطرهای وانیلی شرقی من هست و بشدت جذاب،گورماند،نرم و بدون زاویه و دوست داشتنی و آرامش بخش هست..مثل یه شیرینی مخملی و نرم و گرم که شما رو احاطه میکنه و حس آرامش و اعتماد بنفس القا میکنه..البته اون رو فقط به دوست داران عطرهای گرم و شیرین و سنگین توصیه میکنم که به ترکیب عطرهای شرقی و عودی با سبک پودری مدرن و گورماند امروزی علاقه مند هستن.ناگفته نماند که بشخصه از عود متنفرم.اینجا حسش میکنم اما خیلی کمرنگ و اینجا اصلا مشکلی باهاش ندارم
شیشه عطر ساده و در عین حال،شیک و سنگین هست و با رایحه عطر،هم خوانی خوبی داره و تصور عطر نیش و باکیفیت رو بیشتر تقویت میکنه
پخش و موندگاری اورینتال سول بسیار عالیه و از عطرهایی هست که توجه اطرافیان رو جلب میکنه
ورژن مردانه اورینتال سول اصلا شبیه ورژن زنانه اون نیست و متاسفانه اصلا توجه من رو جلب نکرد..در عوض انجل شلسر اورینتال 2 بنظرم عطر جالب و باکیفیتی اومد و تستش رو شدیدا توصیه میکنم

بسیار شیک و با وقار- گرم و شیرین در فضایی کاملا شرقی با بوی غالب وانیل و عود، چیزی فراتر از سادگی ظاهر( شیرینی و تلخی روبا هم القا میکنه که شاید پخش زیاد و سنگینش با وجود دلنشینی و خوشمزه بودن بوی آن در تحمل هر کسی نباشه) – مناسب برای فصول سرد

Initially dominated by amber, then mixing more with vanilla and benzoin gives them a place. And yes, coziness flavor directly palpable.

i do agree with the rviwe above it is about dark vanilla fel snsetion of caramel sweet but for mature lady then came the amber at last but no oud very grate scent for women who want smell sweet but in mature way not for teenager long lasting enjoy it very much

I would like to rename this fragrance, “Vanilla Buttercreme Frosting”. It fills my head with vanilla-nice vanilla, not a cheap, plasticky vanilla, but a whole bakery full of vanilla. The amber doesn’t rear its golden head until about hour 5 on me. Otherwise, I’m bathed in the vanilla fog for hours. It’s not a BAD thing, but to me the delicate undertones never come through-no citrus, no musk, no oud…just vanilla and amber. I don’t dislike it, it’s just a little…disappointing. I was expecting something a bit more…complex. Not so. I will be wearing this to bed, as the scent of vanilla and amber tends to make me relax and sleep really well. Sigh…this oriental soul is sadly dressed in a baker’s apron.
