Stunning, better version of Bronze Goddess. On me, BG doesn’t last while this does. I like it but I prefer the Prived Blend Soleil Blanc even though it is double the price.

I genuinely love this fragrance. However, as time has progressed since my purchasing it, I have grown a little tired of it on my skin. I’m glad when this happens because then I can slow down the usage and save it for later on. I’m especially glad because I probably won’t be able to afford another bottle until much later.
It opens as conifer heaven with beautiful fir (or perhaps cypress) and progresses on to a delicious buttery tuberose mixed with lilies and cream. Its unusual, that’s for sure, but this particular smell (especially in the opening) that just conjures many a childhood memory. The dry down is perhaps a bit too drawn out for me, though. I also don’t smell corn, even after reading the reciews – I’m glad. I don’t like raw corn or cooked corn, at least the smell.
Edit: this feels more like an Autumn scent than Summer. Too heavy for the heat, imo.

Smells exactly like homemade corn tortillas before it’s been cooked. So strang and yet I love it. It does dry down to something completely different. The corn goes away and I’m left with a gorgeous musky vanilla. I’m a huge fan of tuberose and this give a beach vibe to the flower along with corn tortillas. Geez sounds terrible but it’s actually delightful.

My first Tom Ford ‘s fragrance. Here in Uruguay we have only a few perfumes brands.
So I have to buy a used 100 ml bottle. I was so afraid because I purchase it only by reading reviews. I have to say that the first sniff….impression was strange… it make me remember a neutrogenda anti dandruff shampoo I uses during my teenage era.
After 10 minutes is quite similar to Olympea Aqua, and then I don’t know exactly but it sounds familiar, cozy, a little sexy and sunny.
I don’t get tortillas at all. I have to say that it’s strange at first but then is perfectly under my skin….it a almost a second sexy skin during 8/9 fabulous hours.
    Love it

I don’t get the bad reviews. This is a wonderful scent. Perfect for summer nights. Though it is called ORCHID SOLEIL, the lily in the middle notes is the master of this fragrance. If you have ever smelled a true, beautiful, lively red lily you know what I am talking about. This is the QUINTESSENTIAL LILY FRAGRANCE. It screams LILY and whenever I’m wearing it someone compliments and some people who have a great olfactory memory even identify the lily notes in it. It’s as solar, bright and warm as it can be. Smells like a tropical night with someone you love.

Today I get the chance to try the Orchid line by Tom Ford. I cant smell the heaviness in Black orchid, but on my skin orchid Soleil is SO strong, it smells like dead people… cemetery… coffin!! Really, it makes me wanna puke and feel very uncomfortable. I am new in the business, I love perfumes but I dont know the isolated notes. Recently i discovered that many perfumes I am not fond of has tuberose and as soon as I got home I came to check whats in it, and there is is: tuberose. I´m sure there are other stuff in this perfume I dont like cuz it really makes sick. But love it or hate, take my advice: DON´T BLIND BUY !!!
PS: It lasts long, I´m trying to get hid of this smell on my hand!!!

This is a quintessential summer white beachy floral (why am I testing it in late September?!)
It reminds me of Guerlain’s Lys Soleia, but also with hints of things like original Organza.
I get a buttery low-key tuberose, but also the spicy thing (Red Lily) which reminds me of carnation – that fades though, down to a woody beachy/creamy sun-tan lotion floral.
It’s not hyper sultry, it’s not like Shanghai Lily but it’s definitely not a fresh floral either.
Smells like a Tom Ford – in other words like someone who wants to live the high life – in this summer floral context a wee bit ‘yachting in Marbella’?! Moneyed but maybe not discerning.
It’s wearable, sensual and speaks of quality in its way – I’d happily wear it in such circumstances if I needed to blend in with that crowd. It’s got a good time vibe, though far from unique.

This is not a pretty smell. It is a challenge. It cooks up in humid weather and lasts all day if you “sweat in it”.
DO NOT BLIND BUY !! That’s for sure!!

Oh goodness. Lots of conflicting emotions with this one. I know deep down whenever I have a rocky start with a fragrance it means I’m going to reluctantly end up in love.. I swear Tom Ford can do no wrong with this Orchid line. But let me get to the beginning..
The first spray is a vanilla white floral mess with tortilla chips. My husband thought it smelled like “an Indian jewelry store” and his brother agreed with me about the corn tortilla note. For the next hour all I could smell was corn.. this was a bit upsetting because lingering faintly but stubbornly under the corn mess was some expensive jasmine soap scent. My husband actually sniffed that one out for me.. told me it smelled like a bar of Thai jasmine milk soap I have. This showed some promise!
Now a couple hours later this has smoothed into the most gorgeous milky, creamy, sugary, realistic night blooming jasmine I’ve ever hoped to find in a fragrance! It is exactly the luscious, thick honeyed scent that hangs in the air around actual night blooming jasmine.. which is an all time favorite scent of mine and has been my white whale in the perfume world. I suppose if I can brave the corn chip opening, I have my jasmine holy grail!
The magic is in the drydown with this one but I feel like the corn chip opening will end up really growing on me. I already feel like spraying it again just to experience it.
I am a sucker for rose gold anything by the way, and this bottle is just gorgeous!

    My latest addiction.
For me, this is all about Summer. Not a fresh aquatic summer scent. More in the same way I prefer Dior’s Dune in the summertime. It even reminds me of Dune a tiny bit, not the notes but the vibe, only sweetened with whipped cream. Hard to put into words, what I mean by that. Basically I feel the need to wear this over a deep tan.
And yes, I do pick up the sweet corn/ corn tortilla vibe, as well as root beer, and I totally dig it.
I read so many comments about how powerfully this projects, and lasts. I had my hopes up, but not on me. No surprise there. 🙁 That’s ok, I will happily reapply this.

When I got a sample of Orchid Soleil with a purchase, I was sceptical to say the least. I’ve always been vaguely put off by Tom Ford’s marketing – it seems to put an awful lot of stress on expensive glamour, which implies it’s not meant for the likes of me, and I’ve never found any of their scents appealing enough to overcome this slight aversion. To make matters worse, this seems to be one of the brand’s most disliked fragrances, and I too immediately hated it when I first sprayed it on. It was just too much, too dense, too rubbery, too sweet – overwhelming was the word that came to mind.
Fast forward to the legendarily hot summer of 2018, and imagine my surprise when I finally decided to give Orchid Soleil a proper test, and discovered I actually quite like it! I guess it must be because high summer is its only proper season: it really blooms in the heat. It’s not a summer scent in the sense that it’s in any way light or refreshing – it’s more like summer heat in a bottle. It’s all about the super rich, tropical white flowers, with an edge of something like burned rubber or sweltering concrete, and a dollop of whipped cream on top. Weird, and definitely easy to overspray, but on the rare occassion it’s right for, it somehow works very well. Like someone else has mentioned, it gives the impression of wearing perfume on sun-warmed, tanned skin even if you’re spending the summer inside in an airconditioned office.
I don’t think I’d ever wear this often enough to justify the price, though, and I still don’t really feel at home in it. On top of that, longevity is disappointing for such a sillage bomb: I only get about half a day before only a vague skin scent is left. So I think I’ll leave it at sampling with this Tom Ford as well, but I’ll remember it fondly for having expanded the horizons of my taste in perfume a little more, and I might even stop avoiding this line – who would have thought!

I don’t smell much besides night blooming jasmine and lilac. This is how it smells on me after it dries down. I love the way it lasts on my clothes and I can’t stop sniffing them. You must be careful about not using too much because this is strong stuff when first applied. I can’t smell the tuberose, cinammon, cypress, but I do detect a bit of vanilla. This is a heady and romantic scent to me.

  14. :

Orchid Soleil is glamorous summer. The first spray isn’t very pleasant. But after few minutes it becomes very sensual and plush, I could smell musky vanilla and tropical coconut-tuberose. It’s like you are wearing perfume on sun tanned skin. That instantly transports me to sunny place even in the middle of January.

Oh no! I was told by a salesclerk at Nordstrom that Orchid Soleil is being discontinued.
This actually came about when I discuss my love for Eau de Soleil Blanc, and she though it was that but I told her it could not be, because they just release it in March or so, and then she inform me it was this. Maybe she’s confuse.
This has quickly become a favorite for me and a signature. No one will every do a tuberose so right. I brought the biggest bottle fearing this day. I hope she’s wrong –I could live without Eau De Soleil …, but Orchid Soleil being discontinued will be hard to deal with.
Diptyque Do Son will be a little helpful( whose purchase is the reason why I nonchalantly passed by the Tom Ford counter.)
I wish more people like Orchid Soleil–on of the best perfume this decade.

I sprayed some on my wrist at a duty free shop today and I could not discern what the note(s) in this. Checking the pyramid and people’s interpretation, I was surprised to see tuberose. Now I love tuberose, but this tuberose is somehow different, like it’s mixed with something else…the whipped cream perhaps? The fragrance never developed any further on my skin, I basically smelled this same sweet tuberose all day. And yes, this frag does have lasting power. I was surprised to see such a lengthy list of notes in the pyramid because on me none of them came thru but that initial sugary tuberose. Disappointing.

The first time I tried this I really disliked it, the florals just overwhelmed me. It was strong, chaotic and cloying. My husband got the corn tortilla vibe from it. Now upon trying it again, I really love it. I get that menthol/rootbeer vibe that I’m such a sucker for. No corn. Just creamy rootbeer tuberose. So strange how dislike can with time turn into love. My body chemistry (hormonal I’m guessing :p must have changed somehow as I am starting to really enjoy and appreciate many other scents I used to hate as well.

I tried it at the store and liked the opening. Sweet, summery, white flowers. But a minutes after spraying on it took a bad turn.
The dry-down on my skin smells like old, burnt popcorn, where the butter has gone rancid.
Makes me sad, as the notes sounded so nice and unique.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

Eating sweet buttered corn in a floral garden while sitting on a brand new lawn chair that still has its “plasticky” smell.
I really wanted to love OS.. and from the notes and write up, I really thought I would. But it’s just too darn weird. Sometimes weird is good… but not this time.
The notes are not well blended and each of them in and of themselves aren’t terribly well done. It really just comes across as a floraly, popcorny mess.
I normally really like TF offerings… but this one took a wrong turn for me.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t smell corn or something that has corn in it. It’s more like gardenia scent to me,straight from the begining to the end. Too simple, too expensive.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

This fragrance makes me a little sad. I *love* the drydown, aggressively. It’s a warm, delicious, creamy, almost coconut-y (the chestnut) comfortable summery experience.
But I hate the opening. And the opening lasts way too long for this to be an easy fragrance to wear. I get the corn comparison, but if I liked it I wouldn’t mind the corn smell. It’s just… It’s too much. It smells very weird at the opening and that lasts for over an hour. It’s a nice little cloud around me of a smell that I don’t particularly like.
I was willing to put up with this, but I found myself not wearing this much. Then I got Guerlain Terracotta and that fills the role that I wanted this fragrance for. Terracotta isn’t as “interesting” as this one, but it is *so* much easier to wear and the drydown of each really is reminiscent of the other, for me. I like the drydown of Orchid Soleil more, and it lasts longer, but I am just too low-maintenance to use something so hard to wear. So I will be selling my beautiful little bottle of this to someone who can get more use out of it.
Oh, btw, this doesn’t smell like the other Orchids orrr Soleil Blanc to me. Maybe my nose just isn’t developed enough to smell it, but I adore all of those scents (especially Velvet Orchid and Eau de Soleil Blanc), and this one just isn’t up there for me.

  22. :

Ok, so I’ve tried this on a couple times at the store now and I can say that I only enjoy the this after it has sat on the skin for at least 15 minutes. The opening I do not like at all, perhaps the cypress or the pepper is a bit too much for me, but I start to enjoy it so much more once the sweetness comes out. I would also describe this as “dry” smelling, it’s not a juicy or fresh aquatic fragrance, it evokes this sense of dryness for me, like sand in the desert. The lily and tuberose are prominent on my skin. I wouldn’t say those are my favorite notes but somehow it works and I don’t mind how strong they are here at all! This really smells expensive. Very feminine, sexy even, but still very, very classy. It becomes more cozy and sweet as time goes by, I would say even a bit powdery on my skin. I’m a sucker for beautiful packaging and this bottle is in my top 10 bottle designs for sure!

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Really not pleasant on me. It starts out with a very muddy note-nothing definite, just a sour, sickly mix of burning plastic and musty old popcorn. Really peculiar and not in a good way. When that burning sickliness goes after about 30 minutes, it’s a non descript raw tuberose. Not for me.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Does anyone else sense a similarity between Orchid Soleil and La Vie Est Belle Eclat? I know the notes listed do not match up, but to me they have a similar smell. Confused.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t know how to feel about this perfume. I usually love tuberose, but this one didn’t work out. I definitely get the burnt corn vibe some other reviewers have mentioned.
It is not a love, nor a hate… This scent is just so peculiar! I don’t get it! The opening is super strong and strange… I can’t discern those top notes, because I don’t get any bitter orange or pink pepper. The opening smells like when pollen gets in your nose and makes you sneeze… Must be the bitter orange and cypress combo? Then there’s a moment of hope when tuberose comes is… And hen it’s just burnt corn all over. I guess some of the notes are clashing big time and it’s just not the nicest blend. And there’s also a metallic vibe going on that makes it strange.
I might give this a second chance and test it again, but don’t think I’ll be purchasing it. There’s something about the smell that keeps me sniffing, but not because it’s delightful and charming… But because it’s curious and odd! I don’t understand this perfume.

  26. :

Velvet Orchid is becoming a true staple in my collection. Some might say it isn’t entirely versatile, but I say the opposite. It reminds me of a green fruit I ate as a child. The whipped cream and chestnut go hand in hand with the tuberose to create something exceptionally magical. One of my top 10s that I need to replace ASAP. I’ve already used half of my 30mL!!

The great thing about this scent and most of tom ford scents that they are very different …
U can hurdly smell anyone wearing it and u can never find someome wearing anything close to it .
Ofc its daring not safe scent .. u should never buy tom ford blindly .. however if u like it will be one of ur favs ..
For me its a great addition to my collection.

Smell very sweet like a cooked corn cob. Nothing about it reminded me of flowers. Not offensive but not a fragrance to enjoy on a person.

Best vacation fragrance for me. Wearing it now in Florida weather. Someone wrote that it’s not for hot weather, but I personally think it’s best to wear when temperature goes up. Today I put 100% Cocoa butter since my skin got dry, and together with Orchid Soleil it became intoxicating sweet smell. Absolutely love it!

This is super interesting. I blind bought this one. It smells like a vintage barbie doll. I have a migraine so I need to give this ine another shot when it has passed (would not recommend wearing this one with a migraine!) but I could see getting super dressed up, high ponytail, frilly dress, and wearing this on a night out. Literally like a barbie doll. I will always go more for Black orchid. it is my number one scent. And alternately Chanel 22, but this one is plasticky, vanilia, and somewhat nauseating so use sparingly. Would be perfect in the winter because it is STRONG. Don’t blind buy. I do it because I personally love having scents that I dislike in my collection for reference, and to wear around the house before a shower, so that when I spray a favorite, I love it all the more. X
EDIT- I sold this one. It was actually too gross for me to have in my collection. Tried a few times after the migraine passed and it gave me a new one haha. Just smelled like plastic breaking down. Say an old doll from the 70’s that’s been left out in the heat for decades. Sorry Tom Ford. I love you otherwise.

Wow. I have never actually smelled lilly in a perfume before. This lilly is so realistic! I get the corn chips association, and it’s the chestnut that you’re smelling. The lilly and chestnut are the dominant notes in this one.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

I’d like to also encourage everyone who is interested in blind buying this one to get a tester first.
This smells unbelievably good on me, no corn chips or any other unpleasant note as others stated.

On me, Orchid Soleil smells heavenly. Its this wonderful creamy, tuberose, chestnut scent that reminds me of a beautiful sunset on the beach. I truly enjoy this one. It works great on me in the hot humid weather of Hong Kong and I feel it is suitable for all seasons. This just smells SO GOOD on me… I can’t stop sniffing my wrists. LOVE IT!
Also, I think the like-ability of this perfume depends on one’s own body chemistry so make sure to try it on first!

  34. :

    4 out of 5

This is the perfect example about how body chemistry is SO important when choosing a perfume. So many people love this and it truly smelled DISGUSTING ON ME. It didn’t just give me a headache, it made me feel sick!

  35. :

    5 out of 5

This is a creamy floral and vanilla scent for me. It is airy and pretty, but it doesn’t knock me off my feet. I have a few samples of this, but would be unlikely to purchase a bottle. I much prefer the depth of black orchid, and velvet orchid if I want something a bit lighter and more powdery. I don’t know that I’d peg this as carrying the TF DNA if I smelled it blind. I’d choose soleil blanc over this for something with the depth of black orchid, but sunny and light for warmer months.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

A very beautiful and airy tuberose on me, sweet but not candy-like. Perfect for spring and summer!
My chemistry tends to eat perfumes rather quickly, so I need bombastic perfumes that on my skin are rather delicious skin-scents and some of them even long lasting.
This perfume lasts not very long on my skin sadly, but I get a decent 4 hours where I smell beautiful.
No corn, no tortillas or anything of the sort, just a light and pretty tuberose.
Mind you, it still has a depth to it, I wouldn’t exactly call this sexy, but there’s definitely a tiny bit smokiness to it.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

I get beach-y tuberose and vintage Hypnotic Poison. Too bad I can’t compare side by side, Dior messed up their perfumes. As far as I recall Hypnotic had loud tuberose and musky woody vanilla, but that could be just my chemistry.
I would love to have Orchid Soleil as summery Hypnotic version. I can make 1 spritz on Monday and I’ll smell like goddess till Sunday. Lol, kidding. I am glad Tom Ford makes strong fragrances with character.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

I try to avoid leaving negative reviews but occasionally a fragrance leaves me so underwhelmed (and in some cases, downright cranky) that I feel compelled to comment.
Orchid Soleil is primarily a tuberose fragrance, which is why I find it so disappointing. There are so very many more beautiful tuberose perfumes out there!
This is a dry, dusty, extremely chemical interpretation of tuberose. It feels like the vanilla and ‘suntan lotion’ vibe have been added to warm the whole thing up. But why? Why oh why? A proper treatment of tuberose lets the flower’s natural creaminess shine. It’s intrinsically warm and buttery. Respectfully portrayed, it wouldn’t need warming up.
I don’t get this fragrance at all. Harsh and unpleasant and lacking finesse.

Went to Sephora and spritzed this on a piece of paper and oh.. my god. It is SUCH a beautiful ”At the beach, fanning myself, chin up, eyes closed and tanned legs” scent. Compared to Black Orchid, this is a much lighter and feminine smell. I need this in my collection as summer’s coming!

  40. :

    5 out of 5

During the first sniff orchid hit me so hard that I instantly frowned. It made me think of an orchid-y toilet spray. For a minute I thought that this one was a miss. But, after a little while, orchid calmed down and perfume got all sweet and sugary and I fell in love.
I think that vanilla adds beautifully into this scent, even though it’s one of the ingredients I usually avoid in my perfume. Orchid Soleil, in my opinion, is a beautiful fragrance balancing on flowery and edible sweet, but, most importantly, not cheesy. I actually think it smells elegant – not too overpowering, sweet, down to earth, pretty close to the skin if you don’t overdose it, and fragile. Very feminine.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Same here, if you survive the killer tuberose the drydown is sweet, creamy, summery and really, really good.
    I‘ll think about it.
Quality is good in my opinion and originality as well, it smells different. To me it’s worth the price.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

    oh-my-god
on my skin it’s like 100 liters of fuel oil with some kind of flower.
not so promising because lasts very very long.
after six hours it calms down something more friendly but it’s a big no for me.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I absolutely love this. First spray, not a fan, but the dry down was fantastic, after about an hour it smelt exactly like Bronze Goddess, difference is this really lasts.. Bronze Goddess disappears after half an hour as its not a true perfume, just a body spray.. Love Orchid Soleil, Im also a huge fan of Black Orchid as well.. which I think is quite similar to Alaia Paris..

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Very sweet. I only get the floral and vanilla. It reminds me of the drydown of Lys Solieiea, mixed with Songes. Smells like champaca, lily and ylang ylang. There is a tiny touch of that poisonous note from the original orchid, but otherwise they are not alike. I agree that this scent has too much sugar and is way too simple for such an expensive scent. It doesn’t smell bad though. Good sillage and longevity.

  45. :

wth tom ford! you’ve been flawless thus far, why did you have to ruin it with this synthetic suntan lotion monstrosity? i hope this gets discontinued soon. it’s a cheap tuberose smothered in sweetness, cream and what smells like nauseating gardenia. it’s suffocating, but not like let’s say… carnal flower(frederic malle) or jasmin rouge (tom ford) which are both very realistic and heady floral scents…but like being held underwater in a concoction of sour, rotting florals from the cemetery dumpster during a seething hot summer day. big PASS!
you want realistic tuberose? try these:
    carnal flower – frederic malle
    fracas- robert piguet
    tubereuse criminelle- serge lutens
    narcotic venus – nasomatto
    beyond love – by kilian

Orchid Soleil is not just a perfume – it´s a scent characterizing unique mood & feeling. Orchid Soleil is like weather before the storm & there is something exciting in this scent. If I could paint this scent, I would use various shades of grey & rose gold. This fragrance is sophisticated, velvety, rich & creamy. I can smell sweet orchid pollen, narcotic lily & wild tuberose /with camphor undertone/, raw chestnuts, smoky vanilla & pungent cypress aroma /just by the way – the drydown is salty & coppery, it´s a brand new experience for me/. Yes, it´s elegant and weird at once.

  48. :

The initial spray has something antiseptic about it like menthol or tea tree oil but that quickly goes away and then the beauty shines through. It’s sweet like jasmines and tuberose, orange blossoms and gardenia. Then there’s the sweet and creamy vanilla and hazelnut that rounds all the white florals out. It’s not love (not yet, at least) but I do like it. There is something about this frag that reminds of Muglers Alien. And nope, I don’t get corn chips or anything else with corn as an ingredient.

Wow, I just received a decant of this in a swap and it’s beautiful. It does take a few minutes to settle down and find its comfort zone on the skin but it’s a lovely journey and the smell that sticks around is a scent I was in like with immediately. Not love yet but a very strong like. Thank you!btw, if you’re reading this , please PM me the full name of that heliotrope scent you sent me as well if you would.

I can see why this one gets so much hate. It’s a Tom Ford, so naturally, there’s gonna be some controversy to it. Orchid Soleil starts out with an initial blast of scent that can only be described as corn tortillas…or corn chips…corn something, idk. I like that about it though! It smells like childhood memories of my Abuelita making corn tortillas and posole. After a little while Orchid Soleil calms down with the corniness, and become the most gorgeous, (still) delectable lily whipped cream scent with some chestnut thrown in. This lily and whipped cream scent is where Orchid Soleil stays for the next few hours until it finally morphs into a soft vanilla fragrance. Overall I would give this an 8 out of 10. It smells unique, lasts ages (about 12 hours) and comes in a gorgeous rose gold bottle. Despite it’s strangeness, I still love it and I’ll definitely be looking into owning a bottle very soon!

As scent memory is such an important thing to me, Orchid Soleil is the perfect perfume.
One of my simple memories from childhood, as there weren’t many, is of walking school and being given a bag of strange smelling green pod fruits by a neighbour every week: this is the smell of that.
Sour, unusual and pure perfection. If I didn’t have that memory, I may have hated this fragrance.

Orchid Soleil gives me an impression of a carefree day at the beach boardwalk — sun on skin, candy, popcorn, nuts, fun, laughter, and delight! Lots of tropical tuberose too. A hot day and some sweat on skin really bring out the best in Orchid Soleil.

Tuberose, Tuberose and Tuberose. if you don’t like it than you won’t like OS. Me personally, I love tuberose. I love the creaminess of it, the slight sweetness and the real floral smell to it.
OS is a real tuberose scent and the hazlenut cream makes this incredibly beautiful. It is so velvety smooth and creamy. I am having a difficult time deciding to switch this to my current signature of Kilian beyond love which is also a tuberose heavy scent.
There isn’t any corn chip likeness in this scent. maybe people that don’t like tuberose pick up on that kinda smell from tuberose but it is not here.
There is a kind of medicinal blast when you first spray it like others have said, but if you wait a few minutes that goes away and you are left with a beautiful scent that you can’t help but want to inhale all throughout the day.
OS is a Tom Ford masterpiece!

Thank you to my swap partner for the lovely sample.
I love TF fragrances. They are always interesting and quality to me. This one is no exception. It opens very unique with a mild Bronze Goddess thing going. The BG with the bulls eye on the bottle. The difference with this one is the Tuberose. And it’s a very nicely done one at that. Not heavy or thick like some Tuberose can be.
With this being said it’s a nice summer fragrance. It seems out of place for the cold weather. And while I do love and adore this, something about it would make me leary to use as a signature. It’s got something to it that strikes me oddly and I would not want to wear every day. I am not sure if everyone can appreciate it.

I’m wearing this on a chilly late winter day, and for me, it opens up with cypress, gentle tuberose, and what I think is the chestnut cream (a nutty creaminess that isn’t the tuberose). Then the tuberose starts to dominate, around the 45 minute mark.
The domination is pretty much complete by the 2 hour mark, with lily peeking through here and there. It basically smells like Easter to me at this point. At hour five, it smells very strongly of vanilla, with a bit of lily, and maybe orchid? Some tuberose is still floating around.
I’m now at hour 7 and the patchouli has raised its head. It’s a good patch. Soft and warm, and it blends nicely with the tuberose that is still here. The vanilla is long gone. Dry down is tuberose and not much else.
I intentionally under-spray to reduce sillage, so I can’t speak for that, but the longevity is good. I could still smell it about 15 hours after using it. It, however, feels disjointed to me, like two different perfumes instead of one. I like it well enough, but I won’t wear it again.

This is a gorgeous and unique perfume! When I first smelled it in the store I was taken aback as it was not what I was expecting. This scent is a lot more creamy and vanilla than I was expecting and it definitely took a while to adjust to it. Then when I sprayed it on my arm I fell in love more and more as the day went by. Definitely try this before you buy it because I think that this may be a marmite scent du to the notes blending differently with everyone’s body chemistry. Orchid Soleil turns out really yummy on my skin and I smell a creamy floral vanilla and a bit nutty vibe. I don’t smell moth balls or corn tortillas like people mentioned below… if anything i get hints of butter with sugar haha but in a good way. Plus my boyfriend thinks I smell like chocolate and who wouldn’t want to smell like chocolate?? lol. This will definitely be my new summer fragrance 2018 and I’m glad it’s not a fragrance every single person owns which makes it really special. This is warm, long-lasting and beautiful!

I’ve tried this twice, without reading any reviews first. First thought: wow, moth balls. Tried it again a few weeks later: nice, but still quite clearly moth balls. Have read some reviews now and it’s good to know I’m not alone in perceiving this. I can see why people like it, I mean moth balls smell powdery and calming, the resemblance is just a bit too striking for me. I’ll give it another try later. I trie
