I don’t know about the other reviewer, but this fragrance smells beautiful to my nose! Fresh, aquatic, masculine, floral, and mildly unisex comes to mind with this fragrance. You can definitely pick up the lavender and sea notes, but it actually blends quite well together. There are other fragrance notes but they aren’t listed on here. The dry down has a sweet woody undertone that gets me a lot of compliments. It is a strong scent, so be easy on the trigger. I can see why Mrs. Seymour herself would wear it, as mentioned before, it has a slight unisex vibe. I absolutely love this fragrance though!
UPDATE: So I’ve been using this fragrance for a couple of weeks now and I can see why the previous reviewer mentioned it being bitter. Yes, it does have a slight bitter musky undertone…but the drydown is nice and sweet and I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on the fragrance. People ask me all the time what I’m wearing and I’m like, his open heart by Jane Seymour. Give this a try, slightly bitter and sweet but still a good fragrance. Bitter things can be nice, just like coffee.

Wanted so much to like this, but sadly sending back to HSN. Much too strong and headache inducing for me. It is a male fragrance, but Ms. Seymour indicated she herself wears the scent when she is in the mood for a lavender and citrus scent. To my nose, it is very pungent and bitter, along the lines of the original Ralph Lauren Polo . So disappointed!
