Recently I received a free sample of it when I ordered another perfume,so I decided to give it another chance and more time
Lately I’m in a quest to find a creamy tuberose-coconut combo, something creamy, sweet and a bit tropical without lime or other citruses or any salty, aquatic undertone.I have to continue my search as Ombre Platine isn’t The one for me by any means but I don’t dislike it as I once did
It IS sweet and milky, but there’s a hint of something salty-breezy that cuts through the sweetness.I believe Tandaina’s review is spot on in this case
When I first spray it,I can detect coconut milk and tones of red apple which translate as pina colada milk shake to my nose.apple fades away in an hour and I’m left with a creamy sandalwood-coconut-flowers-vanilla which is pleasant but I’m still on the fence as there’s too my sandalwood in the dry down.If tuberose was more pronounced or if it was more sweet I’d rush to buy a bottle but as it is,I need further tests to decide
I don’t really like it’s first phase but it gets better and better as time passes, this smooth, well rounded creamy scent of drydown is addictive and beachy without being similar to all other beachy fumes,it’s also warm and comforting for fall and winter and it lasts and projects well enough
I’ve not decided yet but whether I choose to buy a FB or not,I find it recommendable and price worthy
    Edit:
10 hours after first spray I can still smell it on my hand when I put my nose against my skin.in this stage it’s pure sandalwood while I hoped it’s late dry down to be a vanilla, floral
Now I’ve made my mind. I’m going to use up my tiny sample but won’t buy a bottle

That was a while I was eager to try this one,It’s notes seem amazing and I loved to own something from this brand and in such a nice bottle,so when I saw it’s tester in a perfume shop I grabbed it and sprayed it on my wrist.I usually don’t try perfumes for the first time on my skin, but ombre platine has such delicious notes that I just wanted to see how is it on me and buy it ASAP.it was nothing like what Ihad imagined
I expected it to be a very sweet, rich and creamy gourmand.in reality it’s sweet but not as sweet as I wished.it’s texture wasn’t creamy and opulent,it was like a diet fruity milk shake with some pieces of coconut in it,not coconut milk.not roasted coconut powder, just some slices of the fruit and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream inside the milkshake.I love gourmands but I hate milkshakes especially when there’s not enough sugary
For me,it’s not sweet and warm enough to be a winter scent, maybe it’s all about my skin chemistry.I’m gonna give it a try again during spring and summer.however I don’t think it would act better in heat.it’s not fresh and has a dark vibe(not really a dark vibe,I mean it’s not bright enough for summer)
All in all it doesn’t smell bad,but isn’t good either,it reminds me ripe fruits softened in milk.I find it unique but not pleasant for me but I can see why others may like it.it’s even easily wearable for a man IMHO.recommended to lovers of fruity, milky scents
Longevity was very good on my skin but wasn’t a heavy and strong one
    ❤❤

I blight bought this because of the notes.
This is a sleeper, you’ll need to be patient with it. It opens with a blast of something sort of weirdly synthetic and overwhelmingly sweet. One spray nearly knocked me off my chair. That doesn’t last too long (thank heaven) and then you get an airy (really, I swear their’s salty sea air) vaguely pina colada fragrance. Since I don’t *like* pineapple in fragrances this isn’t a great moment. Fortunately it’s a vague pineapple hanging about behind the air and a lovely unsweet coconut milk (not sweetened dried coconut!!!).
Give it a while. For me, after about an hour the pineapple wandered away and I am left with cool ocean breezes and a very creamy, unsweet coconut. There’s something a bit warm at the base like sun warmed skin but the breeze scent keeps the whole thing really very light and cool smelling.
I like it. I adore coconut but can almost never smell it in perfumes, I suspect a synthetic chemical is used in most that I simply can’t smell because natural coconut oil I can smell very well! This isn’t big time coocnut but it’s enough to make me happy. 🙂 And I think the bottle is pretty and perfect. Would look great sitting on the railing of a beach house next to some sea shells and a fruity drink. 😉

Hi guys, I have been looking to buy this for over a year now. Does anyone have it or has access to a sampler? I would pay for it of course. I MUST smell perfume before I buy as my skin is VERY picky…
At the moment all I can wear is Prada Candy!!
    Sample for me, anyone?!

My friend gave me a sample vial of this and just looking at the packaging I assumed it would be some sort of spicy oriental, the sort of thing I hate.
Well I was both right and wrong. It is a spicy oriental, but I absolutely LOVE it! There’s something complex and layered about the composition it smells elegant and expensive.
Not your every day perfume, but great for when you want to feel mysterious and seductive.

Really synthetic opening to me. Thought it was only going to get worse. However, after about 10 minutes it started warming up and the notes started shining. This will never be a favorite of mine, but just wanted to say give it a little bit before writing it off as a scrubber.

oh whow, this really was something! Definitely a surprise juice coming from a bottle like tat!
The juice is so fun and playful and juicy as the bottle is cold and quite conservative looking..
I got a lot of watermelon from it…juicy ripe watermelon, which settles into fruity ice-cream like base..a very delicious, light-headed and easy fragrance!
The lasting power is great, and the overall quality of the juice is exceptional, well blended, with no harsh or chemical notes..

I can’t quite make up my mind about this scent. It is a lovely creamy coconut, but it is rather fruity and sweet so it picks up the unfortunate pina colada sort of feel to it. The coconut itself is wonderful I’m just not sure how the other notes all fit in. I think I’d like it better without the fruit, or without the coconut, or without the vanilla. Putting them altogether is a bit much for the composition.

    This is a full-bodied creamy coconut,with a slight
spicy, fruity trail ,lending a really different take
on the usual coconut scent! Unlike Lollia-Imagine
which is way more floral and soapy,or,Creed-Virgin
Island Water, which is more transparent and limey/citrus
infused. Ombre Platine , makes no excuses of it`s origin, coconut.
Pure coconut, fruit, and creamy goodness, the woodsy spice, keeps it from becoming a complete smoothie!
    Playful,warm,and uplifting!

Scent wrong and disturbing, jumble of sweet fruity spicy badly proportioned (will be pulled at random?)widely copied by Creed Virgin Island Water (which I dislike, but at least it is not so unnaturally). Beautiful packaging, to be kept tightly closed. Brosseau , wrong stroke .

I want to try this so badly, but unfortunately in my neighbourhood there’s no store which sells Jean Charles Brosseau 🙁 In the past I had the original Ombre Rose and I liked it very much. Just found a firm on internet were I can order the Ombre Rose but now I read about this one, a pitty I can’t try it out before buying.

This fume is like a silver moon that glows in the dark. I tried it today and it was love at first sniff! It`s very different from other Brosseau creations, it is modern and quite strong. Overall it`s a gourmand smell that begins fruity, black currant notes blended with backed apple, and then later it develops creamy on skin, living the coconut, caramel and vanilla notes to play the main roles. I also get a bit of patchouli, like a transparent coat, that gives depth and warmth. Beautiful.
